I have an HP model Pavilion a6528p tower PC, a Belkin F6D4230-4 wireless router,
My Brother HL2140-XML laser printer is connected via
USB cable to my HP tower PC
My operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium. My
ISP is Time Warner Cable.
My wife's laptop is an Apple MacBook Pro and currently accesses the internet via the Belkin wireless router.
NOW,
I want to set up the MacBookPro to send documents wirelessly and print them on the laser printer.
All of the other threads I found deal with Windows PC's but I have one PC and one Mac.
I need instructions on how to set up the Apple MacBookPro.

I don't see how it could have anything to do with any Adobe app or Pages. QuickBooks is its own thing and does not rely on any other apps to print.
I opened a couple of random reports and had no trouble sending it to a laser printer. Also no issue saving them to text file, or clicking the Export button at the top right of the report and having it open directly into Excel.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish, and what is failing? -

The laptop's too far away from the router to be connected by ethernet. It's all wifi.
No separate server app on the laptop, it's all samba
The files are on a windows laptop and a hard drive hooked up to the windows laptop. The windows share server is pants, so I'd need some sort of third party server running. Maybe you weren't suggesting to use Samba to connect to the windows share though?
I'm glad that you've all understood my ramblings and taken and interest, thanks The way I see it, I can't be the only netbook user these days looking for this kind of convenience, and I certainly won't be once chrome and moblin hit the market.

I can print wirelessly in my office from my iPad, but how do I print remotely via the web to my HP ePrint printer. The printer is set up with an email access address but I don't know how to access it from my iPad.

I have not yet exited firefox, as per https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1028115. An update took place tonight, but I'm not sure if that caused my problem. It seems as if all the sessionstore.js files are old, so they probably won't help. There is an upgrade.js file that has the right time and date to be helpful, but I don't know how to implement it to restore my tabs. I tried to open it, it asked which program and I said firefox, and it opened in a tab as a giant text document, which does seem to have the information I need. There is also a previous.js file that has the right date and time. This is ridiculously frustrating not having the slightest clue how to proceed, so any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated!
hello, first of all please create a backup of all the involved files in a safe location!
you can then apply one of the sessionstore-backups (for example upgrade.js) if you copy it to the main profile folder and rename it to sessionstore.js replacing the file with the same name that is already there while firefox is closed. afterwards start the browser again... -

If they have set up port forwarding for you already then that is different. In that case, then you could be experiencing the bug with the most recent release of ARD (3.7.2) and in particular ARD 3.7.2 and Yosemite ARD version 3.8 clients. It has been reported numerous times in the forums and to Apple that since 3.7.2, clients are frequently unavailable to connect to despite there being no network issue between the remote computer and client computer. I have not seen anyone report it who was working from outside the LAN to inside the LAN, but I have the same issue with a number of my own computers that are simply on a different subnet, so it stands rot reason that it would happen from a port forwarding location.
I am sometimes able to resolve the issue locally by SSH connecting into the client computer using Terminal on my admin machine and restarting or relaunching the ARD agent on the remote device, then trying to connect to it again after about 30 seconds.
The Terminal commands for this procedure are as follows, though you might need to include a port number from outside the LAN:
First:
ssh ipaddress -l adminusername
(example: ssh 192.168.1.1 -l macadmin)
Second:
sudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/k ickstart -restart -agent
After that, waiting about 30 seconds and trying to observe or control usually works, though the computer may still fail to show an online or lit-up status indicator. -

If you need to find your serial number you can check:
The box it came in
iTunes, by going to Preferences>Devices and hovering your mouse over the backup

If you mean software, go to the Apple menu and select Software Update.
If you mean the actual hardware GPU, that is soldered onto the logic board and is not upgradeable. -
