I/O Kit equivalent

Hello,
I'm trying to find the equivalent I/O kit commands for the Iphone.
EX: IOPMFindPowerManagement and IOPMSleepSystem
The only sleep control seems to be turning off the sleep timer:
setIdleTimerDisabled
I am assuming that this functionality doesn't exist in the iphone OS.
Does anyone know how to control the iphone's sleep function directly?

Excel MSGraph Axis Value w/ Report Gentration Tool kit help needed

Hello,
I am working on making all my Printed Data sheets dynamic so I don't need to have an Excel Template for each test I create. I have been able to make my own modifications to some of the Report Generation tool kit VIs to add little things I need or want changed, but I am stuck.
I currently have LabVIEW writing Charts in Excel, using the Insert Graph VIs from the tool kit but I want to be able to make the X Axis Values invisible but leave the Y values for this particular data sheet. I have looked through all my documentation but cannot find anything referring to setting that.
What is the correct ActiveX Method and/or Property that I need to incorporate to do this? I found that in Excel if I click on the Chart it is in the Chart Options Menu but I cannot find a way to control it through LabVIEW.
I am currently using 7.1.1 with Office 98 and the Report Generation Toolkit 1.1.0
Any ideas?

Hello,
LabVIEW should have access to everything that the excel ActiveX object publishes. One way to discover how to do it would be to record a macro in excel, where your recorded actions are on the x-axis as you desire. This way you will have a macro which you can run that will do this for you. Perhpas more importantly, you will then be able to look at the code for that macro you recorded, and make the equivalent calls in LabVIEW, which should basically expose which ActiveX calls on that object achieve the axis modification. In any event, to help you with this process, below are some useful links. Also, you will find other threads on this matter if you search the discussion forums.

The kit is firmly inserted in thhe iPad's dock ? You could also try a reset and see if it's recognised after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
I haven't had problems using the kit with SD cards from Canon cameras . What capacity is the card, and it's an SD or SDHC card - if it's an SDXC card that's formatted as ExFAT then it won't be recognised

IPad 3 ios 6.0.1 Causing camera kit issues

Hi there,
I would like to point out that earlier this month we got an update for the iPad 3 to iOS 6.0.1, which I promptly updated mine. Everything was working fine, until yesterday.
Yesterday I had clicked few snaps during the evening and wanted to edit the same on my iPad 3 and transfer the same via the apple SD Card reader camera kit which I have just recently bought a month back. When I connected the SD card reader to the iPad 3, guess what nothing showed up, usually the photo app comes up with the SD photographs.
Apparently the SD card was not recognized by iPad itself. I thought the SD card was faulty so I switched over to the USB connection kit and connected my Nikkon D3000 to the iPad 3 over the usb cable, and guess what, nothing happened here either.
This brought me to the point that, how can both of the connection kits won’t work at the same time, and then it struck me that I had recently done and iOS update to 6.0.1 and that could be one of the possibilities of it not working properly. Normal function of Apple is to kill the old version of the kits / connectors / docks when there is an update of the software, that’s what I have seen and suffered in the past with my docks.
Since my cousin also has an iPad camera kit but is using an iPad 2 with iOS 6.0.1, I used his kit on his iPad 2 and to my wonder the SD Card reader read my memory card and showed up all the photos on the photo app. So I then used his SD Card kit on my iPad 3, after 2 - 3 tries it worked. So at that point I imported all the pics I required.
Now I switched back to my SD CARD READER and tried it on my iPad 3, vola it worked, but it took it time to show up. With few more tries of removing and inserting the connector kit again to check, it worked every single time. I guess the kit I am using got hung or something and just required another one to clean / remove the hang/bug.
Now I wanted the usb connector to work as well, so I used a usb 2 gb Sandisk fat32 formatted stick and made a DCIM folder and added few files from my computer and tried it on, and this time the iPad 3 read the usb stick and showed me the few files on it.
After which I tried to connect the SD CARD reader again to check if it would work after the usb connection, it worked but was apparently showing me the usb stick files on the screen rather than the SD Card pics. On re inserting it, it came back to normal. Same thing happened when I tried the usb connection next time, it would show the SD Card files and not the USB files, but with reinserting it would solve the problem.
And this is the issue I am facing at present, if I use the SD CARD reader first and import my files, the next connection via USB or again SD CARD or via USB and camera cable, it will first show me the images of the previous connection and not the current ones. I have to reinsert it again to clear the old file cache and to show me the new current pics which I want to import fresh.
Soo could you please advice me on the follow:
Why did the connectors did not work at first on the iPad 3 ?
Could there be a bug in the iOS 6.0.1 for the iPad 3, as this problem is not seen on iPad 2?
Do advice.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Camera connection kit

I bought a camera connection kit today.
I attached it to my ipad and inserted my camera through usb cable.
But it was nothing happened. Also SD card neither.
There was no any error messege. I don't know why.
What can I do?

Is the connector fully inserted into the iPad's dock ? Also does your camera have a menu setting to enable PTP (Photo Transfer Protocol, I think) and/or Mass storage Device ?
In terms of the SD card, did that come straight from the camera or have you added the photos to it yourself - if you've added them then the card needs to have a DCIM directory off its root with the photos underneath it with filenames exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus their file extension.

HT4101 My Apple camera kit no longer recognizes SD cards. I'm running iOS6.1.2.

I have used the Apple camera kit with a previous verson of iOS and it worked fine, but since I upgraded to iOS 6.1.2 the pad no longer recognizes the SD reader or the USB connector. However, when I go to "settings","about" the hardware is listed. Is this a software problem or is the camera kit obsolete?

XML Development Kit - x64 Bit Windows XP - AMD Opetron

We are running one application using Oracle 10G as a database. While running this application on Win X 64 Bit machine we are facing the problem. This is a remote system not having the Oracle installed. We are accessing the Oracle 10G from the Server with instant Client.
Our application requires an XML support. for which we are using XDK provided by Oracle. This application is developed on C. While we can run this application working fully in 32 bit machine with the use of instant client and XDK. The same thing needs to be run on 64 bit machine too.
We want to know if there is a standalone XDK kit available for 64 bit machine. Our 64 bit machine configuration is: Processor: AMD Opteron 64 Bit, Operating System: Windows XP -X 64

Did you build the DEBUG version or the straight one? Or a little bit of both?
Can't remember if I had to configure the project any further than adding jni.h to the build path.
Maybe try cleaning and rebuilding.
Also, when receiving an error message, it is good standard practice to perform a simple web search of the relevant portions to find out about the issue - and be it only for practicing.

is there ANYONE with a legit kit from a brand? there are too many conflicting stories of brands with people who say it works and doesnt work

Problems with iPad camera connector kit

I used the camera connector kit yesterday with my sd card and it worked fine. I have tried to use it again today and it comes up with Contents not available, cannot read the connected storage media. Any suggestions as to how to get it to work?

How are the photos getting onto the card, directly from the camera or are you copying them onto the card from your computer ? I have an Alpine radio with an iPod dock adapter to let me control my iPod through my head unit. This had worked great with my Nano, but I heard that these adapters didn't work well with the iPhones. Mostly due to interference / feedback from the phone being heard through the speakers.
However, I was suprised at the compatiblity mine had with the iPhone, especially being that it is a couple years old (the apadpter). When you plug the iPhone in it says that the device may not be compatible with the iPhone and that you should put the phone in "airplane mode." I just kept my nano plugged in as I thought that I didn't want the equivalent of turning my phone OFF when driving, so one day I tapped NO. Well, to my suprise, I did not hear any feedback or interference through my stereo. And, In fact, While I was driving, I received a call and the music stopped and the phone rang!
So, your mileage may vary on whichever brand adapter you use, but I have found that it works just fine for me. Hope this helps.

How much external hardware support do you need out of the box? If you are willing to develop your own hardware drivers (such as LCD, user input, etc), then you can use almost any board with an ARM processor on it.

What's In The Kit?

I must say the performance of the fulfillment house has me chewing my nails. It took them days to do the simple act of processing a credit card and since then three days have passed and still no shipment. GRRRrrrrrrr.
But I would like a jump on what we are getting. Mark, here are the questions:
Is a complete set of Lenovo drivers and apps included on the disk? I ask this with clean install in mind--ie formatting the disk, which wipes out what is there and replacement with the new o/s and full set of software/drivers for the machine.
Do the disks include an update for the BIOS or is that something we do before any install begins?
If the disks don't have a full set of drivers and Lenovo apps are we supposed to download them from somewhere? If so where?
Finally a very personal question. I have a T500 which had a disk failure. It now has had the hard drive replaced and I restored the system with the Lenovo restore disks (version Vista Business 64). I have not done ANYTHING further to the machine awaiting this software. Obviously a clean install is the best route since no applications or data has been moved onto the machine. Your advice please on best route to take.

I'd like to clarify that the upgrade kit is equivalent to buying a shrink wrap Windows 7, doing the install and then adding all the Lenovo drivers. There is added benefit of using the enhanced experienced drivers included, but it is not an exact match of a Lenovo factory preload image for systems shipping with Windows 7 pre-installed (after Oct 22) as we've noted in other threads.

What is apple's equivalent app to LG's smart share app

What is Apple's equivalent content sharing app to Lg's Smart Share app? I am looking to watch videos and look at my photos from my iphone4 on my LG Smart TV.
