Hi - i've been working on a textbook in iboos author for a week and have been using preview as well as the "file / Export" function to copy the book to my ipad 3. Now all of a sudden, I am getting this strange "..requires a newer version of ibooks" error. I have not done any updates to either ibooks author or ibooks on my ipad. The book also won't copy to my older ipads which also worked fine before. I've reinstalled ibooks and ibooks author on all devices, but am still gettting this error. Even when i go and create a new book from scratch using the template picker and just save a fresh new file, I am getting the same error.
Has anyone had this problem as well ?

Marcthye chean - i've already uninstalled and reisntalled ibooks author version 1.1 (190) and I am still getting the same error message.

i have just purchased an i pad 4 32gb and plugged it into my pc and synced but all that transfers onto my i pad is contacts and apps films songs purchases etc will not download onto my i pad it starts to download but after what seems an eternity it stops and says error download failed have tried re syncing nothing seems to work, at my witts end to put it mildly can anyone help .please

I have downloaded several books into ibooks. Started reading one and closed it when I was done reading for the day. Now I want to access other books and when I open ibooks it goes directly to that first book. It does not give me the shelf to choose what book I want to read - goes directly to the first book. What can I do? Help please.
There should be a Library button on the top left. If not ap the middle of the screen to get it to appear.

The recommended solution for most families is to share the same Apple ID for iTunes and App Store purchases, so you can share your purchases, but us different IDs for iMessage, FaceTime and iCloud. With this arrangement, each person can automatically download purchases made on the shared ID (by turning this feature on in Settings>iTunes & App Stores), while keeping their FaceTime calls, text messages and iCloud data (including photo stream) separated. Before backing up my old iphone4 I traded it in for an iphone5. All of the apps I purchased had no problem downloading to my new phone from itunes with no charge, but I can't download music that I have already paid for that was not backed up w/out paying again. How can I get these songs to my new phone without having to buy them again?
Whether you can re-download music depends upon what country that you are in (and whether it remains in the store). If you don't have a Music section in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your phone for re-downloading it, then do you not have you library on your computer's iTunes or on your backup of your downloads ? If not then you could try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a re-download

I just purchased the new iPhone4 but when I went to plug it into Itunes for the first time I found that I had lost al of my photos, videos and music. I thought I had backed up my old Iphone by plugging it into Itunes before turning it in. Is there anyway to recover my photos and such?

I purchased a video from iTunes but it will not sync to my iPod. I get a message stating that the video "was not loaded to the iPod because iyt cannot be played on this iPod." I tried to use the "create an iPod version" but the command is grayed out
I was refering to the "sample rate", normally 44.1 KHz, the iPod might not be able to play tracks with a non-standard rate. Otherwise I'm not sure what the issue might be.

i purchased dvd studio pro and im trying to install it but when i go to click continue it gives me this "you cant open the application gestalt tool becasue powerpc applications are no longer supported" what does that mean and how can i fix this ?

If that is your intent, finding a substitute program that will run on your Mac may not be as efficient. Others can advise you on alternatives, or you can post a new thread specifically with that question.
BTW: what Mac and what version of OS X?
If it is important to you to continue to use DVD Studio Pro, consider the option of installing Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels on your Mac:
