I ran a virus/trojan fix and this is what it said it could not repair something in the main library core or something like that. What do I do? The problem seems to be with safari?

I ran the utility disk and this is what it said.
Warning permission differ Applications/Safari drwxr-xrx they are -rwxr-xr system/livrary Cores has been modified and will not be repaired.

Then I hit fix permissions and it said this
Warning SUID file Systm/Library/Core has been modified will not be repaired
I also downloaded Bitdefender Virus Scanner and it found nothing.

Is there any indication of the specific folder you are having problems with. Are you logged in as the administrator (or the same as when you installed) and have anti-virus disabled during the update? You might also try the updates from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows.

Have a mac book pro that crashed. ran disk utility to repair. comp booted and ran for short time. then crashed. ran repair again. disk utility said it could not repair files and i needed to format hard drive and start again. now nothing works

Erase and Install
1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU after formatting completes and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
5. After restart into Snow Leopard download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

Solved for me.
I set the owner/permissions of my profile's mozilla folder's (and all the files in it) to read/write access, and the problem disappeared.
in linux:''

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased. Some glitch occured and you have to restore/erse the iPod. Y will have to restore from an existing backup if y ohave one.

How do I fix my Camera Raw in Photoshop CS6? I tried to view an NEF file in CS6, but it said I had to update my Camera Raw to 7.3 (I had 7.0). You have my sympathy for your dilemma as far as aesthetics go. My previous iMac was the 17" core 2 duo and, like you, I think it had a nicer, more artistic look about it and it fit in well with the decor of my office. Even though they are basically the same in overall design, the newer aluminum models do seem to have a somewhat jarring industrial appearance. Nevertheless, I wouldn't spend that amount of money to repair an old machine just because I thought it looked better than the new models. I'm happy that I replaced my old white iMac but then I wanted the larger, brighter screen as well as the faster processor and better graphics card and all that other guy stuff . And now with the even newer and better iMacs out there it makes much more sense to go for one of those rather than to repair and keep your old one. More ram can be added very cheaply now and you can add a lot more to the new models than you have on the old machine. I'm not sure whether or not your old speakers would work with one of the new machines but a new set isn't really all that expensive and they might even be better. And actually, even though I noted earlier that the aluminum models have that industrial look (to me at least), those glass screens are great for graphic work. Much better than the old ones.

My iPad2 "could not be found on the network" and won't sync

My iPad 2 won't sync and doesn't seem to be "seen" by my PC.
I have rebooted, restored and reset the iPad, and installed latest ios.
PC is running Windows 8 with latest iTunes whic has been re-installed.
The USB port and cable work fine - I don't have the the same problem with my iPhone 4S.
The iPad logo comes up in iTunes as a device, and I get the "pinging" noise when connecting. The iPad details come up in iTunes, but I can't back up or connect or do anything witht it.
It won't sync and I get error messages:"iTunes was unable to load data class information from Sync Services"
and in one of my explorations
"iPad could not be found on the network"
Sometimes when the Ipad is connected iTunes will be ok for a short time, then go into "not responding"
When I try Windows Explorer the iPad does not show in the "Removable Storage" section like it used to, and like my iPhone still does.
In Device Manager, Apple iPad Properties, I get the message "This device cannot start (Code 10)". On line searchinh suggests this could be a driver problem however when checking for drivers I got the message saying my drivers were up to date.

When you are connecting your iPad with your PC, go to Control Panel, click 'view devices and printers' under Hardware and Sound. Your iPad device should be shown in there even it is not showing in My Computer. See whether there's troubleshoot for Apple iPad. Then troubleshoot it. It should be the device driver which is not functioning or being disabled or not up to date. You should be able to find your iPad under the Portable Devices in My Computer after the troubleshooting.

Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.

First, I would try the following suggested steps for when you don't see content in iTunes after updating:
Quit iTunes.
Download and install the latest version of iTunes.
Use the Finder (Mac) or Windows Explorer (Windows) to go to the iTunes folder that contains the iTunes library files:
Mac OS X
/Users/username/Music/iTunes/
Microsoft Windows Windows XP and Windows 2000
\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\
Microsoft Windows Windows Vista and Windows 7
\Users\username\Music\iTunes\
Drag the iTunes Library file from the above location to the Desktop.
Open the Previous iTunes Libraries folder in the iTunes folder.
Locate the file named iTunes Library YYYY-MM-DD where YYYY-MM-DD is the date you upgraded iTunes (Year-Month-Day).
Drag this file to the iTunes folder (the enclosing folder).
Rename this file to iTunes Library.
Open iTunes.
You should now see your missing content in iTunes.
