I run Windows 7 and fter installing update, why can I no longer able to distill pdf formats?
I run Windows 7 and use Acrobat as my default printer to store documents as pdf. After installing the update 3.6.13, I can no longer use my distiller as my default printer. How do I correct this. I have been forced to use IE.

Why in the Hxxl HP would make a user go through that to activate a key feature of a printer is beyond me. But this printer has some quirks that HP has never fixed through these past 7 years of ownership and driver upgrades to match OSX version upgrades.

After installing Mavericks, why can I no longer delete junk mail on my iMAC Mail program? Also, mail is sometimes slow to load in mornings on my iMac after it has appeared on my iPhone. I temporarily solved that by shutting down and reopening mail two or three times.
I have the same problem on my iMac. Most of what it puts in the "junk folder" is junk. I delete all of the messages in the folder and they're back the next time I check it. I have messages in that folder that have were received 2 months ago! I'm thinking of unchecking "junk folder" in preferences. Very frustrating.

I just updated firefox TODAY 8/17/11 and after the update i can't open firefox unless i restart my computer or i delete firefox going to windows task manager and process, also, i can't open a new window, it won't allow it. please help me, everything works on IE, Google Chrome and Safari, everything went wrong after the update

I have a new macbook pro running lion and want to update to ios 5 on my ipod touch. My old macbook only has 10.4.11 and can't be updated to lion - and won't update my ipod touch to ios 5. But the message on my new macbook pro says I have to update on the computer I normally use for syncing or my music will be lost. Is there any solution for this?
try exporting your iTunes libary from the old computer to the new one

I have a 2008 Mac Book Pro partitioned running windows and are running out of drive space. Can I upgrade hard drive for more capacity? I purchased a faster drive initially, but has 200 GB capacity. I am running out of room and would like to upgrade for more space if possible.
Can anyone suggest an alternative?You don't need to partition your drive to run Fusion, only if you want to run Bootcamp.
If you have space on your Windows partition, I would suggest you backup your Windows partition, and then, delete the partition using Disk Utility.
You can now restore your virtual machine to a single volume or repartition if you prefer.
I would consider upgrading to a unibody MBP (used, refurbished will do) just to be able to access the HD. Opening the pre-unibody MBP is not something you would want to do. -
i currently have a macbook 2.1xersion 10.6.8 and want to update. what can it support? Everything i try, it won't support! I can't even download IPhoto! Lion 10.7.5 is as far as you can go. You must have at least 2 GBs of installed RAM.
Upgrading from Snow Leopard to Lion or Mountain Lion

If you sign into the App Store and try to purchase Mountain Lion but the App Store says your computer is not compatible then you may still be able to upgrade to Lion per the following information.

You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. Or you can order directly on the online Apple Store. Why can I no longer, after having downloaded Lion, write accents and other diacriticals when in the Google, Yahoo, FaceBook, or even here in this post? The new method for getting at the "option" symbols works fine in other places like spotlight, but now even the older "option+letter" doesn't work in most places.
Chrome doesn't support the new accent/diacritics/macron chooser. I'm not sure about other browsers such as Firefox. You can use the old Option+letter combination that Doug suggested. Hopefully updates will solve these little incompatibilities shortly.
