I seem to have lost albums in iphoto and i can't find them in time machine either
I have lost the last few albums created in iphoto and they don't seem yo be in time machine either

how much free space on your boot drive?

I have just started using Time Machine. I was thinking about deleting old E-Mails on my Mac to clean. Does Time Machine back up the E-Mails , if so how can I find them in Time Machine ??
If you back up your mac before deleting your emails, Time Machine should back up your e-mails.
I never tried this so i'm not sure to find them in Time Machine. To browse in your backups simply click the Time Machine icon in your dock. In the right bar, you can select an backup. Than you can browse in finder, in your backkup.

I lost 2 folders in bookmarks and can not find them in time machine

If you mean the address field in Safari, choose Show Toolbar or Customize Toolbar from the View menu.
If you mean the spring icon in the Dock, that's not an application. Open any site in Safari and drag the little icon of it to the Dock; the preset icon points to http://www.apple.com/macosx/

I lost all my bookmarks and i can't find them in the last ten packups.How can i bring them back?
i'm not sure what i have done...either i reinstalled forefox or updated it before and then..i didn't find any of my bookmarks..i restored already the oldest one of the last ten packups...but i couldn't find any of them too..i don't know how this could happen with firefox..plz tell me how can i bring them back?..
Hi youssef8888, you might also want to search your entire C drive to see whether your bookmark backup files might be in an unexpected location. I would try this pattern:
bookmarks-2013*.*

I have a macbook pro and some of the original widgets have been removed from the dashboard dock by mistake. I can't seen to find them to restore tham. HELP!!!
Widgets are located in the folder, users/"user name"/library/widgets/
Whilst holding down the option key in finder, and selecting the library under the "go" menu, you can access your library within Lion.
If you have a working Time Machine backup, you can restore those missing files back to the widgets folder. If you don't, and your widgets folder is empty, then they are indeed gone (unless they are still in the trash). You would then have to re-download them from where they came.
If everything is there, then just click the "+" symbol at the lower left corner of the dashboard screen to add them back to the window. -

You may have to try a general OS X troubleshooting process to see if the issue goes away by doing this...
Have you tried: starting the computer in SafeBoot mode, with shift key held down; a login screen should appear after a time, and then the regular desktop. At this point, locate Disk Utility in utilities folder, and run 'repair disk permissions' on the startup volume, usually the name given the hard disk drive as it appears on desktop. After Disk Utility is finished the permissions repair, restart the computer normally.

There is an iTunes area in Apple Support Community discussions for more topics like this; except for when they involve a hardware product where an OS X is involved. If your computer is NOT a powerPC (an 'intel'-mac) the topic would more naturally need to be posted where that hardware and later supported OS X version topics get seen. So that is why one asks 'on what Mac running what version...' instead of writing four paragraphs in a wide angle reply. The details about your iMac and the OS X say more; without them, more questions arise.

Hi, I seem to have lost my original images and unwanted images have moved into my library. I couldn't access lightroom as I would normally and was provided with a default option which I clicked. This all occured while I was trying to free up space on my computer while viewing saved images on my hard drive, which are linked up directly to a photoshop elements program. Please tell me this can be fixed.....

I don't believe I did move or delete my catalogue. Where can I look for my catalog file. Why does my Lightroon now contain more images and ones I don't want on it, without my physically importing them?

How do I select and email a whole lot of photos on my iPad from my iPad emails? It seems I have to go into Email and then insert one photo at a time? Isn't there a way to select all in the photos and then email the batch.?
Actually, you can email up to 5 at a time from the Photos app. Select any more and the email share option will not appear.
If you explain why you need to email large numbers of photos, we might be able to offer an alternative. -

Does anybody know if Windows 8 is causing a problem with iTunes? Many songs on my old iPod are now missing in my iTunes library and I can't find them anywhere. . Also, I have a new iPod and am afraid of using it for fear of something else going wrong.
Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

- If you have an iCloud account, in a computer broser go to icloud.com>sign in>Pages Beta and upload to iCloud. You can then export/email in Microsoft and pdf format. -

I bought a new computer running Lion 10.7.3 and transferred my applications and files from my old Mac using migration assistant but I can't find/transfer my photos from iPhoto and I can't find my old documents such as previous tax returns.
Look for them on your old computer, when found copy the files to a USB drive and move them to the new computer.
