I tried to click "edit" on the home screen but a window keeps showing up saying that I have to restart my computer. But when I restart the computer the window shows again. What do I do?

You cannot use that ID without a credit card. You did not create your account correctly. There is very specific way in which you must create your account if you do not want to use a credit card. If you don't have a credit card, you will have to start all over again.
1. You will have to sign out of that ID before you can create a new one. Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID>Sign out.
2. You cannot use the email address that you used for the first ID that you created. You will need to use another email address now
3. You have to download a free app in order to start the new Apple ID process.
Read this before proceeding.

My IPhone 5 will not recognize that I have an Itunes Match account. When I try to turn the Itunes Match button on in settings I get a mesage saying I am not subscribed to ITunes Match. This does not happen with my Ipad. Any Ideas what to do?

I have just now tried the Reinstall via iTunes, about 20 into the download, the iTunes logo on the phone disappeared, and the Apple Logo appeared again,,, I waited until the iTunes stated that the download had finished, and the install was in progress,,,
Nothing happened, still the Apple Logo was visual on the screen, iTunes never recognised the phone which it was on my iTunes account previously,,,
Still just a bunch of lines, maybe 5 or 6 so small writing,, I personally can not read what it is telling me, someone said it reads, incorrect shutdown,,,????????

Was this book downloaded using iBooks, or from another application? If it was from iBooks you will need to install that application to delete it.

my ipod is disabled and when i connect it to itunes it says that i have to enter my password but i cant because there is no swipe bar so what do i do to fix this?
Connect in recovery mode and restore, you'll get the option to reset the passcode during this process:

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software. -

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if Apple Application Support won't install normally. You could try this approach first.

I tap the music app on my ipad 2, and it states that I have no music. I am signed into icloud and have a working wifi. I have music match through my itunes and none of my music is showing up.
I would like to listen to my itunes library that I have on my home computer.I backed everything up and restored my ipad.
It took a while, but the music app and the cloud are now working.
I just wish I didn't have to go to that extreme. Glad the problem is solved.

But it has worked perfectly before the update!Your iPhone was almost certainly jailbroken to unlock it from the original carrier. Restoring the iPhone has now removed that jailbreak and the iPhone has relocked back to the original carrier. Only that carrier can authorize an official, permanent unlock, so you will need to contact that original carrier and ask if you would qualify for unlocking.

K, well it says that there is a 3194 error everytime i try to update my iphone on itunes or restore it. I have tried pretty much all the things on the list from here and it is still not working. When I try to update my itunes it says i have a update but then after it tells me to update my phone to iOS 5.1.1 and then here comes the 3194 error again. Please somebody help

I can't find a changelog.htm in my folders.
Maybe that's an attachment to a message you got? I think it's dangerous to have security software try to rip out an attachment -- who knows what that might do to your mailbox. But if you see an attachment with that name, ''don't open it''. (Unless you are software developer, you probably weren't going to be tempted by a change log anyway.)
If you can figure out the full path (the missing ... part might be helpful), maybe it will show which folder this message is in. Could be in Junk. -
although it is doing what i asked it to do, i want it to charge, ok so it does it... although when i turn it on it's as if it's either not charged at all but only enough to have the apple icon on my ipod, once it's had enough (which is like, a minute) it switches itself off and carries on charging, sometimes it switches itself on but this just takes it back to step one. also, when i connect my device to the USB port itunes does not recognise it for some reason, i've updated the newest version of itunes recently and i've tried annother ipod on annother computer with the same USB cable, so it's either the newest version of itunes, my ipod or my computer. please help

i do have the required version of windows for this to work, my computer isn't a mac, it's a pc, hope this helps...how long have you had your ipod? mine did the same but after a while you need to get a new one because of the battery...
