I updated Firefox to 34.0.5 for Mac OS 10.9 rev34.0 and the screen is blank

I have removed the AdBlock to no avail. The screen is totally blank. However, I can display the troubleshooting information in a browser page. Another browser works fine on the same device.

Fixed by clearing the Cache. Thank you

Thanks for the reply. I tried playing with detaching the audio in iMovie, but with 20+ hours of video to correct, it would take too long. After 28 hours, Corel/Roxio tech support replied that it is a known bitrate mismatch problem and they have no real fix. I strongly suggest not to buy this product.

Try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear and it should reboot - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I just downloaded the new Mavericks everything was fine this morning then my screen went black as it usually does when I leave it for an hour or so. I usually push the on button once and it comes back this time it didn't. I hold the button down and it'll go off I hold the button down and I hear it make the start up sound but nothing comes on the screen it's totally black. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with downloading the new Mavericks does anybody have any ideas. Is there any way to reboot when you can't see what's on the screen. I believe it's coming on but I cannot put in my password because I cannot see where to type it in.

This is really unfortunate. I'm sorry that nothing works. I was going to mention holding down the power button and doing a force shutdown but you already did that. You might need to take it into the Apple store. I don't know if booting into safe mode would help. You would have to turn off the machine again, hit the start button and hold down the shift key after you hear the tone, but normally you would let go of the shift key when you see the apple logo and spining wheel. Maybe by holding down the shift key after you here the tone will cause the screen to come back on? The other option is to start up from the 'install disk' if your machine came with one. You would insert the disk, then shut down the computer, and hold down the C key right after hitting the start button.

What OS were you using on the mini before this problem started? If 10.7.8.9, boot to the Recovery Volume (command - R on a restart or hold down the option key during a restart and select Recovery Volume). Run Disk Utility Verify/Repair and Repair Permissions. Then reinstall the OS.

If you are getting the blank app update screen, many people are having this problem over the last couple of days.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this will work.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
1. Go to App Store
2. Select Purchased
3. Select All
4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store. Apple needs to fix this. It is a workaround only until then.

All other sites are being remembered.

The saved password feature worked well, but the site I had saved the password for required that I change the password. I have found no way to update the password in Firefox. After I deleted the saved password, Firefox did not ask if I wanted the new password saved. When this happened before, I removed and re-installed Firefox, and then it worked. I'm not sure what "Mail Update for Mac OS X 10.5.6" is. Mac OS X 10.5.6 is Leopard, a system that is quite old at this point. There have not been any Mail updates for Leopard in quite some time. If you are trying to install some old Mail update for Mac OS X 10.5.6 in Mavericks, that won't work.
If you are trying to install the Mavericks Mail update manually, that's not necessary if you have updated through the App Store. If the App Store shows no updates, you don't need this. (The error message doesn't make sense, and may indicate some other problem with your system, assuming that you were downloading this update from Apple's site.)
I'd advise you to start a new topic in the Mavericks forum and describe the problems you are having with Mail. Be sure to include specifics, but try to avoid speculating on causes, as responses that may be related to an inaccurate assumption on your part can cloud the issue.

It does sound like you might have a faulty video connection. See if you can make a Genius Bar appointment at your local Apple Store.
