I've downloaded music on my iphone 4s and went to plug it into my computer and I don't know how to make sure it doesn't wipe my iphone clean when it syncs.
I'm plugging my iphone into my computer for the first time and it is asking me if I want to "set up my iphone". I have already loaded a lot of things onto my iphone directly from the device and want to know if it will all clear out when I sync it to my computer.

I just updated my iTunes to the new software. When I plugged it into my computer and it said I need to reset my iPod. I did this and everything on my iPod deleted. Now, it won't let me sync my music or apps back onto my iPod. What do I do?
It doesn't say anything. It runs through the sync process like normal and tells me all of the songs that it's synking. But then when it says I can disconnect it, nothing actually synked.

My iPhone 4 will not turn on, when I plug it into my computer and load up iTunes its in recovery mode and the only option is to restore my device to factory settings, I have no back up of my phone I've also tried the home/sleep button thing but nothing, I have literally done every method I was told, I checked for water damage and that's fine. I don't want to restore my phone or buy a new one or pay for repairs because that's wasting money when it could be a simple way to fix it. And yes, I've also tried charging it and turning it in. I really need some help with my phone
That does happen. It depends on how hard the server is being hit, as well as the connection speed of your system. If you are on a windows system, you will want to disable any antivirus or firewall software during the download.

i subscribed for itunes imatch - it works perfectly on my i-pad and iPhone - however on my macbook - my iTunes can no longer find my songs - i don't know how to make it look to the cloud to play my music - i think it keeps trying to find on the external harddrive where i used to keep my music
Of course iTunes is looking for the music on the external HDD. Enabling iTunes Match does not magically change the location of the iTunes library to the cloud.
To play the music either plug the external HDD back into your computer or create a new, empty library to use for streaming the iTM content. The latter can be accomplished by holding down the Option key when launching iTunes, choosing "create library" then enabling iTunes Match on the new library. DO NOT have iTunes scan your HDD for music. -
After I've heard an audiobook downloaded from the public library, how do I delete it from the Shuffle to make room for other audiobooks? When I plug it into my computer, I get a screen showing how much space is left on the Shuffle but no list of files that I can delete. These books, incidentally do not appear in the ITunes screen. WRA
Select the iPod shuffle in the iTunes sidebar (under DEVICES). If this is a current 4th (or 3rd) gen iPod shuffle, you should be able to see the contents of the shuffle by type, intented under the shuffle's name (still in the sidebar). Select Music or Audiobooks (not sure where those items from the library will be listed). The items will be listed to the right, for each category. Find the items, select, and delete.

I find it more convenient to make a playlist in iTunes with things I want to put on the shuffle. I then set up automatic syncing (or use autofill) to have iTunes load the shuffle from that playlist, automatically. -
I just updated my iTunes, and I need to delete photos from my iPod 4, and there is a Photo Library that synced to my iPod when i plugged it into my computer, and now it doesnt have the option to delete them off my iPod. How do I get rid of these photos? I have read other questions that say to plug the iPod into the computer and like un-sync it, but I downloaded the new iTunes and it doesnt have a photos tab. My iPhone 4s hasnt been used in over 6 months. Everytime I plug it into my computer and iTunes, it says it requires a restore and update. It then comes up with an error after completing the download for the restore and update (takes around 10 minutes).Someone help me as I'm using the original iPhone 3 at the moment and it won't even take an ios 7 update!
Just to confirm on the screen of the iPhone do you see the itunes symbol with a cable pointing up to it?. If you do then your iPhone is inrecovery mode and would require you to restore it.
Now first you want to make sure iTunes is up to date and the cable you are using is not damaged. You also want to make sure iTunes is up to date.

In terms of the iPhone 3G that is definitely not able to update to iOS 7. Only the iPhone 4 and larter can update to iOS 7. -

YOu can't use the whole song for a ringtone, you would have to create one 30 second or less.

icloud has has exclamation but I don't know how to tell what the error is? I recently selected bookmarks for syncing.
TM will show it has done a backup.. Look at the info.. when was the backup completed??

The time capsule though blinks amber and the Airport Utility shows blinking amber light and has a red circle with the number 1 in it.
There is an error.. probably trivial.. firmware update, default password..
Open the airport utility and find out what the error is.
Simply click the TC and see status in the summary page.. it will list all the errors and what you should do.. fix or ignore them. ie this TC has an error.. default password.. I chose to ignore.. when I "fix" the problem the LED goes green.
Here is additional TC.. it is blinking amber with faults.
Click the fault. eg default password.
You can ignore or edit .. if you click edit it will take you to the full setup where you can change the settings.
I ignored my errors and now it is green.. -
My ipod when i cut it on shows the ITunes icon and the usb plug icon on my ipod screen. so I plugged it into my computer and when it took me to the Itunes menu it says I needed to reinstall the proram to the manufactures settings and upgrade. My Ipod appears to be whiped clean. I does nothing now. It didnt reinstall or upgrade at all. I have 2 Ipods and I think things got crossed up with them.

However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Featurs appin the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
