I want autologin from my form

Question

Hi All
Dear i've created a sechma eg; MANYUSERS and in this schema i have created a table having name USERS, now i create different users in this users table and when my application starts i have to logon to MANYUSERS schema first then my own created logon processing starts and users which have been registered in USERS table only can access the application other wise form gives message and exits. i want that the username/password for MANYUSERS should not be given when application starts,
anyone has answer

Hi,
1. Connecting to the MANYUSERS Schema
If you are running the application from Desktop (Click of a Icon), then in the
property sheet :
1. One usually sets up the command as :
c:\oradir\bin\ifrun60 userid/password@connectstring c:\MyFormsDir\MyStartInForm
NOTE :- Make sure that you do not make a reference to the database userid, password and
the connect string.
c:\oradir\bin\ifrun60 c:\MyFormsDir\MyStartInForm
So, when the form application runs, it will display the standard ORACLE login screen (i.e. To connect to the Database). In your case, MANYUSERS.
2. Second Level of Acess - Controlling by USERS tables
Within your forms :
2a. Create a CANVAS with 2 fields - User Id and the Password and a Button
This Canvas should be displayed first
2b. The field password should be protected ( Users should only see ****** and not what
they type on the text item)
You can set up using the Property Sheet of the Text Item to display entered characters
as ******.
2c. In the When-Validate-Button trigger code something Like :

lx Varchar2(1);
Begin
Select Null
Into USERS
Where user_id = :block_name.user_id
And password = :block_name.password;
Exception
When No_Data_Found Then
Message ('User Not Set Up.....');
When Others Then
Message (SqlErrm);
End;
NOTE :-
1. The password in your USERS table is it encrypted ? If Yes, you will need to encrypt/de-crypt
the password.
