I want to configure the 7330 motion controller without using MAX
I am new to labview and I have a project where I have to configure the 7330 motion controller without using MAX. What do I need to do to get started doing so?

Hi,
There are several VI's that are included with the motion driver for configuring your controller. They are located on the function pallete under Vision and Motion>>Ni-Motion>>Axis Configuration. Using these VI's you will be able to configure your axis. But why don't you want to use MAX? If you are new to LabVIEW I would suggest configuring and testing your motor in MAX first before you start programing. Once you have it working there you may want to look at several of the examples such as Simple One-Axis Move.vi. I hope this helps.

Simple.. bridge the TC.. in the apple utility in the NAT and DHCP area.

Hi I have a Teststand 3.0 system with a NI-PXI 4070, and I want to call the DMM-SFP from Teststand using the IVI driver architecture. Unfortunatley I cannot figure out how to link the DMM-SFP to the Logical name.

If you are using the TestStand IVI step types, after you have added the logical name in MAX, you can insert an IVI DMM step type. Then right-click on the step and choose "Edit IVI Dmm". You should be able to choose from the Logical Name Ring Control the logical name you created in MAX.
If you haven't added the logical name into MAX, depending on what version of MAX you have, you can refer to Using Measurement & Automation Explorer 2.x to Configure Your IVI System or look in the IVI help that comes built into MAX 3.0.

I'm changing from powerpoint to Keynote. In powerpoint you can change slides by typing in the slide number and hitting enter. I want to do the same in keynote without the slide switcher popping up at the top. Possible?

I have an older Airport Extreme (disc shaped) that we use with my wife's PowerBook (OS 10.5.8) and my MacBook Pro (OS 10.9.4). We currently only have Airport Utility on her Mac, but I want to upgrade the utility so I can use it on mine. Which version of the utility will work on my MacBook, and still control the older Airport Extreme?

Yes. Your G4 shouldn't have any difficulty connecting to a Wi-Fi network provided by the latest 802.11ac AirPorts as they support the earlier radio modes that the G4 uses. -

On the iPod, go into Settings/General/Auto-Lock and set that for the amount of time you want, form the choices given.
However, a note of caution; this isn't a screensaver function, it's there to prolong battery life. The longer the screen is on before turning itself off, the more battery you are using and the shorter the time before you run out of power.
There's possibly a better way for you to use you iPod than to keep the screen on. Why are you constantly going into the music function? If it's to select a new track, you could possibly use the Shake To Shuffle feature, which will select a new track at random when you shake the iPod. Alternatively, use the basic Shuffle feature. Or create a Playlist (on the iPod), where you can select the songs you want to play at that time, put them in one list and let the iPod play them. -

SQL Server Management Studio - Configuring the environment for first time use

I have recently switched my local 'My Documents' folder location to a network drive that I 'make available off line' to allow on-line/off-line work and synchronisation when I am working in and out of the office.
When I load my SQL Server Management Studio 2005 I frequently get 'Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio is configuring the environment for first time use'.
Management Studio them loads and I can continue without problem.
I am guessing it is trying to make reference to some settings file. Any ideas? I wonder if I can change/move these settings elsewhere to a local drive?

Manually set up the essbase 11 client (without using the fusion installer)
Hi All,
is it possible to install the Essbase 11 client without using the Fusion Installer?
I tryed to copy the "bin" and "locale" directory from an exisiting installation and set up the ARBORPATH environment variable - without success.
Did I miss anything? Maybe some Registry entries? Or isn't it possible to set up the essbase client manually?
Every answer would be appreciated.

How to extract the mouse cursor image without using JNI
I want to get the image of the mouse cursor of the system using java. The Robot class captures the screen only, but the mouse icon image is not the part of the screen, so it is not easily detected. But we can get the mouse cursor position using API, but how to get the exact image icon, without using JNI. I don't want to generate my own cursor at that position.
I am building a Remote Desktop kinda app using java..... I want the screen of the remote comp to be viewed on my screen and generate events from my machine to the remote machine. So, I am capturing the screen images of the remote machine. But the cursor is not part of the screen object. i want to extract the cursor image icon from the remote machine to my machine and render the image.

Thanks,they won't be 100% accurate. You're correct, Bluefrog, but the same goes for doing a count(*) (depending on the size of the table, ofcourse):
the table being queried might be under DML (deletes/inserts), and the next count(*) might give different results.
Both approaches will never be 100% accurate.
But simply selecting num_rows will be much much faster than doing a count(*).
Counting the number of rows always reminds me of this ongoing discussion, by the way:

Usually knowing the number of records by approximatly is sufficient, imo. 1000000 or 1000007 records: I don't care, don't need to know that.
I've never needed to know the exact number of records in a table in my code, or been given a requirement that forced me to. -
