I want to export few tables from 9.2.0.2 database and import to 10.2.0.1

Dear All,
I am newbie to oracle, my company wants to export few tables from 9.2.0.2 database to 10.2.02. ( they are using developer 2000 4.5/ and oracle reports 6i)
The puropose of this activity is to use forms and reports of 9i into 10g to check if it works.
The configuration of Test machine is core2duo processor, 2gb ram, 500gb hard disk.
I have few questions, as i am newbie am little afraid, so please help me,
what are the precautions i have to make before running export command on 9i database?
What are teh precautions i have to make before running import command on 10g database?
My manager wants me too export it with user,synonyms,grants,priveleges as it is production database? how to do that?
How to check what are the grants and privileges of a users in 9i?
My production database is on 9i and on solaris 10 i am going to install 10g database on windows xp as test instance, is it correct to do this way??
My manager said i should use NLS_LANG as AMERICAN_AMERICA.AR8MSWIN1256 as a character set while installing database.
Note:- I have installed oracle 10g from OTN.
Please help me as early as possible.

No, that it doesn't mean. You will have to use the exact right version at the right time. From lower version to higher you need to use source db exp tool and target db imp. From higher to lower you need to use target db exp and target db imp.
In other words:
Always use exp from lowest version and imp from target version!

5、Where the access crashed I used the ODBC trace to get the trace log of the ODBC API.
The ODBC API called by Access before it crashed are the follows.
I also ansysised the log,and I did not find any Abnormal.

6、I also did the test with the Access 2010,and with the Sql Srever/Oracle.
The results are the follows.
1) With the Access 2010(X86 or X64) and Access 2013 X86,it successes when I export the table to the DB Symfoware.But only with the Access 2013 X64,the Access crashed.
2)With the Access 2010(X86 or X64) and Access 2013(X86 or X64),using the Sql Srever/Oracle,it always successes .
According to all the descrived above, I wonder if it a bug of the Access2013 .

the latest patches of the Office 2013.But it doesn't work.It is down also too. And ODBC
drive of Database Symfoware is the newest driver of the Database Symfoware. Now I wonder that
if it si a bug of the ODBC
drive of Database Symfoware,I should fix the bug,but I have analysised the odbc trace log and I do not find any wrongs ,so I think maybe it is a bug of the Access .
I have see many situations about the Access down on the internet .

Import / Export Specific tables from DB

I am trying to export all 'AD_' tables from my database from another database with their constraints.
I tried a command just for export one table from my cmd :

I tried a lot for this I just want to export and restore all 338 tables related to Application Dictionary from one database to another database with their constraints and data.
I tried also using datalink but it only copy the structure and data but not the constraints, I want all three should be copy in to another database.
I know their is dependency on a table to another table but i don't know exactly it..
tried it onces again i am able to do export and import tables but only primary key related to every table gets restore neither Unique key nor Foreign key , please help me out from this i can export and import with full table with data and its all constraints.

ORA-02264: name already used by an existing constraint
The constraint is already exists with the same name. So drop that before issuing the import command.
And ,
1. Check if all tables get imported
2. If all tables get imported then create the constraints manually
3. If tables do not get imported then import tables manually by specifying their name in imp statement

You can get user details by name using DirectoryService namespace. Then you can create a DataTable to restore the information and then bind to the SharePoint GridView.

How to export a table from one oracle server to another oracle server?

Hi experts,
Scenario : Copying table T1 from Server1 to Server2.
Can I follow any of the following two options. Please advise if these options would be feasible under the current scenario.
1) Create the same table T1 in Server2. Export the values of T1 in Server1 to an Excel sheet. Make the Excel sheet as source and import the values of the excel sheet to table T1 in Server2.
2) Use an ETL tool like Oracle Warehouse builder to extract and load the values in T1 in Server1 to T1 in Server2.
Can we schedule both option1 & 2 as a job in Oracle Warehouse Builder? The job will have 2 steps :-
a) Delete all rows in T1 (Server2).
b) Insert the values from T1(Server1) to T1(Server2).
Please advise.

Just to kick off the things..
In case:
1) you just need to create a table based on another table in same schema. Its as simple as : create table table2 as (select * from table1)
2) table1 is on remote db then
create table table2 as (select * from table1@yourdblink)
3) Need to export and import table1 refer this link :

4) Need to refresh table periodically either schedule a job or create materialized view refer to this link :

Choose an approach. Then try it and see what errors you get, In case you get errors search on internet for that error code and how to resolve that and in case need any help post it here. But key is understanding first what exactly your requirement is and which approach you need/want to follow.

Statement used in my report -

Statement used in my web dynpro program
IMPORT it_ordbk to it_ordbk FROM MEMORY ID 'ZORDBK'.
This dynpro application is being called in HTML container on the screen.

do not use export or import in Webdynpro.
try to create a class with global variables and in the report or at the place of Export fille the data .
and next in the place of Import memory to to call the global variable in the webdynpro and fill the internal table

Export single table from Production

Dear Experts
I have to export a single table from Production and import that into Quality. In SCC8 we have a option in expert mode (SingleCopy option tables) will this help me in exporting the data of a single table if yes but which profile do we select?
or do we have any other method for this.

The fastest and easiest way is to ask your SAP Basis administrator to perform an export/import via R3trans.

Export few tables!!

Hello All,
I have a database which has 50000 tables. Now I want to export only 6000 tables out of it.
Usually in exp command, we will use the "Tables" identifier to export number of tables we want. But in above scenario, do we need to mention table names of all 6000 tables??
Is there any other way to accomplish this?

Yes, thats correct you can use the LIKE and IN.

In Standard Practice there should be some similarity like some prefix/suffix so you can use something like INCLUDE=TABLE:" like '%AB%'"

In that case as you know you have to list all the table you want to backup.

Exporting Alias Tables from Esscmd

I'd like to export an Essbase Alias table through Esscmd. Is there anyway to perform that function?My ultimate goal is to copy 1 alias table to another within the same database. I'd then run a load rule to change the appropriate dimensions for this new alias table.Thanks

How to export the table from one schema to another schema

Hi,
I've 2 schemas dev and test db
And i need to copy one EMP table from DEV to TEST db in windows OS
Could you please hint me in which schema which statement to be written ...

I am not sure I got it all. Do you have 2 schemas in 2 different databases or 2 schemas in the same database ?
If both schemas are in one DB, you can :
connect dev/***@DB
grant select on emp to test;
connect test/***@DB
insert /*+ append */ into emp select * from dev.emp;
commit;Or use a create table emp as select * from dev.emp; if empl table does not exist in test schema.
If both schemas are in different DBs, you can :
* use exp / imp tools
* use sqlldr
* use a database link
