I want to ignore the DTD

I'm processing an XML file with a DTD that I want to ignore. I'm using the the DOMBuilderFactory...have tried setValidating(false) as well as setNamespaceIgnore(true). No luck.

You can ignore the Requested delivery date , beacuse during delivery scheduling system takes this date into consideration.
Yes , you can default the requested delivery date by changing in the Sales doc type (VOV8) as per your requirement in 'Lead time in dats field", also you can change this default date as requested by the customer, during order processing .
If you make the "Lead time in days" field blank, then system will automatically propose to-day's date as the Requested Delivery date.
Whichever date you may put, system takes it into consideration in delivery scheduling.Requested delivery date means , customer wants to receive the goods on this date. System checks by delivery scheduling, whether this date can be confirmed or not.
First, it starts Backward Scheduling, means starts calculating backward from this Requested Delivery date and calculates the "Material Availabilty date"& the "Transportation Planning date".
If both these date ("Material Availabilty date" & "Transportation Planning date) are after the order date and the Material is available on the Material availability date then , the Requested delivery date can be confirmed.
Even one of the date is earlier than the order date or the material is not available on the Material Availability date then system can not confirm the Customer's Requested delivery date & immediately it goes for forward scheduling. Accordingly you get the delivery date/ dates in the schedule line for the item.
So how system can ignore this date ?
Actually this date is tested whether it can be confirmed or not
& whether Forward scheduling will take place or not.

How to ignore the DTD in an XML file

I am using XMLReader as
XMLReader parser = XMLReaderFactory.createXMLReader("org.apache.xerces.parsers.SAXParser");
to parse an xml document. The XML has a <!DOCTYPE ....> in it which specifies a dtd file. If I do not have the dtd file on my local machine, the parser will fail. How can I tell the parser to ignore the <!DOCTYPE..> line, since I do not want it to validate against the dtd anyway?

just comment out the <!DOCTYPE> element and you will not have any problem and moreover the default behaviour of xerces is not to validate but see the well formedness .If you want to validate the xml document then do this
parser.setFeature("http://xml.org/sax/features/validation" ,true);
this will validate.

Under Document Offset, specify the number of lines that are to be ignored at the beginning of the document.
This enables you to skip comment lines or column names during processing. If you do not make an entry, the default value is zero lines.

Is it possible to ignore the cover page of a document when viewing two pages at a time.

when viewing a document with two pages up at a time, I want to ignore the very first page/cover page in the document so that all subsequent pages line up correctly. I can't find how to do this, is it possible. I cannot extract or delete the first page b/c the document is protected. I don't want to modify the document in any way. This document is a catalog that has information spread across two pages. So, when the cover page is included in the two page scroll viewing option, all the corresponding pages are offset by one page. I want the cover page to be at the top, by itself and the rest of the pages to show side by side.

Ignoring a DTD reference

I'm trying to load an existing XML document that specifies the DTD as a relative reference:
<!DOCTYPE Overlay SYSTEM "overlay.dtd" >
When I have the DTD in the same directory as the XML file things work, when it's not there it fails with a file not found exception as expected:
java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\...\overlay.dtd (The system cannot find the file specified)
However it still fails with that even when validation is disabled.
Is there any way to have the parser completely ignore the DTD reference?

I'd suggest you shouldn't be putting those DTD references in your XML if they aren't going to be used. However perhaps you could write your own EntityResolver that catches references to that DTD and replaces them with a reference to some other DTD... maybe a trivial one that does no validation.

I don't know where else to post this question, so here goes:

Oh, and I mean for antenna broadcast tv. Not for cable or satellite, can't afford that.
Is there such an online site or application for Mac, Firefox.
Want to be able to look over a TV schedule and click on the shows interested in for the hours ahead and not have to bother even seeing (much less having to re-read) again the shows we have no interest in.
I would like the shows I do not mark to just disappear from the schedule and see them no more that day and evening.
Less clutter, much simpler, and a lot less re-reading.
So frustrating to have to skim down the column for each hour and look at all those shows channels I've already looked at and know I have no interest in.
I know, I should be able to remember (naahhhh), or write them down (naahhh). The mac is supposed to do all our work and thinkin for us these days.
Hasn't some bright bulb already solved this problem for millions of viewerrs? Made such an online tv guide website, invented sucha application?
I have been using zap2it, but it does not have any sucha feature.
I have Mac, Snow Leopard, and using Firefox.

I think the easiest way to do this is to have the EyeTV app running in one user account and sent via HDMI to the TV, and use a separate user account for Screen Sharing. Both logins can be active at the same time and with Lion you can connect via screen sharing to which ever login you need.
With regards to the Mac video resolution changing, when it is not the current input on your AV receiver. This is 'normal', if the Mac sees no signal it drops down the a lower level. What you need is to buy a HDMI Detective Plus which tricks the Mac in to always seeing a signal and hence it will not drop down the resolution. See http://www.gefen.com/kvm/dproduct.jsp?prod_id=8005
The Mac mini does have an IR receiver. This can be used with the EyeTV app, iTunes, and similar. Yes I believe EyeTV would run for prolonged periods quite happily, it is has been around for a long time and had most of the rough edges polished off. However one issue you will have to deal with is that it does not automatically update its program guide data. For this you might have to write or modify an AppleScript. Elgato support or their user forums will be a lot of help.
You can set EyeTV to convert recordings to an iTunes (Apple TV) compatible format and then delete them from EyeTV.
The HDMI Detective should solve your handshaking problems.

I have posted this before but I haven't had a successful response that
has solved my problem so I'm reposting it again.
I'm trying to create an ear file for our ejbs and servlets. I create
my war file and ejb jar files and then create the ear file. When I
start weblogic the ejbs load fine but I get an error when loading my
war file. The error is Deployment descriptor is malformed, check
against the DTD. The weblogic.xml and web.xml files are the same
files that I place in the
/config/investia/applications/DefaultWebApp_javelin/WEB-INF.
Our current way of deploying our application is to create one jar file
that contains all our classes and add this to the system classpath and
and add the web.xml and weblogic.xml file in the WEB-INF directory.
We also specify the jar files in the config.xml file to point to this
jar.
One of the things that I also tried to do is just to grab the web.xml
and the weblogic.xml file from the petStore.war file that was in the
petStore.ear file located in the /config/petstore/applications
directory. I did not modify this file and just used this file as is
when I created my war file with my own classes. I just wanted to know
if I was going to get any DTD errors. Sure enough, I got DTD errors
when parsing this file. I was hoping this would load and I would get
some classpath not found error or something else because I didn't copy
any of the classes.
I have attachec my web.xml and weblogic.xml files that work fine when
not building the war file. I just can't seem to figure this out and
would appreciate all the help I can get. The web.xml file only has
one servlet active and everything below that is commented out.

Hi,
The issue is not in the weblogic.xml file, the issue is on your classpath, JAVA_HOME variable, or on the starting script for your managed server that sets one variable wrong and the managed node is not able to find the proper JDK. My guess would be that it is the last one.
You may ignore the weblogic.xml warning (at least in WL 8.x) and correct that whenever you have some cycles left.

I have the password but i am hesitant to authorize it with my mom's apple ID and password because i don't want her account to be on this computer. I want it to be my own account just with my personal music from my iphone on it. I dont know if it will just sync my iphone's information to my new account or just add my mom's apple ID account to my itunes on my computer. That number is for an apple server in the UK that is used for iMessage activation. A hidden SMS is snet to that number when you turn iMessage on and is used to verify your phone number. I suggest you turn iMessage off. In settings/phone turn on dial assist. Check with your carrier to see if you can send an international SMS as you end that possibility to activate iMessage. Rest your phone (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).) then turn iMessage back on.

In any case, the dtd is incorrect and that may be why. The element structure is at least look like this.
