    iCloud will still work for free, i.e sync your contacts between ios devices and the cloud (icloud.com) but for the calendar and addresses to sync with a windows PC you will need outlook 2007+.
    However as you dont use that part at the moment i'm sesning no great loss - icloud bookmarks and photo stream will sync with a windows pc without outlook so the rest of icloud will still work for you for free

    If the Mac came with Mountain Lion or Lion, press Command, Option and R keys on boot, open Disk Utility, erase the disk and reinstall Lion or Mountain Lion.     I love using Siri and your maps.  But in Costa Rica, your maps lack of businesses data, and Siri is unable to provide any information about them, since this information is missing.  I want to offer my time and work for free to help to populate this information in Costa Rica, starting by capital city San José.  Google is much more advanced in the subjet, and I don´t see fair how complete this information is for United States and not the rest of the customers (not to make critic, just pinpointing a fact). 
    Who do I contact in order to make this offer?

    Please be aware that you are not communicating with Apple when you post in these forums. These are user-to-user support forums, so in almost all cases the only people who will reply to your posts are, like me, your fellow users.
    As to volunteering to help, you can report issues via the Report A Problem under the main menu in Maps:
    Apple does not otherwise recruit users to assist with data correction, in part because they get the data from other companies. It's possible that there is no such compendium source of data for Costa Rica, at least one that Apple has yet been able to strike an agreement with.

    If you click the Help link in most Adobe programs you're directed to a website which contains the image shown below.
    It makes the people who answer questions on this forum look like paid Adobe employees.
    It's very nice that Adobe thinks so highly of these people. Personally I have benefitted many times from their patient, informed advice.
    But it seems Adobe has taken advantage of this goodwill, using it as an opportunity to cut costs by scaling down its  technical support.
    Wouldn't it be interesting if all the people who answered questions on these forums picked one day to go on strike, just to show Adobe how imporant they are?
    I'm sure Adobe wouldn't suddenly decide to start paying people, but it might feel the need to improve its support to users. All we need to do is pick a day and spread this discussion to other forums.

    I have to admit that I actually troll the forums for questions I do not know the answer to, just to figure them out, or failing that, learning from the answer.
    By the way, speaking of working for free, is it really the moderators who approve new avatars? Just any moderator? Or certain ones? Or is it actually just Staff?
    And shouldn't they give moderators a slightly different logo from the "MVP". Maybe a little "MOD" to show who is who?

    I have maintained a condition record through MN04 in purchase organisation, company code and vendor combination. This condition record is working fine for regular purchase orders. But it is not working for free text PO's. Could you please guide me why is it so?
    I am maintaining same purchase organisation, company code and vendor combination for free text PO also. Question is why it is working for a purchase order with material inside it and why it is not working for purchase order with out material.

       Seems you are using a custom print program and form. I would suggest to change the program to SAPFM06P, form routine as "ENTRY_NEU" and the form as "MEDRUCK" in NACE transaction for the output type and check the scenario again. Also cross check the settings with the KBA: 1829682 - Output type is not determined in Purchase order
       If its getting triggered, then check the custom program and the form with the help of technical team.

  • How do I publish and ibook for free without a credit card

    I am working with a teacher to publish her students work to the iBooks store. We are trying to download iTunes Connect.  She has tried to use her account and keeps hitting snags.  Her account information is correct but keeps getting rejected.  So I tried the school's account that was set up without a credit card.  The account is good but my error message is the account requires a credit card.  Isn't free, free?  We are just trying to get her students' work published.  SHe has found the authoring of books very engaging to her remedial students. The project falls short at this time until we get the publishing part fixed.  So, help!

    "I’m the Adobe Creative Cloud member (one year subscription) and as such I’m entitled to publish a Single Edition app through my Digital Publishing Suite. Now, I have just been approached by one printed magazine, here in Vancouver, Canada, and I’m suppose to provide them with an estimate for adapting their publication for the iPad. Before I start thinking about my fee I would like to know what we have to pay to Adobe. They have four issues per year and I guess this goes under multi-folio applications category. Now, the questions:
    1. Can I prepare the folios with my Creative Cloud membership or I have to upgrade to Professional edition of the DPS?
    2. Does my client need to purchase the Professional Edition of DPS or not?
    3. Or, we need only one license of the Professional Edition and if so who’s is that license going to be?
    4. Or, I’m talking nonsense and you can just explain me how this works, please?

    You would need to upgrade to DPS Professional Edition for multi Folio Applications. DPS Pro is $495 per month + taxes. Also you have download fees applicable. You get 250 free downloads per month for the first year and  for any additional downloads, you need to purchase Folio Bundle. Approximately, each Folio Download will cost you $ .30, so you can charge you client that amount per folio download + DPS Pro contract fees.

    Now regarding your questions.

    You need DPS Pro for creating Multi-Issue Applications. With CC, you can create Built in single apps. For Magazine with at least 4 issues per year, it’s best to go for Pro edition.

    Either you or your client can purchase DPS Pro depending upon your contract with the client. You Client needs to get themselves Apple iOS Developer account.

    We got the Calendar Publishing working, and it's a treat, very nice integration to our Intranet, teaming etc.
    But for users that has a published calendar, and is then moved, the publishing fails!
    I've set the loglevel for the Calpub to diagnostic, and I see this:

    Personal use is just that. Export for iBooks, load it into iTunes and sync to a properly configured iPad.
    'publish' in this context means to share with the world via the store.
