I want to save many of my documents in my Documents file to the iCloud. How do I do it? I used to be able to save them to the idisk.

iDisk, iCloud, MobileMe? I just want to save important documents currently in my MacBook Pro in "DOCUMENTS" (pdf, etc. from any source) to the "cloud" as a backup source and to access from my iPhone. Now that iCloud is loaded, I cant find the documents I used to save to "iDisk". Any help out there?

You know, I don't know much of computers and of technology but when I bought that ipod back when they came out 2005 I was able to download music from my CDs and from Youtube to itunes then transfer to my ipod and back and forth to itunes . Then if I had changed of computer I was able to transfer to that new computer.Why I'm not able to do it ? There is a program(Sharepod) that allow to do that but it cost $35.00 but I thought that was free or it is because that now I have to buy from itunes only?

You aren't doing anything wrong.
If the PDF is short enough, your iPad Mail app will display the text as part of the mail.
Actually it is still an attachment.
Tap and HOLD on the text and you should see options to "Open In..." that will allow you to open the PDF in most PDF readers such as iBooks, GoodReader, etc.

Actually it is easier than I thought. It is H264 but the wrapper is m4v. You can just change that in the finder to .mov and drop it into iDVD. iMovie will send it to iTunes so just right click on it in iTunes and select reveal in finder and then copy/paste to desktop and change to .mov. Then drag into iDVD. Really easy.

Thanks for replying Larry. Takes a while, but I can see them in Bridge. I have to say that I'm not happy with this though. If I'm working with 10 or 20 or 30 ai files on my desktop, I really want to be able to see them easy as pie. I am organizing my external HD and want to move files NOT COPY them. How do I drag and drop folder contents without Mac automatically copying them to the "drop" location?

I am sorting out all the clutter and duplicate files on my external HD. In doing this I am moving the entire contents of folders to new locations. Some of these folders cointain gigs of info. I do not want to have to spend large amounts of time waiting for hundreds of gigs to copy somewhere then moving the originals to the trash and wait even longer deleting all of them. All I want to do is move the files up a subfolder, but the way Finder goes aobut doing it can be a 400 GB swing taking hours. How do I just "move" them?

I did a global change of permissions for the entire documents account in the currrent user account using the get info and apply to enclosed items.
I think what is happening is that the Documents folder normally carries an "everyone deny delete" ACL, meant to protect it from accidental deletion:
$ ls -lde ~/Documents
drwx------+ 6 t1 staff 204 Oct 9 08:51 /Users/t1/Documents
0: group:everyone deny delete
ACLs are special types of permissions that do not show up in GetInfo, but can get propagated if you click "Apply to Enclosed Items" on a folder that carries them. Affected files that acquire that ACL would require password authentication to move or delete them.
I think the following Terminal command (copy and paste it) should remove such ACLs from items within the Documents folder:
chmod -RN ~/Documents/*

Try resetting the Photoshop preference file: Press and hold Cmd+Opt+Shift and start Photoshop. Select "yes" when asked if you would like to continue with reset.

I have SL as I said...I looked in both the Utilities and Applications folder...NO QT 7.
