You can’t, and Apple won’t do it for you; the activation lock is an anti-theft measure. Try getting a refund for it.

You can go to icloud.com, open Mail, click on the gear shaped icon on the upper right and choose preferences, go to the Vacation tab and set up an auto response saying that the account is no longer in use. Then go to Settings>iCloud and turn Mail to Off on your device and stop using the account.
Incoming email to the account will receive your vacation auto response, and eventually the mailbox will fill up and no longer receive mail at all. -
I recently changed my Apple ID but I keep getting messages from my Cloud account asking for my password to my old Apple ID. If I go in and delete the current Cloud account that appears to still be associated with my old ID and set up new one with my current ID will I lose all the stuff in the Cloud?

Hi so I forgot my bbid password and answer to security question so Im stuck now..please RIM really this is poor that you dont have a sytem to reset it without those two things I see hundreds of posts all over google with people with this problem so if there is a way let me know but as you can see in the subject that's my question if it's not possible to reset it without security queston answer

You have to remember either the BlackBerryID password, or the secret question answer. Without either, you're stuck.
Your choices are:
--Use another email account to create an entirely new BlackBerryID (with which you will lose access to any purchased apps using the "forgotten" first BlackBerryID, or
--Find the initial email you were sent to confirm the initial BlackBerryID, and in it is a link to click to cancel and delete the account. Click on that, delete the account and then you can use that same email to create an entirely new account.

How Do I Delete My Postcast Channel and Create a new one
Hey everyone,
I have had a nightmare trying to get support from iTunes and Apple.
I have lost access to my old iTunes Podcast in 2012. I have been in contact with iTunes, Apple support...etc and they are not able to help me get access to my channel

Have two questions
1) Does anyone know how I can get access to my channel so I can
- Update the image
- Update the bio and show name
- Start uploading podcasts again
or
2) If I can't get access to it, how do I delete the channel and start over. or Is it ok to create an second channel under the exact same name new banner?

and the top episode downloads and plays when subscribing.
The correct method for moving a podcast to another feed is to add a special tag to the original feed as described here: however I would assume that you can't do this. Your next step would be to contact Support at podcasts 'at' apple.com and ask them to move the Store to using the new feed. Give them the iTunes Store URL and the URLs of both feeds. I can't absolutely promise they will do this but they have done so for other people.
Before you do this, test out your new feed by subscribing to it manually in iTunes and checking that the episodes appear and download. -
Can i delete my recovery drive and create a new one? (HP Envy m6 ko25dx)
Hi, I have an HP envy m6 ko25dx that I had some issues upgrading from Windows 8 to 8.1. I was getting stuck at a black screen on start up. I had to contact HP support by phone and they ended up sending me a flash drive with factory recovery data. When I went through the process of getting my computer working again, one of the steps affected the recovery partition on drive D: to store the data from the flash drive in order to proceed. I finished the process and got my computer back to Windows 8. After completing that, I now have a problem. When clicking on file explorer, the D: drive shows as almost full but when I click on it to view files, it says "this folder is empty" . When I go to computer management-storage-disk management, I have 2 recovery drive D:'s. One shows NTFS for file system, while the other has a blank and they are both 11% free (89% full). Also, there are 3 other un-named volumes; 2 have a status of "healthy (recovery partitions)" and 1 has a status of "healthy (EFI system recovery)". Those un-named volumes are a total of 1,100 mb's (1.1 gb) and they are each 100% free. The only thing that shows when i right click all of those volumes, D and un-named, is help and when I click that, it is in fact, not helpful. When I right click the C: drive, it shows: open, explore, mark partition as active, etcetera... Is there a way for me to access and move the un-named volumes back to C:? And is there a way for me to delete the D: drive data and re-create the recovery data from this point? A week ago I dared to try upgrading from 8 to 8.1. During the process it was recommended that I create a recovery set but was unable to so due to the full D: drive and the fact that i didn't have an external storage large enough. I decided to update the drivers and proceed without creating the recovery set or creating a volume large enough from the space I have on C:. When the computer was done with installing and updating everything it could, it got stuck on a black screen again, this time with the cursor and the ability to access the task manager with Ctrl+Alt+Del. I had to use that to manually download the Windows 8.1 drivers since it wasn't possible to do it from 8. 8.1 is now working. I keep getting warnings about D: being so full and I understand having a nearly full drive affects computer performance. If more information is needed, please let me know. This question was solved.
View Solution.All the "drives" you see are part of Windows 8 and HP's factory installation. The recovery partition is designed to return the computer to a factory like state and nothing more. You cannot delete the D: drive "HP Recovery" partition and recreate an updated recovery image. The following image shows the factory installed partitions on my HP 13 Split x2;

I've got a problem with my current account itunes (french) :
I'm between France and Spain. I usaully use french applications but I would like to be able to pick some apps in the spanish itunes store, and in the english one (such as i already do in the french one). Lately I change my payment data to my spanish visa card data, since then I cannot download any app anymore.
So I tried to create a new account in the itunes store choosing the spanish location, but it s not possible since my actual email adress is the back up email adress of my french account .
Can you please provide me some support ?

i just got my mac and made a ichat account. i think i messed uo because i had used two different emails. i tried to add my friend but everytime it said waiting for authorization and it keep saying i was offline. i was wondering if there was any was i could fix this problem. PLEASE HELP SOMEONE!

You haven't added any Spec for your machine or iChat version but you seem to imply it is new so I will presume Lion and iChat 6
iChat can use 4 types of names and some of those have sub-categories if you like.
In the iChat Menu > Preferences > Accounts you should have at least the Bonjour Option in the list even if you have no other accounts.
This is used between Macs on your LAN.
If they are using iChat and have Bonjour Enabled then you will see their Name as they call themselves in their Address Book. iChat will broadcast your Name as at the My Card in your Address Book (Head and Shoulders icon card).
iChat can join the AIM service and these can be one of three (sub) type of Names, although the Buddy list can have Buddies of each type.
You can register at AIM themselves, with @Mac.com and use a MobileMe name (Ending @Me.com)
Generically the Account/Buddy List is referred to as an AIM list as @Mac.om and MobileMe names are Valid AIM Screen Names
iChat can use Jabber Names/IDs. These include Google and there is an Option with iChat 4 onwards to use this a a separate sub category when adding an Account to iChat (In creating a BUddy List)
A Jabber ID can add Goolge Buddies or a Google Buddy List can have Jabber Buddies.
iChat 6 adds the ability to use a Yahoo ID as well.
Although the Yahoo for Mac App (it is still in Beta) can add MSN contacts this cannot be done in iChat.
Adding Buddies.
In an "AIM" List you can add Buddies by clicking the Plus icon at the Bottom of the Buddy List and selecting Add Buddy
You type the Buddy's name in full (As in [email protected], or [email protected] or the AIM name that the persons tells you (it may not be an Email) )
Allowing or Blocking a Buddy is then done in the iChat Menu Preferences > Accounts > Security tab.
With a Jabber/Google List you have to Authorize the Buddy as you Add them. A Person has to be in th Buddy List rather than allowing or Blocking them later.
To be more precise a Request to Authorize is sent to the Buddy and they either Accept or Deny.
In iChat 3 through 5 this needed to be done when the Buddy was On Line as iChat does not repeat the Request. From what you post it seems this has not changed in iChat 6
(Other Jabber apps continually send the request until such time as the person actually sees the request and does something about it.)
So it may not be that the Name is "Wrong" or that you have set up your account incorrectly.
I have no info on setting up a Yahoo account at present or how Buddies are added for Allow/Block Authorise or not.
What you cannot do is use an AIM Account to add Google or Jabber buddies to (Or vice versa) even though on the whole the naming formats (email Style IDs) applies to both.
AIM Registrations ask for a second email for Password recovery
@mac.com Registrations require a second email to Verify the Apple ID you are creating (It happens to be an Valid AIM screen Name as well (@mac.com look like email but are not so you cannot verify them back through @mac.com as it were).
The Waiting for Authorisation message only comes from a Google Talk ID or a Jabber Buddy List.
It will show if you add an AIM valid Name or if the Buddy is Off Line and not seeing the Request to answer it.

I am having some trouble trying to back up my notes to my iCloud
Not photos, just data synced with iCloud shown in Settings>iCloud. If you don't have sufficient storage to back up to iCloud, back up to your computer instead using iTunes (connect you phone to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of your phone in iTunes, go to ths Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Back Up Now). Also transfer your purchases to your iTunes library (connect your phone to your computer, open iTunes and go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases). If you have photo stream photos older than 30 days tha you wan to save, save these to your camera roll before backing up (tap Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon -- box with upward facing arrow, then tap Save to Camera Roll).
When setting up your new phone, when given the option choose Restore from iTunes Backup and restore the backup you made earlier. -

Only its legitimate owner can remove an iPhone from Find My iPhone. If you did not purchase it directly from its legitimate owner you're out of luck. -

It sounds like you might have broken links to your content. Either repair these by putting the files you've recovered where iTunes expects to find them or delete the broken entries then go to iTunes Store > Purchased > Music > Not on This Computer, and click the download links.
If you have an Apple device see also Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can only wipe your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely. -
