I was told at the apple store to open a new I-Tunes library and transfer the music from the old library to the new. He thinks there is a problem with the old library as it keeps corrupting the i-pod. Any ideas on how???

Was told by the person at the APple store today to open new library on I-tunes - he felt the current library has something wrong and that opening a new library and transferring the music to there would perhaps prevent the ipod from becoming corrupt. Any ideas how to do this???

You probably need to confirm the security code of your CC. Log into your account an input this, even if it's already there.

Hi,
Did you meet any other call delay when you using Lync?
As the issue happen for Lync desktop client, it can be performance issue. Please check if there is any error message from FE Server when the issue happen.
Also please check if you have updated Lync Server to the latest version, if not, update it and then test again.

I'm getting my "new iPad" on Friday. I'm replacing my original iPad (iPad 1). Since I will not be going to the Apple store to get my iPad, can someone walk me thru what I should do to set up my new iPad on Friday? I want to transfer my iPad 1 apps etc.

Since I preordered and will be receiving my iPad directly I will not be picking it up from the Apple store, so no set up from them. Can someone walk me thru what I must to do get my new iPad up and running. I want to transfer my info, apps, etc. to my new iPad but I also want to pass on my old one to a family member who uses the same computer. How shall I proceed? Thanks!

If you want everything that's on your current iPad onto the new one, then you can first copy all purchases off the iPad to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases. You can then backup your current iPad and restore the new iPad from that backup (a list of what is included in a backup is in this article - it excludes music, videos, synced photos). As the backup doesn't contain the actual apps, just their settings and content, for the restore to work completely you'll need all the relevant apps in your computer's iTunes library - otherwise the restore won't be able to install the apps and therefore their content (which is one reason to do File > Transfer Purchases, if that doesn't copy them over then you can re-download them for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519).
The restore won't copy passwords onto a different device, so you will need to re-enter your email, router, and any website passwords onto the new iPad.
Depending on what you want to remain on the iPad, you can then either leave it as it is or log out of your account on it (tap on it in Settings > Store) and then wipe it via Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings.

After having the Apple Store erase my HD, now I need authentication and password to move things from a downloads folder to another folder in Finder. WHY? And how can I change this?

I'm trying to move things from the downloads folder into a folder that is over there on the left in the sidebar. Every time I try to move something, I get this message and then I have to give my password. I didn't have to do that previously and I sure don't want to do it now, either. I've checked and checked and cannot find where I would go to change this setting. Does anyone know where I should look?

That has been like that since Firefox 3.0 was released in June 2008 - 7 major version releases thus far with it like that and the developers haven't changed it - so I wouldn't count on it.
When I want to save a duplicate bookmark, I just "grab" the website image in the Location Bar and drag it into the Bookmarks Sidebar, into the folder where I want it placed. On Windows and Linux, { Ctrl + B } opens the sidebar and then just drag.

I hesitate to respond because of your previous postings to others but here goes...
You know that Ethernet cat 5, cat6, etc are standards. If an Ethernet cable is cat6 for example it will perform as well as any other cat6 cable since it meets the standard.
If you want to pay more for a cable because it has gold connectors that is up to you. The gold Ethernet cable will not perform any better than non-gold Ethernet cables. The difference is only in appearance, and maybe quality of the shielding and connectors. Performance is the same.

I have recently purchased an iMac from the Apple store. I previously had a windows computer and I transferred all my important files and music from the old computer onto an external hard drive. I've plugged the hard drive in and I can't seem to locate it!

Before I set up my new iMac, I transferred all my important files from my old windows computer (pictures, documents, iTunes etc) onto an external hard drive. I had no trouble using and locating my hard drive on my old computer, however I'm having great difficulty finding it on my iMac. The external hard drive is plugged in with all wires connected and correct. I've tried all the USB ports and I still can't locate it!
I just want to transfer everything from my hard drive to the iMac!
If anyone could help me locate and guide me through the process of using an external hard drive on an iMac, then that would be brilliant!

I downloaded audio books from my local library, using Open Media. Transferred to my I POD. I can see it on my I Pod, but not in I Tunes??? Other books purchased from the apple store, cannot be seen in I Tunes???? Help!

There is a OneClickdigital ereader available in the App Store. Download that to your iPod to read pdfs and books from the library. And you might need to download the OneClickdigital eaudio player to listen to audiobooks from the library. Once both are downloaded sync you iPod again to transfer them.

Will the apple store fix a phone that has been dropped and will no longer turn on?

I dropped my iphone. The screen shattered, but the phone worked for about 30 min. After 30 minutes the phone won't turn back on. I can tell that the screen is loose from the housing on the upper left side of the phone. The phone is an Iphone 6 16gb gold.

The "Apple Store App" is an iPhone app and while it works on the iPad, you cannot change the orientation of the app. You can enlarge it by tapping on the 2X in the bottom corner, but you cannot rotate the app on the screen.

All Apple wants is the iPod itself, if that's all you're having problems with. They will not need the packaging, nor any of the accessories unless you're having problems with any of them. As to "what you say", you'll tell them what the problem is.

Had my Iphone 4s in rain and then the screen started to do funny things. (going to different screens and going to turn off screen) Want to put in a bag of rice now but can't turn it off, its just keeps turning itself on. Any help on how to turn it off.

When an iDevice gets wet the First thing to do is Turn it Off... leaving it on is not good.
If you cannot Turn it off... go to your nearest Apple Store.
