I was updating my 3GS on iTunes and my phone has frozen, showing the apple symbol only, what can I do about this?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

That means something went wrong with the update and the phone is in recovery mode.
Connect it to your computer and use iTunes to restore it.

i was trying to delete some songs from my ipod. so i plugged it into itunes and it froze. i help the home and menu button to reset it and now its stuck on the apple logo. i plugged it back into itunes, it updated the software i dont know if it restored the ipod. but now its stuck on the logo and it keeps going to the white screen and then back to the logo. what do i do?
Try restoring. Make sure you have a backup first.

Has anybody had a similar problem , after charging my iPhone 5s (with the Apple charger and cable ) , the screen on the phone has locked with the Apple Symbol , the phone will neither switch on or off for me to take any action , restore , upgrade etc

my ipod touch 8g 4th gen was stolen and jailbroken and when i got it back i tryed to unjailbreak it and update it but it wouldnt work so i deleted everything from cydia and now it turns on to the apple symbol and just flashes it on and off. wat do i do? HEEEELLLLP. please. my parents will go spastic at me if i tell them :'(

I do not believe that your parents will go "spastic" because your iPod was stolen. I'm thinking that you jailbroke it yourself. Am I correct? -
What can i do to get my phone working. It went to a black screen when I was playing a game. I pressed the power and home button then it showed the apple logo and went back to a black screen. Doesn't came on, show a charging sign, read on iTunes.
Press and hold the home and power buttons for 15-20 seconds until the white Apple logo appears.

Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network. -

I had a new I phone and I turned on iCloud and photostream , then only some photos from my old iPhone that I thought it was stored to my iCloud appeared in my new iPhone not all the old photos what can I do to restore my photos
Can you just back-up the old phone to iTunes and restore it from there?

My iTouch will not restore becuase for some reason it won't reconize it. I merely tried to update it with the newest software and every thing went to sh--. Now it is just stuck on the screen showing the apple sign. Can anyone help me.

I rented a movie on itunes and I could not look on the Apple TV.
I had to watch it on the ipad.
the control AppleTV airplay on the ipad is good, but nothing launches on the Apple TV

RixoIf you downloaded the rental to iTunes, it will appear on AppleTV to play under Computers icon - a new Rentals section appears.
The movie must download completetly.
As a rental item can only be played on one device if you moved it to iPad you'd have to move it back to iTunes to see on AppleTV.

Even if they are teething probs with the latest softwareWell the term "hotlined" I have never heard before. In any case many states (like NY) just passed regulatory powers to the State Public Service Commission of which it may be called something different in your state. You could file a complaint with them. Or file a complaint with your state attorney generals office, they also take on wireless providers.
The problem here is the staff you speak to are poorly trained, in days gone by it took one call to them and they pulled up your account and see the error and had the authority to remove any errors. They did not remove legitimate account actions, but used their heads instead of putting a customer off or worse lying to the customer.
Its a shame you have to go through what you going through.
