For your information yes there was a quit option, but this only worked as long as i was logged in. Whenever i logged out and back in again it returned.

Numbers is a lightweight spreadsheet. If you know sql you will know that it can handle many queries and is a real databases that can handle many thousands of records. Number is not the correct tool. You can make something that does something like a query but it is not truly a query.
Can you share anything about the specific application and how much information there is in each record? How many records (rows)?

When I attempt to sync in itunes I get a popup message asking if I want to delete, Merge or cancel. Not wanting to delete of cancel the only option left is Merge.
When selecting Merge all of the entries in outlook are added to the idevice. The next time I merge all of the same entries plus any new ones are added, resulting in older entries being repeated i.e an entry like “John’s Birthday” will appear 5 or 6 times on the same date.
How do I resolve this issue? How do I get the the sync process to add only new entries?

This is a great question. First, facetime will not work because it has to establish a Call connection first. iMessage should work, but how to get it going I am not sure. Two great Apps to try are, Viber and Skype. Viber is excellent, it works over WiFi, you can make free calls and free text messages all over the world with other users who have Viber installed. It does not even have to be open on screen to work. Viber does have to recieve one text message with activation code, to activate it, this will be your only hurdle, but maybe Verizon can help you get that one text message. Skype does have to be open on screen however, but this can function like Facetime with WiFi connection. Definitely get Viber free in App Store, and put it on all your iDevices so the old Verizon iPhone can function as a telephone when on WiFi.

If you wish to create a gap between the wavy line and the underlying object, you may:
1) Select the wavy line and Object>Expand Appearance;
2) In the Appearance palette flyout tick New Stroke, drag it beneath the original stroke and increase the Stroke Weight as desired and change the colour to white.
If you wish to make the gap transparent, you may:
3) Select the wavy line and Object>Expand Appearance and Ungroup;
4) Select the white path and the underlying object and in the Transparency palette flyout tick Make Opacity Mask with Clip unticked and Invert Mask ticked.
It may be done in other ways, too.

We would like to test old deltas from the source system( copied to new)

The scenario is
They will make a DB copy of the Prod system onto a QA system, the Copied system will have
its system ID changed(SID) to a new one.
There will be deltas available in the RSA7, as this is a copy of the 3 weeks old prod
system. Now the delta's will be available on the Copied system pointing to the BW Prod system.
We would like to test these delta's to BW Dev. why we would like to do the delta's to the
BW dev system is to check whether we can do system copies without clearing the delta's on
the source system.
After the system copy we will do all the activities necessary to reflect the system changes
a. Like BDLS, We20, we21,ALE checks, RFCDES, RSLOGSYSDEST, RSBASIDOC, etc on the source system to
reflect the changes of the BW Prod system to BW Dev system.
b. Likewise, we will perform all the above activities on the BW dev system by changing the
existing source system to the new source system( performing BDLS,we0, we21, etc)to reflect
the new Source system with the new (SID).
c. We will check the source system connection
d. Replicate the datasources on the new source system
e. Activate the Transfer rules for the new source system.
Now for us to do delta's from the new source system to the Bw dev system we need to change
underlying tables in source system to point the delta's, arfc TID's etc to the BW dev system.
We can change the entries in the TRFCQOUT, ARFCCSTATE, ARFCDATA tables to point the LUW's and
destination to the BW dev system.
What I presume is if we run the BDLS on the Copied system to change the BW prod system to BW
and also the underlying Tables for the LUW's and etc will still be pointing to BW Dev. I would
like to know if this is the case .
Lastly, appreciate if anyone can say if this is possible to do without having to clear the
BW delta queue on the source system.

tables ROOSPRMSC(Control Parameter Per DataSource Channel), ROOSPRMSF(Control Parameter Per DataSource Channel) by executing the ABAP program RSSM_OLTP_INIT_DELTA_UPDATE after we do the BDLS conversion on the new copied source system.
After the BDLS conversion I reckon the entries in the RSA7 queue, ARFCCSTATE, TRFCQOUT tables willl reflect the BW Development system instead of the BW Production system isnt it.

The problem is that I would like to have access and buy new apps from the UK store, but my apple ID is valid only for the Italian store. I prefer to avoid the creation of a new account for a lot of reason that are not related to this post. Do you have any ideas?

Nope. You can only have one credit card attached to an account at a time. Its not that big of a deal to use two accounts, users do this all the time. Create the second account(UK Account) in iTunes on your computer...sign out of your Italian account first. Then authorize your computer for this new account: Store>Authorize this computer. Then sync your phone. Now, to switch accounts on your phone: Settings>Store...tap the ID shown...sign out...then sign back in with the ID you want to use.

I would like to transefer some pictures from the Mac to the Iphone. How do i do this without losing all the pictures on the iphone through Synching?

The options in itunes seem quite limited. For instance, I have culled the pictures on the iphone down to a nice 250 or so pics i dont want to lose. But when I try to add another selected folder through itunes it wants to erase all the pictures on the iphone I have. I could create a folder out of all the pic i have on it now and then select that as well when Synching but that means any new pictures i like in the future won't be saved either if i wish to add more from the compuiter through synching.
How do i add a folder of pictures from itunes without affecting the pictures on the camera roll. This doesnt seem to be an issue when adding music manually to an ipod for instance. Wheres the openness of the system to hand-pick and create your own scenario?

iPhoto Sharing:
IEnable Sharing in your iPhoto (Preferences -> Sharing), leave iPhoto running and move to the other machine. There, enable 'Look For Shared Libraries'. Your Library will appear in the other source pane.
Any user can drag a pic from the Shared Library to their own in the iPhoto Window.
Remember iPhoto must be running on both machines for this to work.
Use iPhoto Library Manager
Export from one Library and copy to the other mchine and import there

Would like to populate an email from the client (Captivate 4)

I'm sorry if this question has been asked and answed before. It appears the forum search is down (and has been for two days now) so I couldn't search them to find out if it's already been asked.
I have created a training quiz that users are expected to download to their local system and run. We post all our materials to a SharePoint site, so it won't actually serve the quiz I've created for users.
I would like for them to send an email when they have passed the test. So I set up the "Send E-mail" parameter when the test has been passed. However, I would like for the Subject and Body to be pre-populated with information so that they just have to click the send button on the email. Is there any way to make this happen? I have searched for usable JavaScript to accomplish this with no luck.

If you've selected the Email reporting option and entered the correct email address of the intended recipient, then the body of the email should contain the test results.
You can add text automatically to the Subject line of the generated email by adding some code after the email address. If your email is [email protected] then just add ?Your_Subject_Here after it. So the full email address would be [email protected]?Your_Subject_Here

This is about all you can do as far as spicing up the emails. But you need to be aware that email reporting has many potential failure points. Not a lot of users find it a very satisfactory solution overall. It's nowhere near as reliable as other reporting methods.

What is the best way to backup all Photos, Videos, Music, and other documents so that I can basically clean up my laptop? I would like to keep all applications during the "reboot", and I already have an external hard drive.

I have filled up the 500 GB of internal storage on my Mid 2010 laptop, and I have no intentions of getting anything newer. I would like to backup basically everything so that I can pull it off a hard drive as needed, but I am worried if I "reboot" my laptop, I'll lose all files and applications.

You say that you already have an external hard drive? Of what capacity? With some libraries, it's simply a matter of dragging and dropping them to copy them to an external drive (such as videos, etc.). But you want to be a bit careful about moving your iTunes Library so you won't lose the links to your music (see -> http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1449 and http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1751) and photos (see -> http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1229?viewlocale=en_US).
Once you've established that your relocated Libraries are still functioning and that you've copied your movies, you can delete these items from your internal drive. You could, if you wanted, invest in a larger internal drive so that you could always have your data stored so that you can take it with you, of course.
But if you safely move all of your files to an external, you can trash the originals and make space on your internal drive.

What do you mean by you can add music to your Shuffle from your account? Is the music in your iTunes library? Is it configured to sync to your Shuffle?
