So long as your TV has an HDMI input then you need a mini-displayport to HDMI cable, like this:

The file is too large to download via 3G. There is a 20MB limit with 3G. The purpose of having 3G is that you have internet access everywhere and do not need to be near a WiFi hotspot or network.
Not every single thing that you do every single minute of the day on the iPad involves downloading files larger than 20MB. You can surf the internet all day long sitting out in a park somewhere with 3G - but not with a WiFi only iPad - unless you use a hotspot with it.
Try turning off your firewall and anti virus software while you try to download the iOS update. -
I currently have a nice home stereo component system. I also have a 500 GB external hard drive loaded with music. I am looking for a way to play the music off this Hard Drive onto my home stereo system. I currently have a WD home entertainment box that I can play movies that I download off the Internet on my TV, of course piped through my home stereo for the sound. I would like to know if the mac-mini could be used in this form also. Just have the HD hooked to it, the TV would become my monitor and the mac mini would play the music ... RANDOMLY ... with the use of iTunes. This of course would be hooked up to the home system with an hdmi cable and the HD hooked up through a USB connection.

You can directly connect the speaker out port of the Mac mini to an input on the AV Receiver which then feeds your speakers. This would be an audio only solution. If you use a TOS-Link connection this will be a pure digital connection ensuring the best quality (important for audiophiles).
You can if you wish connect the video from the Mac mini to the AV Receiver, and if you have a Mac mini with HDMI or a Mini Displayport you can run the audio and video via a single cable. (Older models would use two cables, the aforementioned TOS-Link pus a DVI to HDMI cable.)
If you do connect the video output from the Mac to the AV Receiver you can then display this on your TV, and have as one possibility iTunes displayed with perhaps one of the iTunes visualisers playing along with the music. Another possibility would be to use FrontRow on the Mac.
A different approach would be to have the Mac mini stream over a network to a device e.g. the Sonos Zoneplayer which is then connected to the AV Receiver. An AirPort Express is also able to do this. -
I tried to update my iPhone 4 to iOS and it was going fine intell it got to the part where the screen was black with the apple logo and had the loading bar and it didn't load then it shut off for 30 seconds and turned on and said connect to iTunes I payed a lot of money for that phone and. I'm beyond mad......!!!!

My iphone screen has gone completely blank I have tried holding down both the sleep and home buttons and nothing has happened and I have tried to connect it to my laptop but itunes will not recognise, what can I do ?

I just purchased an AppleTV and am trying to connect AirPlay with my mac (2012 model) In 'system preferences > displays' an airplay menu is listed but it says 'no device detected'. My AppleTV and macbook are connected to the same network. Any suggestions why it is not working?
Troubleshoot the network as that is likely what is causing the issue.
Also, temporarily disable the firewall on the Mac and disable IPV6 on the computer. -

I would like to know which is the most stable upgrade for my model? Mountain Lion, Mavericks or Yosemite?
When I had gone to the apple care centre in India a few months ago to upgrade my OSX to Mountain Lion, I was told that considering my macbook pro's specs, upgrading it would just make it less efficient, and that I should stick to Snow Leopard unless I consider buying a newer mac that would benefit from it. Is this true? I find it a bit hard to believe. Which update is most recommended?
I also notice that my mac has gotten considerably slower. While using chrome, it buffers and struggles with even just 5 tabs open. Could this have something to do with my current ios? As a precaution, I have always been making sure I have enough free space on disk i.e around 70 - 100 free out of 250GB.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.Mavericks is no longer available from the App Store, so your choice is Yosemite. One option is to create a new partition (~30- 50 GB), install the new OS, and ‘test drive’ it. If you like/don’t like it it, you can then remove the partition. Do a backup before you do anything. By doing this, if you don’t like it you won't have to go though the revert process.

Question about personal hotspot. I know I can share GSM / 3G but I would like to know if my iPhone is connected to a wifi can I also share that wifi collection, through personal hotspot? And if so can it be through wifi or does it have to be Bluetooth or USB?
Sounds like an odd question but my phone will connect to BT Openzone so I want to share that with my iPad via personal hotspot. I could use 3G but then it comes off my data allowance and I don't want to have to buy a separate SIM for my iPad if I can avoid it. I can swap my sim from my phone, but that's a pain!

I would like to know if "Restore Backup" to my new phone will load up all the information I have which backed up from my other phone. I only "clicked" on "Backup" when I connected the new phone to my computer. I was afraid to click on "Restore Backup" to have all the other information I had from my other iPhone load up to my new iPhone. Hope you can help. I would presume so, but it might be worth your while to experiment and play around with different combinations to see if you can block FaceTime while keeping Game Center open. Good luck!
