IBM websphere 6.1 integration with OAM

Hi,
1) Is the "interceptorClassName" Clases Name important? can i name it as other thing rather than what is stated in the documentation?
example:
According to the WAS integtraion guide the Interceptor classname is as: com.oblix.tai.was5.WebGate2TrustAssociationInterceptor
Can i change it to com.oblix.tai.was5.WebGateTrustAssociationInterceptor
2) Is there anywhere to verify that TAI is loaded properly and how do i test it?

Interceptor classname is under WAS, Secure administration -> applications, and infrastructure -> Trust association -> Interceptors

im trying to integrate OAM with WAS without reverse proxy and i followed the documentation religiously. in the documentation
Defining an Oracle Access Manager Policy Domain for WebSphere without Reverse Proxy_
Without reverse proxy, disabling SSO in WAS is required. I will need to protect the WebSphere Administrative Console SSL URL. Otherwise, I will not be able to access the console after disabling SSO in WAS. I have create the policy domain as the documentation.
■ Resource Type: http
■ Host Identifier: xxx
■ URL Prefix: _/ibm/console; and /admin_
■ Description: Used by NetPointWASRegistry TAI component.
Authorization Rules: Click the Authorization Rules tab, click Add, and then create and save an authorization rule to allow access to WebSphere Administrative
Console resources. For example:
a. Click General, then enter and save:
* Name: Allow Administrator.
* Description: Allow access to WebSphere Administrative Console resources.
* Enabled: Yes
* Allow takes Precedence: Yes
Without Reverse Proxy: Click Actions, then enter and save the following WebSphere Administrative Console SSL URL for Authentication Success. For example:
Redirect to: https://hostname:port/ibm/console *<- i found out that once I had this implemented. I will be going in an authentication cycle (keep getting authenticated and redirected back to the same page) because it is part of the resources I had it declare previously to be protected.*
Is there a work around or is it due to documentation error?

  • Obiee 11.1.1.5 integration with OAM

    Hi,
    I integrated OBIEE 11.1.1.5 with OID11g (as a part of OAM integration),all OID users are getting reflected into obiee.Im able to login in to the ‘analytics’ but not able to access the reports.Also I'm not able to assign any BI groups to OID users.
    Have anyone faced this kind of a scenario?Can anyone please help me?
    If anyone have done obiee 11.1.1.5 integration with oam 11g,please provide me the document which you followed.

  • XI to IBM Websphere Default JMS Provider with JNDI

    Hello everybody!
    We face a problem with connecting SAP XI to IBM WebSphere Default JMS Provider (need to send a message from XI to WebSphere JMS and receive the response).
    We have the following versions installed:
        SAP XI: 7.0 SP8 , Sun JDK 1.4.2
        IBM WebSphere: IBM WebSphere Application Server ND, 6.0.2.17, J2RE 1.4.2 IBM
    We cannot set the JMS adapter of SAP XI for conecting with IBM WebSphere Default JMS Provider. The Communication Channel has erroneous state (at runtime) and the Communication Channel Monitoring tool displays the error message as described below (under "Variant 1" and "Variant 2" sub-headings) depending on the settings performed. 
    For connecting, the following JMS-provider settings were used at IBM WebSphere side:
       JMS Providers: Default Messaging Provider
       Queue Connection Factories: name:QueueConnectionFactory, jndi:jms/QueueConnectionFactory, provider: Default Messaging Provider
       Queues: name Queue, jndi: jms/Queue, provider: Default Messaging Provider
    The XI communication channel (and associated JMS-adapter) was set as Variants 1 and 2 show. Settings for both cases and received error messages were the following:
    <b>Variant 1.</b>
        Adapter type: JMS
        Type: Receiver
        JMS Provider: Access JMS Provider with JNDI (Java Naming and Directory Interface)
        JNDI Lookup Name of QueueConnectionFactory:  jms/QueueConnectionFactory
        JNDI Lookup Name of JMS Queue: jms/Queue
        Name of JNDI Initial Context Factory: com.sap.engine.services.jndi.InitialContextFactoryImpl
        JNDI Server Address: iiop://WEBSPHERE.HOST:2809/ 
        As the result, the Communication Channel Monitoring displays that the channel has erroneous state and the following error message is written:
        "Error during channel initialization; exception trace: com.sap.engine.services.jndi.persistent.exceptions.NameNotFoundException: Object not found in lookup of jms/QueueConnectionFactory.
    at com.sap.engine.services.jndi.implserver.ServerContextImpl.lookup(ServerContextImpl.java:649)"
    <b>Variant 2</b>
        The same settings as in Variant 1 above, were used and additionally the following settings were done:
        - Name of JNDI Initial Context Factory: com.ibm.websphere.naming.WsnInitialContextFactory
        - The archive aii_af_jmsproviderlib.sda containing libraries required by WsInitialContextFactory, was deployed to the SAP WebAS where the XI is running. Those libraries were taken from WebSphere Application Server Pluggable Application Client installation package (described in the article "WebSphere Application Server Pluggable Application Client" located at http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/websphere/library/techarticles/0409_bhogal/0409_bhogal.html)
        - Also, as it is recommended in the referred article, the files required by IBM's iiop protocol (ibmext.jar ibmorb.jar ibmorbapi.jar) were put to the folder jre/lib/endorsed of the server(Sun JVM 1.4.2 is used by SAP WebAS / XI).
        As the result, the Communication Channel Monitoring displays that the channel has erroneous state as well and the following error message is written:
       "No adapter registered for this channel"
    We have not found the recommended solution either in SDN forums or in Internet in general. Is it yet possible to connect SAP XI to IBM WebSphere Default JMS Provider having mentioned product versioning? If yes, what settings have to be performed?

    IBM Websphere Default JMS Provider which is installed alongwith the application server is nothing but a scaled down version of the IBM WebSphere MQSeries. you should be able to connect to it with the same settings that can be used for a separate MQSeries server connectivity from XI.

    I am integrating OBIEE 11.1.1.5 with OAM 11gR1 (11.1.1.5).
    I have configured as per section 12.3 of following link:

    After making all these configurtions, when i access:
    http://<OHS server>:<OHS port>/analytics
    User is getting prompted for auth from OAM. After successful auth, request gets redirected to WebLogic server hosting the OBIEE app. I have verified in OBI logs that the header value OAM_REMOTE_USER gets passed to OBI.
    But even with all this, after successful OAM authentication, user is getting prompted with OBI login page.

    I have already make the following configurations as per the documentation:
    To enable SSO:
    1.Log in to OBIEE at
    http://[OBIEE server:port]/em.
    2.Click Farm_<OBIEEDomain>_domain > Business Intelligence > Coreapplication.
    3.Click the Security tab.
    4.Select Enable SSO.
    5.Select SSO Provider: Oracle Access Manager.
    6.Click Apply and Activate Changes.
    Do we need to make some other configurations also at OBIEE EM ?

    Basically I am saying that your options are
    1. Screenscraping the apps into portlets
    2. Using SSO to login to the apps, but keepin them separate
    3. Using Web Services to consume parts of the apps and exposing those as portlets
    For our application we do 2 and 3. In many cases we just create portlets that represents views into other j2ee apps. When the users click on something, we launch the j2ee app in a popup browser. The users are already signed on, and taken to a specific detail page, add page or something within the app directly.

    I have a requirment where I need to protect OSB inbound http webservice with OAM. So that OAM can fetch the user details from webservice SOAP header & authenticate the user against LDAP.
    Can someone tell me if this is a feasible approach. If yes, please share the details as to what configuration changes need to be done at OAM & OSB end.
    If not, is there any alternative approach to secure webservice with OAM.
    This webservice is not called from any web application. External sources dirctly make a call to this webservice through some java client.

    The solution to this issue is to put following line in mod_wl_ohs.conf file

    I need to make a Kerberos integration with OAM.

    "In an OAM Clustered environment, the OAM Principal for WNA must be the same on all tiers i.e. the load-balanced virtualhost for the OAM cluster.
    Therefore each OAM managed server will reference the same keytab file, generated for Principal HTTP/<virtualhost.domain>, and the keytab file will be in the same location on all OAM managed servers.
    For example: ${DOMAIN_HOME}/domains/${DOMAIN_NAME}/config/fmwconfig/oam/<keytab filename>.
    After copying the keytab file to the same directory on all OAM managed server machines, complete the configuration of the Kerberos authentication module in OAM Administration Console (/oamconsole).
    The AdminServer will ensure that the oam-config.xml file on all OAM managed server tiers in the cluster is updated with this configuration."
    The question is; When I generate oam.keytab with following command, What is the name of the server that I will must put in the command? Virtualhost (load-balanced), Node1 or Node2?
    ktpass -princ HTTP/<servername>@DOMAIN -pass XXXXXXX mapuser DOMAIN\user -out oam.keytab.

    Your Principal name should be the SSO LB URL.(ie :sso.mycomany.com)
    ktpass -princ HTTP/sso.mycomany.com@DOMAIN -pass XXXXXXX mapuser DOMAIN\user -out oam.keytab.
    Also make sure sso.mycomany.com has a reverse DNS configured correctly.
    you can check using dig command
    ping sso.mycomany.com
    What ever the ip-address
    dig -x <IP-ADDRESS>
    Check in the reverse DNS section there should be 1 record.

    1.1.1.1.in-addr.arpa. 3600 IN PTR sso.mycomany.com.

    My customer is using Webcenter 11.1.1.2.0 and they are primarily using Discussions and wiki .I would like to integrate OAM with Webcenter for providing SSO.
    Steps Followed:

    I have followed the steps mentioned in the section 23.7.1 and 23.7.1.7 in the doc

    Scenario after integrating with OAM:

    2.Click on Login button
    3.OAM Login page appears
    4.Provide credentials for orcladmin (admin user of OAM OID LDAP)
    5.Discussions default login screen appears ( I dont expect this default login page,as I have already authenticated with OAM)
    6.Provide orcladmin credentials
    7.Login screen is keep on popping and not able to login
    if i set owc_discussions.sso.mode=false,then looping (Step 7) is not occuring and could able to login.
    Am I doing anything wrong here? Or is there a way I can make it work.

    Hi everyone,
    okay. Im going to ask a noob question.
    i had done the Integration with the websphere and OAM. TAI and NetPointWASRegistry had already successfully loaded, tested and run.
    The pages are protected by the OAM cause i can see the basic webgate authenication prompt by the websphere when accessing the pages. but why cant i see the OBssoCookie? Is this a norm for a successful integration?
    From the HTTP header, i can only see the LTPA token, is this right? if not, where can it go wrong?

    We have a integration between PI and IBM Websphere MQ,normally we can able to do this with JMS adapter.
    But MQ Server side is using SSL and they will send us a certificate, so we need to communicate JMS and MQ queue and JMS does not support SSL directly.
    i have done some searches in sdn but i can't find a good guide or explained solve.
    i will be very appriciated for any help or idea about this issue.

  • Calling an Abap Web Service from IBM WebSphere with a MYSAPSSO2 Cookie

    I have the following problem :
    I have to develop a proof of concept between IBM Web Sphere 5.1 and SAP AS JAVA 7.0.
    I have created an IBM sevlet in Web Sphere, I use a specific redirect from an SAP AS Java to call it, this way I can have a SAP Logon Ticket, and I manage to call an ABAP module function with JCO with SSO.
    Scenario 1 : browser  + authentication --> AS Java redirect servlet MYSAPSSO2 cookie -> IBM WebSphere servlet JCO -> Abap module function (ECC5)
    This scenario works fine.
    I have to do the same scenario with a Web Service and I don't know what to do.
    I try to use jax-rpc handlers but I don't know how to pass my cookie from my servlet to my handler.
    Scenario 2 : browser + authentication --> AS Java redirect servlet MYSAPSSO2 cookie -> IBM WebSphere servlet JCO -> Abap Web Service (ECC5)
    Has someone already done that  ?

    Why are you using 5.1....go for 6.0 and its cake walk, i have integrated WebSphere 6.0 with R/3 uysing xi.....in a week.
    Scenario changed to:--
    Browser+ authentication --> WebSphere AS servlet request --> XI --> RFC/bapi --> abap webService

    Although a bit new to JDO, I have been trying to integrate Kodo 2.4 with
    Websphere 5.0 (using EJB 2.0).
    I have been basically binding a PersistenceManagerFactory into JNDI via
    start-up servlet, however got the exception bellow when I tried to create
    PersistenceManagerFactory (in setSessionContext of the EJB).
    <i>JDOFatalInternalException: Could not perform automatic lookup of EJB
    container's javax.transaction.TransactionManager implementation. Please ensure
    that you are running the application from within an <b>EJB 1.1</b> compliant
    EJB container, and then set the
    com.solarmetric.kodo.ee.ManagedRuntimeProperties property to the appropriate
    value to obtain the TransactionManager.</i>
    The reference to EJB 1.1 actually scared me a bit. Does this imply that
    Kodo (2.4) does not support J2EE 1.3?
    Would you know how to set the
    com.solarmetric.kodo.ee.ManagedRuntimeProperties to make it work with WSAD
    5.0?

    supported? Has anobody (that you know of) done it successfully yet?Yes, we do have reports of people using Kodo successfully from within
    Websphere. However, it should be noted that it is not as rigorously
    tested internally at SolarMetric as some other application servers (E.g.,
    JBoss and WebLogic). In short, integration is known to work, but it
    might be a little more rough around the edges than for other application
    servers (as shown in our misspelling of Websphere's TransactionManager
    implementation name).
    How do I tell Kodo to use existing Datasource managed by app server?You can have Kodo use a named DataSource by specifying the
    javax.jdo.option.ConnectionFactoryName property (see
    http://www.solarmetric.com/docs/2.4.0/docs/manual.html#javax.jdo.option.ConnectionFactoryName).
    This is often more appropriate for applications server usage, since it
    allows you to configure pooling and other information from within the
    application server's centralized configuration.

    javax.jdo.option.ConnectionURL=jdbc:db2:snetWhat kind of driver is COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver? The DB2

    They shouldn't behave differently (I am guessing that the app driver is
    a type 2 driver or something), but it might be worth a shot to try using
    the net driver. If this fixes the problem, please let us know, because
    it will indicate that Kodo has a deficiency with one of IBM's drivers
    that we should look into resolving.
    Since I have been trying to integrate with App server, this is the
    initialization code that I use to bind PersistenceManagerFactory to JNDI.
    You may find some funny stuff there.The binding code looks fine, and you are obviously able to retrive the
    PM and start persistence operations. Note that you should also be able
    to deploy Kodo as a Resource Adapter (which allows Kodo configuration
    through the centralized Websphere configuration interface). However, I
    doubt this is part of the issue.
    So, in short, I recommend trying the following things:
    1. Using the ConnectionFactoryName to use the DataSource defined for the
    appserver, on the off chance this will fix it.
    2. Using the net driver instead of the app driver.
    3. Seeing if it will work with javax.jdo.option.Optimistic set to false
    If none of these work, please let us know, and we will continue to
    investigate other possible solutions.

    As you suggested, the
    \\\'com.ibm.ejs.jts.jta.TransactionManagerFactory.getTransactionManager\\\'
    did the job (for others, please note that the proper package name should
    contain \\\'jts.jta\\\', not \\\'jts.jts\\\').
    Unfortunately, I got another problem. When running a method containing
    query (code bellow),
    I get SQLException complaining about \\\'Invalid transaction state\\\'.
    The method that executes the query is a stateless transactional Session
    bean.

    I am trying to integrate WebSphere MQ 5.3 with BEA WebLogic Server 9.2 3M. I have found the guide:

    As you can see weblogic complains about com.ibm.mq.jmqi.system.JmqiComponent, I googled JmqiComponent but dose not exists which is strange :P. Has anybody what is a reason for such a behaviour.

    I would ditch the foreign JMS approach. There is a detailed example of how to use the resource adapter for the same goal here:
    WebSphere MQ resource adapter  and Weblogic - how?
    While Oracle supports foreign JMS, IBM won't. The only pattern that both IBM and Oracle support is resource adapter.
    Let me know, if you need more guidance.
