ICal Subscriptions Stop Auto-Subscribing

I had subscribed to iCal Movie and DVD Releases, which have both stopped coming in. When I attempt to subscribe, message indicates I already have subscribed. In addition, I have also checked for software updates (current), and dragged iCal preferences to my desktop and restarted. Please advise. Thanks so much.

This one has me stumped. From what you have told me, everything is set up correctly and it SHOULD be working.
From my experience, MobileMe has a lot of issues with the new CalDAV support. I am personally dealing with MobileMe support right now. The link below is a thread I set up for them to reference.
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2109314&tstart=0
I recommend you contact MobileMe Chat support and see what they can do for you. Some recommendations:
1. The level 1 support is pretty weak and they are no more than glorified Customer Service Reps who instruct you to try solutions that are already posted on the internet. Be patient, and do as they say. They cannot elevate you to Level 2 until they have exhausted all of the solutions in their book.
2. When talking to chat, DO NOT discuss Google Calendar. This will only confuse them and they will default to "the problem is with Google; we don't support Google; contact Google for help." So, ensure in your problem you only discuss Apple products.
3. Discuss only one problem. I have found that the Level 1 support is incapable of handling multiple problems simultaneously, even if they are related.
4. Set aside at least an hour for the chat session. Ensure you back everything up before your call.
Good Luck!

    Hi,
From the calendar list on the left in Calendar select the calendar you don't want notifications from. Then press Cmd-I (get info) and in the panel that appears check the 'Ignore alerts' option.

  • TS1424 I had purchased a VIP subscription in starmakerstudios karaoke for a week. I don't know how to stop auto renewal. Even though I have deleted the app I am still being charged

Hey people please help me with my problem.
I purchased a VIP subscription for a week in starmakerstudios karaoke. I don't know how to stop auto renewal. Even though I have deleted the app, I'm still being charged $1.99 a week!
    Please help me out...

    Hi Gerald,
Well, you're not alone. The question is why is this happening? Since the referenced link shows the same type of problem with Yahoo finance, I suspect there is a coding problem on the site, specific to how Firefox is reading the code. Not being a programmer, I can't offer specific advice other than contacting either Firefox through their Community forum, or Yahoo Finance.

  • Ical subscriptions error message "Cannot Subscribe"

I have followed all the directions on adding ical subscriptions to iPhone (Yes running 3.0) and I keep getting the following error messages even though I have cut and pasted the ical url into an email.
    Cannot Subscribe
Could not subscribe to the calendar "lorenslocum" from "ical.mac.com"
Very perplexed....and any insight would be greatly appreciated!

In getting the answer to my removal question from a poster, I discovered another method to add subscribed calendars, one that includes authentication settings.
If you go to your Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > Accounts, click on the Add Account... option. Then select Other at the bottom. You'll next see a screen that includes Add Subscribed Calendar. Once you enter your subscribed calendar's address, the next screen will ask if you have any authentication information required.
Hopefully, this will allow you to get onto your calendar.

  • How do you "un-subscribe" to an ical subscription?

I'm looking to "unsubscribe" from a couple of ical subscriptions, is this possible? thanks.

If you click where it says "none", a text box will pop up for you to write in.

  • Subscriptions stopped working

My iCal subscriptions (holidays for few countries) stopped working. I deleted them and tried to re-subscribe and am getting error message:
    "Error subscribing to the calendar
Request to ical.mac.com failed after trying for 30 seconds"
Nothing wrong with my Internet connection, just can't subscribe to any calendars now.
The above error message pops up when trying to subscribe to calendars with mac.com addresses.
When trying to subscribe to other than mac.com addresses the error message for example says:
"Data downloaded from http://www.robsplanet.ca/files/CanadaHolidays06-10.ics is not valid."
    Any ideas?

    Andrew,
I'm not sure but it sounds like it might be the calendar you are trying to subscribe to might be down. Try the one found here: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/calendars/canadianholidaycalendar.html and tell me what happens.
hope this helps with your issue.

My daughter has used my iPad and downloaded app game. Now every week I get an automatic $2 taken out of my bank account from iTunes titled " automatic renewal"... How can I stop this from occurring or cancel this?

  • ICal Subscription Works On One Computer But Not The Other

I subscribed to a web based iCal subscription. The subscription refreshes on my Mac Mini but not on my desktop, which is connected to my iPhone. The iPhone therefore doesn't get the subscription contents either. I've tried deleting and resubscribing but nothing works.

    Hey Valenz0711,
That definitely sounds frustrating. There are a few different reasons it may not be working on the iMac (iTunes is not up-to-date, Firewall Settings). The following article may provide more information on a resolution:

  • Where are my ical subscriptions?

My ical subscriptions are not showing up on icloud.com.  I do have the subscriptions location marked to icloud.
    Thanks,

In fact, it looks as though when you sync subscribed calendars, what is pushed through to the other devices is not the actual contents of the calendars, but the subscription details: the other device then subscribes to the calendar itself - which from your point of view comes to the same thing. This means that the calendar contents are not actually on the iCloud server; and there may be something about the online calendar which prevents it being able to subscribe.

Are you sure that you are being billed through iTunes and not directly through Hulu ? There are instructions on this page for managing and stopping auto-renewing subscriptions : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4098

    If you're referring to subscriptions:

  • Auto-subscribe

There is an option in the Create Group form for selecting 'auto-subscribe'. If a group owner did not select that as yes when creating the group, is there a way the owner can go back in and select it afterwards? I have not seen how to do this, and would be great if it's possible so that each member does not have to do this individually!
    thanks,
    Marjie

    Marjie,
I will have a look at the app - I think I can add the Auto-subscribe button to the Group edit page - the link from the already created groups.
    There are a few caveats:
The autosubscribe only works if the group has a default Workspace that they actively use - the <Group> autosubscribe setting will only apply to the <Group>_Workspace.
Only users added after the flag was set will be subscribed - there is no retrospective auto-subscription option as there is a bug in the system that will cause multiple identical subscriptions for users to be created and it gets extremely messy to manage.
Subscriptions are an individual choice in the system - you cannot subscribe groups which makes the process unwieldy from a group management perspective.
