Icloud back up not working on ipad.

Icloud back up started giving problems when ios7 installed. Automatic back ups then recommenced but it hasn't backed up for 4 weeks (away on holiday for first 2 weeks. Ipad is connected to wifi, locked etc. most of the time but no automatic back ups are happening. Any ideas?

Maybe the backup is corrupted.
Turn off iCloud backup and try deleting the iCloud backup for the iPad.
iCloud: Remove an iOS device backup from iCloud - Support - Apple
Then turn it back on and try to backup.
You can also try removing your iCloud account from the device and then re-add it.
Note: This will cause you to lose everything but the last 30 days of photos in your My Photo Stream so take precautions.

Help Back camera not working on ipad 2 using ios 7.0.4

Hi my ipad 2 rear camera is not working. I'm using ios 7.0.4
The camera stops responding every time i switch to rear camera. The screen is all black with the control buttons.
I can not switch back to front camera. I already reset the settings and rebooted the unit.
The problem keeps on coming back.

Have you done a "hard" reset? (hold the home and power buttons down until the Apple logo appears).

i have checked all settings, and had both my iPad2 and iPhone 4S connected to power, and locked, but neither will back up to iCloud automatically.

I have just decided to update to the new(ish) IOS 6 and for some reason after installing the data it wanted to be connected to Itunes so I complied. after pluging it in it told be it needed to be restarted and I may lose data, however I had done this a long time ago and it was fine, so I continued and now I cannot restore from any of my cloud backups and I therfore have lost all contact data personal information that I needed to hand. is there a way of sorting this out or do I just have to put up with this deal breaker.

Good that you have your contacts back.Did you have your photos in iphoto also so you can redownload them. Also you can still get your apps back, albeit redownload each of them since your backup seemed to be misfired. You can connect to itunes, click on your phone, then click on store at the top and click view my account. Sign in and scroll down to purchases and click view all, you will see all the apps you have purchased under that apple id to redownload.

I have the same problem. I called Apple this morning, they told me that they restored "half" of the people affected last night and the next update will be 11 am EST. Very frustrating to say the least!

I can see the acknowledgement that this issue will be fixed in the 'next' software update. Considering the original post was for an iPad 2 running 5.0.1, I am not sure if this issue on iOS 5.1 which runs on my new iPad (4G) is considered fixed. As I reported in my previous post it is impossible to update individual tracks. I also tried adding entire collection to a single playlist, shuffling the playlist. While shuffle is in progress, turning to the 'list' view that allows tracks to be rated does who the currently shuffled playlist and the currently playing track and assigns the rating to the track correctly. However, as soon as the second track plays, switching to list view (which displays the ratings) lists only the tracks from the currently playing track's album. Which is insane IMHO.
So, was this not fixed with 5.1 update? Or the iOS 5.1 will get it's own piece of update on this?

From the Ipad manual - actually the same in Ipad, Ipod, Iphone --- the support site listed has frequently asked questions on Icloud drive.
Set up iCloud Drive
You can set up iCloud Drive using Setup Assistant when you install iOS 8, or you can set it up later in Settings. iCloud Drive is an upgrade to Documents & Data. When you upgrade to iCloud Drive, your documents are copied to iCloud Drive and become available on your devices using iCloud Drive. You won’t be able to access the documents stored in iCloud Drive on your other devices until they are also upgraded to iOS 8 or OS X Yosemite. For more information about upgrading to iCloud Drive, see support.apple.com/kb/HT6345.
Set up iCloud Drive. Go to Settings > iCloud > iCloud Drive, turn on iCloud Drive, then follow the onscreen instructions.

Here is the solution..(works with iPhone, iPod, iPad)
1) Please export all your contacts by signing on iCloud.com
1.1) Go to https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your Apple ID
1.2) Go to contacts and click on the settings icon on the bottom left of the page which is also called as the Show Actions menu. And then click on Export vCard.
1.3) Your file is saved on desktop or any location that you choose to save at.
2) On your device, go to the settings menu - General - Reset - Erase All Content and Settings
3) Allow the device to restore and turn into a new device.
4) Sign in with iCloud account on your device and turn on backup after you restore all the data you need on your device.
Try Backing it once you have completed all the above steps. iCloud backup works !!

I installed ios7 and now my icloud backup does not work. When I connect to iTunes i can back up my phone on my computer, but when I change the option to icloud it gives me an error message. Please help

I think that the card reader may in fact be defective, but it just doesn't make sense if I have already used it fine before. I've tried everything on this Apple support page, thank you though.

iwork is not working on ipad 3, it crashes when its opens, it dosent show my files on keynote, numbers and pages content, but i can access the same on my iphone 5 and icloud. even after update on ios 7 on the latest firmware, its still crashing on ipad 3, can you please help me.

Actually this doesn't explain everything.
I finally reinstalled Snow Leopard / iWork 09' and then upgraded to Yosemite and everything is working like a charm.
This issue has something to do with the use of the "Application migration tool" from Mac Os X Yosemite to collect old applications to the new os from another installation...
I solved my issue this way because I don't have very valuable applications that I want to transfert but for other users, this could be a real issue...
