Can't help -- on my iPhone, i've turned the toggle switch on in Setting>Music but it says I have not subscribed to iTunes Match and to go to iTunes on my computer and subscribe even though I have already. So, can't get iCloud to update music on my iPhone wirelessly.

What exactly is the problem?
The iTunes App on your iPad is a portal to the iTunes Store for music and videos. It needs a connection to the internet (either WiFi or cellular) to work.
To play music on your iPad, use the Music App. To play videos on your iPad, use the Videos App.

My Facebook application will not work. When you press it, it opens then closes.

So my Facebook app is not working. It was fine earlier today but then out if the blue it stopped working. When u press on the icon it will open then close immediately. How do I fix this? I tried to reset it and that did not help.

Try closing the FB app: double-click the home button, locate the FB app in the recently used list, press and hold the FB icon, tap the whit dash line in the red circle.
If that does not work delete the FB app and reload it.

I would need clarification on what you mean by not working to provide better assistance. However, try forcing all applications to close and power cycle the device. Once this is done test the Music App on your iPad.

If the icon is missing, this application is native to the iOS and are unable to be deleted. Since this is the case, it is are either in a folder on the iPad or Restrictions are enabled. Here is some information regarding these features. The information about folders is located on page 22 of the user guide below.

Every time i try to open the store it says it will not connect to the internet, even though i m conncted.
I've tried a million things and it still wont wrk. I dont ussually use the store but i just want Windows 8.1

Do we configure any proxy settings for Internet Connection? Did Windows Store work before?
Please first take a try with the
Apps troubleshooter, if this won't work, please follow the steps below to reset Windows store cache:
a) Press Windows key + X;
b) Select Search,
c) Type in WSReset.exe
d) Then right click on the Wsreset, select Run as administrator;
e) Restart the computer and check.

Mail opens for 2 secs then closes

this is my 3rd iPhone. i synced yesterday and suddenly i now can't access my emails. all my other apps are fine. but when i select the Mail button its says connecting for about 1 second then dumps me back to my home screen. I've never had a problem with my iphone before. i did another sync but still the same. My emails are getting through to my iPhone cos i can see them for a second but the screen won't stay open for me to select them.

Try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

Itunes not working as default media player for mp3's in firefox

In Firefox (and I tried Safari with same results), clicking a link that is supposed to play an mp3, itunes is not completing the operation. itunes is set as the default media player. The mp3 file is actually loaded into user.AppData.Local.Temp, but it is not imported into itunes (nor played). I can move the file to the desktop and then move into itunes. Trying to move from .Temp directly into itunes doesn't work. What am I missing???

I updated iTunes and now when I plug into my computer I get the message " thisiPad cannot be used because the required software is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes then install iTunes again."
But if I do that will I loose all my apps?

You may be loose your apps. However, you can re-download them for free using the same account you used the first time. When you do that it will say you already downloaded and ask if you want to download again. Your receipt will show $0.00.

So the app is opening to a white screen then closing on its own? If you have deleted your email accounts & the app is still crashing then I would try resetting all settings (without deleting data).
Did you reboot the iPad after removing the email accounts? If not, try that first holding the home & sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until the apple logo appears, then release & once booted back up, try opening the mail app again.
The problem may have started because one of your email messages might have been corrupt or had a corrupt attachment. If you can access it from a computer, sign into your email & see if there are any that can't be opened or produce errors opening. If so, delete the offending emails then try adding the account back to the iPad.

When I try to open the Mail app on my iPhone 4 nothing happens, it just stays grey for 30 seconds then closes.

I have already tried deleting my mail accounts twice. I have also reset it to factory settings.

Itunes not working when trying to sync ipad and iphone 4

Hello I have been having a number of issues with itunes not working. When I try to sync my ipad or iphone 4 itunes locks up does not see my devices connected I have to reboot 5 times before I can get them to be seen in itunes. Also when I am able to get itunes to see my ipad it will lock up at backing up ipad. I have removed everything apple and reinstalled and same issue. I am running windows vista 64 bit I don't remember having this problem until the new itunes came out and after I got my iphone 4. Any one have any ideas on how to fix this.

Work around for iTunes not working with shuttle

Well, I have found a work around for the iTunes not working the the Shuttle. It is not pretty, and many of you may not choose to follow my lead. This procedure has a lot of dumb steps in it, but in the end, one can copy data/songs to a Shuttle.
It involves removing the current iTunes and replacing it with a version that also had a bug in it.( I told you it ain't pretty).
Procedure:
1. Go to this url: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/ipod_itunes/itunes802forwindows.html
2. Download the old 8.0 version of iTunes for Windows.
3. Remove the current iTunes from your computer. Note after you run the remove utility in Windows, you need to delete the iTune library that isn't removed.
4. Install iTunes 8.0
Here is where it gets dumb.
This version of iTunes has a bug with the USB interface, but there is an easy work around.
5. Make sure the Shuttle is not connected when you launch iTunes.
6. After iTunes comeup, attach the Shuttle.
7. iTunes should see your Shuttle.
8. Select the music you want to upload, and drag it to the Shuttle.
9. iTunes will just sit there, so you need to get its attention. To get its attention you must disconnect and reconnect one of your USB devices, just not the Shuttle. Some folks do their mouse, one used a USB drive, and another on used is GPS because he was working from a laptop and did not have a mouse.
10. In a few moments, iTunes will do its thing and copy your data to the Shuttle. You must do this routine for each copy, so if you develop a Play List, you only have to do step 9 once.
The getting the old copy of iTunes was my idea, but a gentleman from a year ago figured out the mouse step.
I am now a happy camper, my Shuttle is full of music again.
However, I hope Apple finds a fix for the 8.2 problem soon.

I stand corrected on the name. By the time I figured out how to copy the songs I had a few other names in mind.
One of the first things I tried was the Reset utility. After the iTunes restore did not work, I went looking for something else. After using the utility, I connected the iPod and resynced. I had left the Autofill box checked. iTunes autofilled the iPod. I deleted those songs and tried to put a different play list in. It would not copy the songs, iTunes said there was no room even though the play list for the shuffle was empty. I looked at the settings screen and it said the iPod was full. I synced the iPod to my Mac, and that got rid of the "full" indication. That is when I started looking for an older version of iTunes, unfortunately all I could find is a version with the USB bug.
