When I try to update my ipad it says that my icloud is too full. I have an iphone and ipad. My daughter has an ipod touch. I have changed her icloud and itunes to her own account. Why is it saying I'm exceeding my free amount? Do I need separate icloud accounts for the ipad and iphone??

No, it should be no problem to use your iCloud account with several devices. Please check your storage capacity in Settings (Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage) and try to free up some space (old backups etc.). I hope this will help you.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone (if you're using iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

iCloud no longer syncs with devices. Error message reads "The certificate for this server is invalid. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be "setup.icloud.com" which could put your confidential information at risk." I am not positive if this issue coincides with the update to OS6.0.

Somehow your Apple ID/iCloud account has been used on multiple iOS devices and exceeded the maximum. We have no way of knowing which devices. We are users like you on this forum.

Make sure you don't have any notes that have no content or subject or this can prevent syncing with Outlook. If you do, delete them.
If you don't, try unchecking "Mail,Contacts,Calendars & Tasks with Outlook" on the iCloud control panel for Windows, choose Delete at the prompt (the data will still be in iCloud), restart your PC, then go back and check this setting again. (Your iCloud data will reappear in Outlook after a brief delay as it redownloads.)
Then create a new note on one of your iOS devices and see if it appears in the Notes folder in Outlook mail after a few minutes.

Not all of my recurring events sych via the iCloud with my Mac and IOS devices - most specifically my iPad2. For example, my anniversary appears on my Mac and my iPhone, but not on my iPad2.
I notice that when I click on "Calendars" when the iCal app is open in my iPhone I get 2 lists of calendars - one that is labled "On my iphone" and the other that is labled "iCloud". The same two lists appear in the iCal app on my Mac. But on my iPad2 the only list that appears is "iCloud".
Can anyone help with this issue?

Welcome to the Apple community.
Contacts aren't backed up and therefore aren't restored from a back up either. They are synced with the cloud, so after you have restored your device you should be able to sign back into your account and turn syncing back on again. If you need to check if your contacts are in the cloud, go to iCloud.com on a computer.

If you use the same Apple ID for iCloud on each device, yes. However, you can use the same Apple ID for iTunes content on each device, but different Apple ID's for iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, etc., on each device. Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you did a good job editing your Apple ID and primary email address, but you didn’t sign out of iCloud on your iOS device before hand. What you may need to do in this situation is go back to the Apple ID website and edit your Apple ID and primary email address back to the email address that is signed in with iCloud (there is no need to verify the account after editing it back to the old account, just changing it back is enough). Once your Apple ID is back to the original account, delete the iCloud account from the iOS device and be sure to keep all info on the device when prompted. After you delete the iCloud account, go back to the website and edit your Apple ID and primary email address back to the new address. Once it is back to the account you would like, you can sign into the iCloud on the iOS device with that new account and merge all of the data when prompted. Please use the following article as a reference.

Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.

Can't synch icloud with iPad or iPod

I have Outlook 2010 set up on Windows 7 using icloud. Outlook synchs to icloud with calendas, contacts, and email. My iPad and iPod touch no longer synch these items. I get a constant rotating whatsit, but no synch on either mobile device. Also, in the Settings section on iPad and iPod, I can not turn on or turn off the calendar, notes, or contacts. I get a pop up message that just sits there until I turn off the device. I can go to the icloud.com web site and "see" the updated calendars, contacts, etc. They are just no longer pushed to the mobile devices. I hope there is a solution for this problem. So far discussions about turning backup on or off on the devices has not had any positive effect. They just won't synch, and any adjustments in settings just locks up the OS. Thanks!
