Help please anyone! Where can I get a replacement wireless keyboard for my IdeaCentre A310 in the UK? Dog has eaten it!! Product number A310-K BT. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

any wireless keyboard should work, some of the newer ones might need a usb adapter but you will get that with the keyboard

Ideacentre A310 Windows 8 Freezing

Hello,
i have upgraded my Ideacentre A310 to Windows 8 and it is contantly freezing, I have installed the Windows 8 drivers for the sound and video card from the manufacturer.
Anyone got any ideas?

Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
If the IdeaCentre A310 freezes up after you upgraded to Windows 8, try to do the following:
1. Boot into Safe Mode with Networking - if the PC doesn't freezes up, there's probably an applilcation on the background that's causing the unit to freeze up on normal mode. To isolate this, you need to perform a clean boot.
2. If the PC still freezes up even on Safe Mode with Networking, there's probably a problem with the HDD. To verify this, try to use UltimateBootCD (www.ultimatebootcd.com) for the diagnostics. Details below:
a. Download the the UBCD ISO (www.ultimatebootcd.com)
b. Burn the ISO using imgburn
c. Insert the CD that you just created into the defective computer and reboot
d. Upon reboot, continuously press F12 and boot from the ODD/CD-DVD
To burn the diagnostic softwre on a flashdrive, follow this guide
Note:
If you find any errors, you will need to change the HDD. If don't have a recovery or restore disc, you can obtain one by contacting the Lenovo Technical Suport. Support phone list here.
3. Clean install Windows 8 into the machine (refer to this guide)

Keyboard for Ideacentre A310 and Ubuntu

Hi
The Ideacentre A310 comes with s wireless keyboard (A310-K BT Keyboard), but I cannot get it to work properly in Ubuntu 10.04.
The problem is, that it does not regognize key-combinations, so I cannot write in upper-case or use keyboard shortcuts. The Fn-key however seems so be working.
I've tried every keyboard-model in the keyboard-settings-menu I could think of. but none seems to change anything.
Anyone knows what the problem is?
This is written with a Logitech wireless USB keyboard that works perfectly - though it has become a bit nasty over the years.

i suggest asking the Ubuntu forums and check if they have any repositories with regards to getting the keyboard to work correctly.

Ideacentre A310 Screen is Blank

I have an A310 Ideacentre. Two nights ago it was working perfectly, then yesterday morning the screen is blank.
On the left the bluetooth, wifi and disk icons come on and off, plus I can access shared media on the PC from other devices on my network, so it obviously is working. On the right bottom of the screen however the lights that are usually there are absent. I regularly use an HDMI connection from my work supplied laptop to use the Ideacentre screen and I use the screen when using my PC for personal use obviously. 6 months ago I had to get a replacement screen fited.

IdeaCentre A310 - Supported CPU Upgrades

I have an A310 with an i5 450M CPU.
I'd like to upgrade it, what is the fastest processor that will work? I'm thinking the 560/580M, but would one of the quad i7's work at all?
Anybody successfully upgraded their CPU?

The graphics card in your machine is actually a chip that is incorporated on the motherboard.
It's not upgradeable.
Manufacturers use a lot of notebook components to keep the profile slim.

IdeaCentre A310: Screen's gone crazy

I've been using my A310 for 7 months without any problems but suddenly the screen's gone crazy. The touch controls (on the bottom right hand side of the screen) don't respond to touch any more, but the on-screen menu for managing the display keeps popping up and making random changes to the screen settings. I've downloaded and installed the video driver on the Lenovo support site but it doesn't help. Any suggestions?? It's making the machine entirely unusable (not least because it occasionally chooses to switch the display off for periods of up to an hour!!).
Any help or suggestions gratefully received, before I send it back under warranty.......

try uninstalling the video drivers, let Windows install its generic drivers and update the bios.
if these does not resolve it send it to the service center

IdeaCentre A310 - HDMI in with PC

Hello,
supports the A310 HDMI IN from PC or is the HDMI not compliant with PC output, f.e. 32bit colors?
My PC outputs a grafik stream with 1920x1080px and tehre is a 2 cm border on the display. It doesn't change when I change the resolution at my pc / HDMI IN.

I am running Windows 8, which came with the system. I decided to "Remove everything and reinstall Windows" and this is the specs that I see now. Windows 8, Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3210M CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHz, 6.00 GB RAM, 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor.
By chance I found out that if I force my screen to sit up right, by pushing the backbone of the screen backwards, the noise becomes smaller. I also now changed my refresh rate to 50Hz to make the noise a little bit lower in tone. I was hoping that this is fixable with an update with graphics card or with a lenovo diagnostic software, but I could not find anything online similar to it. The problem still exists, although now it is more acceptable. Still hope that it can be solved.

Ideacentre A310 adapter?

I got my a310 today, Its great, But when i tried to plug the adapter into the back of the system i noticed that it doesnt push in all the way, It has some silver sticking out, The system works fine though, Is anyone else's like this?

Is this the adapter for the tv input that you are talking about? If so can you let me know apart number or supplier for this as I don't recognise the TV input type on the back of my a310. I was going to post a new question about this, but saw your thread here

Need A310 LCD Cable

I need to replace the LCD cable on an IdeaCentre A310. I can't find one, and can't even find the part number. There is a hardware maintenance manual but has no part numbers: http://download.lenovo.com/express/hmm_idea_desktop.html. Is there any way I can find this cable? It seems to use the same connectors as many laptops, but I don't know if there is something that matches it.

Help Please need help with a motherboard

I have an Ideacentere A310 ALL IN ONE AND iM LOOKING TO MAYBE GET A REPLACEMENT MOTHERBOARD BECAUSE THE POWER SWITCH IS BROKEN. i HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO LOOK FOR ON COMPUTER PARTS WEBSITES IT IS WAY OVER MY HEAD. CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN TO ME IN VERY SIMPLE TERMS HOW TO FIND A REPLACEMENT MOTHERBOARD BECASUSE i have absolutely no clue. thank you

http://www.manualowl.com/m/Lenovo/IdeaCentre-A310/Manual/118029 shows the repair manual, but first why don't you describe what your unit is doing/not doing, there are several things that might be wrong other than your switch.
If the switch is physically broken then it can probably be replaced.
More info might help someone help you.

Setting Pre-Boot time out

I own a marvellous Ideacentre A310 which shows me a pre-boot blackscreen with LENOVO logo for 30 seconds. Anyone has an idea where to touch in order to set the time to less seconds.

The "pre-boot screen" is there while your programs-start iems start loading. My A310 loads to desktop ready in 25 seconds.
I have an SSD hard drive and only four items loading at start up. I'm running Windows 7 64bit and my A310 is over a year old.
As far as I know, there is no changes to be made for the splash screen. I will go to Bios and set it to default/optimal performance. Disable lan boot agent, unless you need it.
You also can go to MSCONFIG, and go to selective start up and disable items no necessary at startup. Lenovo screen saver, Adobe among others, are thing no needed at start up.
If items that you've disabled cause you any problems, you can always re-enable them. One more thing you can try to test, is start in diagnostic start up, and see what your boot times are.
Let us know if you make any progress.

A310 4073-2EU

I'm very interested in purchasing the A310 IdeaCentre (4073-2EU) . I know it comes with 4GB ram (2x2GB) intstalled. It says that it will take a max of 8GB ram, however, when I 've searched for RAM upgrades on some well known RAM upgrade sites...they don't seem to have any ram for this model. Has anyone looked into this yet? Maybe its too new yet?
4GB is more than enough right now, I just want to make sure it actually can take 8GB ram if needed in the future.

All-In-One IdeaCentre C440, high pitch sound

I have a problem with my Desktop PC All-In-One Lenovo IdeaCentre C440, machine type: 10104, configuration number: 57322047. I bought this computer last week ago and from the beginning is present a high pitch sound. The high pitch sound is more evident when I don't use the PC (on Windows desktop for example or when I navigate on the Internet). I noticed that this high pitch sound disappear if I play a game (I set the sound off to confirm this) and come back in desktop Windows mode. I noticed also that this high pitch sound is lower or disappear if I copy (transfer) large files on my home network from one computer to another.
Is a solution for this situation ? Thank you.

Yesterday I've been with my computer to a service nearby. The guy from there told me that he doesn't have what to do and that probably in time the sound will just become worst and worst.
