Identifying Multiple Rotes out of a User Service in LC ES
Hi
I'm not sure if this is a WorkSpace or WorkBench issue so please advise if in wrong forum.
We have created a number of LC ES processes that require 2 'routes' out of the user service at a number of stages in the process.
These routes are typically to 'Approve' or 'Reject' the form where if the form is rejected it goes back to the initiator, or previouse user, if it is approve it goes to the next person in the process - think expense claim, holiday request, etc.
This works in LC ES Process management as it displays 2 buttons - one to approve one to reject, on the Flex Wrapper.
However depending on which 'route' the user selects we need to verify different elements of the form - e.g if thet approve they must sign the form, but of they reject they don't need to, also if approved we need to allow the user to select the next recipient before the form is submitted.
In LC7 this could be done by trapping the AWS_CHOICE option selected under the AWS_SUBMIT button click event or the preSubmit event of the FSUBMIT_ button - however we can find no way to do this in LC ES.
Does anyone know if there is a way to trap the button clicked at the form level in LC ES ?
Stuart Mail. xDox.
Many thanks to you both for the very quick and helpful responses.
We have found a kludge solution by putting a check box on the form to to indicate if they wish to approve or reject (similar to drop down idea) and use the hidden button concept Jasmin describes to validate data accordingly.
However if you do this the two Approve / Reject buttons still show on the wrapper and if the user then clicks the wrong one the workflow routing is then of course wrong for the validations and pre-submit actions that have been done at the form level - and there is no way for us to trap for this error as we can't tell which button was clicked of course :-(
If we only have one 'route' out of the user, and hide the wrapper button, and then have a Decision Point after the user to decide the route of some item in the XPath data e.g. the check box value or AWS_Action, then the Audit Trail (Tracking) does not show if the user approved or rejected the form - which makes the tracking pretty useless for the users :-(
Just an thought / question - if we hide both Wrapper Buttons, then set AWS_Action to say the same value as one of the hidden wrapper buttons, would the AWS_Action selection / value then decide which of the hidden wrapper buttons get activated (e.g. clicked) ?
Failing this does anyone know when the next release is expected and if it will include the enhancement to be able to do this ?

How to find out what computers user logged on? (not at the moment but history)
Domain Controller: Windows 2012 R2 - Unfortunately, I don't manage DC but my own OU (computers and users)
I have a user working mid-night shift reporting that he received error message "The group policy client service fail the logon, access denied". He is using multiple PC and he did not remember which PC gave him the error message. How do I find out
which computers he logged on? I have access to my domain OU. I can manage my own Computers and Users objects in my domain (no domain controller in my department)
I searched internet but most of them are finding out which computer user is currently logging on - not the history, thanks.
Thang MoTo fix this error, please follow the steps given below and check if it helps you to resolve the issue :
1. Logon to the machine with a machine administrator account (assuming this issue is with a domain account, if not logon to the machine using another account with administrative privilege).
2. Move the machine to a work-group from domain. (If it was part of one work-group then change it to another one or join a domain.) You could do this through Control Panel\System and Security\System and then Change Settings.
3. Restart the machine and logon with a machine administrator account.
4. Delete your user profile data (or move it a different location) completely from c:\users. "C" in my case is system directory but if you have a different one then use that one.
5. Join the machine back to domain account (or to work-group that the machine was originally joined to), and restart the machine.
6. Logon with your domain account that you were having trouble with. Keep fingers crossed.
If all goes well, you should be logged on.
Coming to the second query, if the user are in DC, you can try our free tool
Lepide last logon reporter that will help you to get the logon details by specifying Domain Name/IP of the Domain Controller, User Name, Common Name and Last Logon Time.

WindowServer keeps crashing, which logs me out of all user accounts
As the title says, WindowServer keeps crashing, which logs me out of all user accounts and drops me into the account login screen. See attached for a Console screenshot that demonstrates the issue. Anyone else having a similar problem, or know of a potential solution?
I searched Bing for variations on "WindowServer keeps crashing os x yosemite" and couldn't find anything immediately relevant, so I'm trying here instead.
I'm running a Retina iMac on 10.10.1, and I have an older second monitor in the form of a Dell 2311H 23" display.Here's the latest one; I can post them all if you're curious:

Would like to check if there is any multiple skype out service (i.e. allowing different users to call out simultaneously under the same account) and if yes, the corresponding rate. Thanks a lot.

May I have multiple Skype tele numbers? Some of my clients wish me to answer the phone for them I am thinking of using skype phone is this possible and do I need to have a business account to do this?
Yes, you can have multiple Skype Online Numbers on a single account. I think the limit is 10 Online Numbers. I have 4 (one each in the USA, Mexico, England, and Australia). All ring into my Skype account, and - depending on where the calls are coming from - I will receive Caller ID information for those incoming calls.

Problem with user services (creating a service for mpdas)
Hi, I'm using mpd and using a user service to start it.
However, I'm trying to create a service for mpdas (a mpd client for last.fm) and getting some errors:
currently, my mpdas.service is as following:
[Unit]
Description=AudoScrobbler client for MPD
After=mpd.service
[Service]
ExecStart=/usr/bin/mpdas
[Install]
WantedBy=default.target
Which giving me the following errors:
(14:49:55) [ERROR] You are not root. Not changing user ..
(14:49:55) [INFO] Connected to MPD.
(14:49:56) [INFO] Last.fm handshake successful. SessionID: ...
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::ios_base::failure'
what(): basic_filebuf::underflow error reading the file
Aborted
Which are the same errors I get if I run just "mpdas" instead of running it with sudo.
If I use it as a root service (instead of a user service) it fails on startup, but works fine when I restart the server.
So, I'm assuming:
1) mpdas needs root permission
2) if used as a root service, it fails at startup cause the mpd service (enabled as a user service) hasn't started yet
3) if used as a user service, it fails cause it needs root permission
What's the 'correct' way to solve this? (I believe mpdas should be a user service, cause it runs with a config that is just for my user).
Is there a way to make a user service run with root privileges?
I couldn't figure out the best way to configure it.
Last edited by alv-r- (2014-11-29 18:37:56)TheSaint wrote:Why should it fails with sudo?
It works only with sudo. It was failing as a system service because it needs mpd, which I configured as an user service. Then when systemd starts the system services (when booting) there's not mpd instance running and it fails.
TheSaint wrote:Doesn't it works with fakeroot ?
As a noob, I don't know exactly how fakeroot works, I'll take a better look at it, but running it with fakeroot takes rid of the errors I was getting when not running as sudo.
The problem I have now is that it still fails on startup, but there isn't any helpful (or unhelpful) message. It just shows the PID and says it failed.
If I run
systemctl --user start mpdas
it works well though. Any ideas of why this happens?
My current unit file looks like this:
[Unit]
Description=AudoScrobbler client for MPD
After=mpd.service
Requires=mpd.service
[Service]
ExecStart=/usr/bin/fakeroot /usr/bin/mpdas
[Install]
WantedBy=default.target
Raynman wrote:Why does it need root privileges? Maybe you just need to configure it properly to run under your normal user?
Seeing the options in the man page and the config options for the config file, I don't see any that could do the trick.
I'll send a message to the developer with the error I'm getting (when not running as sudo).

How to find out if a user is logged into a windows XP or VISTA machine
Hi,
Could somebody please tell me how to find out remotely over a LAN, whether a user is logged into a computer that is running windows XP/VISTA or not? How can this be programmatically done if we know the name of the remote machine?
Thanks.
RavisaraHi,
Thanks for all the replies.
Actually it seems that my question has either been misunderstood or has been badly phrased by me.
What I want to know precisely is the way to find out if a user is logged into a machine or not. Say for example in a LAN there are three computers called A, B and C. If my Java program is running on machine C, how can the program check whether a user is logged into machine A? Assuming JRE is present in all three machines, the machines have as their OS windows XP or VISTA and all machines are connected to a windows domain(Windows 2003 server based network)
The idea here is to identify all the computers in a network that users are not logged into and then to remotely shutdown those computers in order to minimize wastage of electricity(preferably after a particular time of the day in an organization).
Any replies would be much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Ravisara -

I have seen several posts with this error that say to create the "ConfigMgr Remote Control Users" group.
Here is an example. We have created this group locally AND on the domain, but we still see this failure on about 10% of clients that we target. Any other ideas what might be creating this issue?
Thanks,
FPAfter a restart in the task sequence (not the same restart every time) the ccmexec process doesn´t seem to want to start again. The problem is intermittent and does not occure on every installation, though quite frequently.
In the smsts.log you get "waiting for the ccmexec process to start" and "Waiting for CcmExec service to be fully operational", eventually it times out and the installation fails. If we start a command prompt and start the service manually
the installation continues though.
The strange thing is, this only seems to happen on a specific computer model. We have tried updating BIOS and drivers to the latest version, but no success.

Grey out out ESLL=TBTWR in Service purchase order
Hi I need to grey out out ESLL=TBTWR in Service purchase order when the status is released 'S'?
I Tried Include LV69AFZZ - form userfield modification -it works for conditions tab but not for service tab.
I need to grey out only for released PO , others cases allow user to edit.
Kindly Suggest.everything there in snap,
Go to function group MLSP,
Screen 0400->PBO Module MODIFY_SCREEN_ROW ->PERFORM MODIFY_SCREEN_ROW
->PERFORM FELDAUSWAHL.
Here you have to do Implicit enhancement.
Remember to add, If sy-tcode = 'ME22N'. -
[SOLVED] Getting my systemd user service to talk to dbus
I'm currently trying to set up a nice email workflow with mbsync, msmtp and notmuch.
My passwords are saved in the Gnome keyring "login", and I've configured mbsync to use secret-tool to retrieve them. Unfortunately when secret-tool is invoked from this systemd user service there is an error when it in turn tries to call dbus-launch.
Here is the error:
$ systemctl --user status -l mbsync.service
● mbsync.service - Synchronise IMAP folders
Loaded: loaded (/home/leo/.config/systemd/user/mbsync.service; static; vendor preset: enabled)

Any ideas how I can use secret-tool from within a systemd user service? The Wiki includes some information about DBus and systemd here but it looks a little outdated...

Do I need Open Directory for multiple email addresses for Calendar users?
Hey all,
I have a single mac mini which I use simply as a calendar server for +/- 20 users. One day I might use Profile Manager to manage their iOS devices too. On the initial installation, we enabled Open Directory, although I'm not sure that it's required, and we have no plans re using it to manage network logins etc aside from existing calendaring.
I'm working through a migration from a Lion Server.app install to Mavericks, and due to some data corruption issues, we'll probably just rebuild the server and reimport the users calendars.
On my existing Lion Server installation, I can still use workgroup manager to assign multiple email addresses to calendar users, so that when a user invites another user to a calendar event using any of their email addresses (we have several variations), the invitation still gets pushed to the correct calendar user.
On Mavericks, without installing Open Directory, it seems I can't do this (I've downloaded Workgroup Manager for Mavericks, but it obviously can't connect to a local open directory). If Open Directory is optional, I'd rather not install it, to avoid overhead and complexity, but I still need a way to manage these multiple email addresses (aliases doesn't cut it).
Any ideas / suggestions?
Thanks,
DFor Calendar server to send actual email invitations to an attendee, two things must happen:
First, you need to configure Server.app > Calendar > Enable invitations by email. Enabling that will bring up a wizard dialog that will step you through the IMAP and SMTP account settings. The default values in that wizard will tell Calendar server to use the local Mail server (which you then would have to configure to use the appropriate SMTP relay, etc.). Or you can change the wizard settings to refer to an external IMAP and SMTP server. It is wise to use a dedicated IMAP account for Calendar server's use -- don't go using someone's personal IMAP account because there might be some "undesirable interactions", let's say. If you need help configuring this for, say, a Gmail account, I can help with that.
Second, the email address for the attendee must *not* be known to Calendar server, i.e. it should *not* be in the Directory. As you probably found out, if Calendar server sees that the attendee has an email address that is in the Directory, the attendee is considered to be "local" and the invitation will be delivered directly to the attendee's calendar client. If you simply leave those other email variations out of the Directory, Calendar server will consider that attendee "remote" and will send an actual email with a special attachment that calendar clients can understand.
Hope that helps. -
Identifying Multiple printers with unique name?
I support an office staff of 40 users that share 15 Officejet 100 L411a printers. When users connect a printer by USB, the computer will create a new printer with the default name "HP Officejet 100 Mobile L411" printer if that printer hasn't connected to that computer before. If the printer has been connected before, a new printer is not created.
Many users have multiple copies of printers all with the same printer name "HP Officejet 100 Mobile L411". The printer that is connected is highlighted; all other printers are grayed out.
My users want to know which printers they've checked out before when they pick up a printer. The users can rename the printers manually but most don't want to do that. I can rename them for the users, but that's a lot of users and a lot of printers. Either way, the next time they get a printer they haven't used before they'll get the default name.
I'd like to know if there is a way to set the printer's firmware to create a unique name when the printer is created by using the serial number or another designation I could enter.
For example, I'd like to have "HP Officejet 100 #MY1555AAQQ" or "HP OfficeJet 100 Purple #12" show up as the printer name. Is there any way to do that?Our requirement is...
Yep, had this requirement as well.
All these various user name collisions and worse is different IDs for the same person can be solved relatively easily by IdM.
But best practice is still to remove the collisions and use unique IDs. Same goes for deleting users (dont do it).
Good luck.
Cheers,

Subject: (forte-users) Service Object
Hi,
We have a class X which we would like to use it for service object andalso
to instantiate it locally to call some methods. We would like to have
system agents for the service object, but not for objects instantiated
locally. In other words, if the object is used for service object, only
then we want the agents (customized) to be initialized. How do we find out
whether it is service object in Init method self? Service objectproperties
(like isAnchored) or attributes (given from ServiceObject
properties/initial values window) are set only at the end of init method.
One workaround we could think of is start a task at the end of init method
and also delay the execution of method. Is there any clean way of doing
this?
Thanks in advance,
Ramarao

Identifying the Enter pressed by the user in the Inputfield
Hi all,
We have one Comment field on Portal screen that is given by the user (User may press enter while giving the comments). We are sending that field value to R3 through RFC and when we are getting back that comment field value from R3 we need to identify the Enter pressed by the user. We are writing the code for identifying "/n" in that comments field but that is not working. Can anyone help me out in this? This is really urgent.
Thanxs in advance!!!Hi Gurmat and Manoj,
Do you want to replace the TextEdit too? I thought only to print or send to backend. No problems. We can do change in TextEdit as well.
My input in TextEdit is:
How
are
you
Manoj?
After button click I got output in TextEdit and TextView(I used button to trigger event):
How are you Manoj?
In onActionButton() my code is:
StringBuffer buffer = new StringBuffer(wdContext.currentContextElement().getText());
for (int i = 0,index=buffer.indexOf("\n"); i < buffer.length(); i++) {
if(i==index){
buffer.replace(i-1, i+1," ");
index = buffer.indexOf("\n");
if (index==-1)
break;
In StringBuffer use "" only

Clarity needed in SE30 For User/Service option
Hi Experts,
What is the use of "For User/Service" push button in SE30.
I am able to create an entry for a particular user and transaction.
But what will it do?
How can I take the trace list?
How does it differs from usual way of taking trace list?
Thanks and regards,
Venkat.Hi Venkat,
with this option you can schedule a trace.
Check out section 4 in Olga's blog:
4. How to trace HTTP/RFC requests or processes of other users?
/people/olga.dolinskaja/blog/2009/12/11/abap-runtime-analysis-se30--how-to-analyze-abap-program-flow
The use case is to capture a request e.g. an incomming rfc or http request.
But it works fo batch and dialog reuqests as well. You can apply filters.
With this otion it is as well possible to schedule a trace for a background job for example
before you leave the office and analyze it the next day when you come to the office
again. Of course all settings and limits of SE30 / SAT (file size, trace time, ...).
The same scenario is used by ST12 with the tasks / http option:
/people/hermann.gahm/blog/2010/03/22/st12-150-tracing-user-requests-tasks-http
If you use SE30 make sure to schedule the trace on all servers where the request
you want to trace may run.
Kind regards,
Hermann -
How does one find out the database name , service name in a database
hi,
how do u find out the database name , service name , SID in a database.
Please reply.
Thanks ,
Regards,
RCThis particular information is available in the view V_$PARAMETER owned by SYS. But you can also login with Server Manager as user INTERNAL and run:
SHOW PARAMETERS
The entries pertaining to the naming of the database are:
1. db_name
2. db_domain
3. db_name
4. instance_name
5. service_names
GLOBAL_NAME is a static (not changing) Data Dictionary view which has just 1 attribute (column) called GLOBAL_NAME.
When you run:
select GLOBAL_NAME from GLOBAL_NAME;
You are returned the full global name of the database, i.e. the db_name and the db_domain joined together by dot (.) For e.g. if your db_name = mgmt and db_domain = tech.co.in, then your global_name will be MGMT.TECH.CO.IN.
Ciao.
