IdentitySSOAuthFilter error with "uwc-msg-web-amsdk" in a Sol 10 zone

I have installed the 2005Q1 JES components (messaging, calendar, Access Manager, LDAP, Web, and UWC with SSO) in a single Solaris 10 zone without any issues. All works fine. I'm having an UWC/Web error in the next step of the process when I'm installing these applications into seperate zones (seperating as much as possible). I have created an LDAP zone with Access Manager as well as few other zones. These all appear to be working fine. The problem is with the "Messaging, Web, and Access Manager SDK" zone. I get the following SSOAuthFilter error during the web server startup after I configured UWC. Anyone have any ideas what the IdentitySSOAuthFilter error is referring to?

Thanks for the reply Jay. I got it working the other day so here's an FYI on what I was doing wrong.
1. Don't rely on the "Configure Now" when installing the "Access Manager SDK" (i.e., you must do the manual "amconfig -s <filename>"
2. When using the above "amconfig" I needed to specify the "SDK with Container" option and NOT the "SDK only" option.
My two cents. :)

    There is a very useful feature in WebI that performs exactly what you are trying to do, but with only three clicks required.
    Once your report output is obtained and you are in the "Edit Report" mode, highlight the column of numbers (Col 1) in your case (remember, highlight the data and not the column title).  Next click on the drop down menu selector for the "sum" function on your toolbar (the sigma symbol).  Lastly, click on the option "Percentage" and voila you have your percentage of each of the dimensions based on the total of the column.  In my humble opion, I believe that "Percentage" is mislabeled and should be called "Percentage of" because that is exactly what the option is performing, a percentage of the total for the selected column.  If you are familiar of doing this operation in Excel, you do something like: (in cell C1 you would type: =b1/$b$11 in cell C2 you would type: =b2/$b$11, etc, etc.  I think the three button click for Percentage is much easier to work with, hopefully this will work for you as well.
    God Bless!

    Hi,
    I think the WSDL file shared with you and the soap message you are getting are a mismatch.
    Try to check the soap message xml format and see if matches the ouputs tags structure in WSDL file.

  • Error: "Cannot access the web server" with BlazeDS Turnkey

    Help! I'm new to Flex and BlazeDS and Eclipse.  I was trying to setup a Flex Project using a BlazeDS/Tomcat server running from Eclipse on Windows XP per the example in flexbandit.com/archives/55#comment-269 and in (www.infoq.com/articles/blazeds-intro).   I am NOT using the Eclipse Flex plug-in.  I'm using Flex Builder for the Flex code.
    Here's what I've done:
    I installed BlazeDS and tested http://localhost:8400 - That worked.
    I setup Tomcat in Eclipse.  -  That seemed to work.
    I created a Dynamic Web Project in Eclipse - That seemed to work.
    I created the bare-bones BlazeDS Configuration under the Eclipse project and then created a basic HelloWorld java class.
    I added the destination in the “remoting-config.xml” file found in the c:/projects/workspace/ReportGenTool/WebContent/WEB-INF/flex” directory:
    <destination id="HelloWorld">   <properties>  <source>HelloWorld</source> </properties> </destination>
    When I started the application server by clicking on the server's green play button in Eclipse and then tried to open localhost:8400/ReportGenTool, I got the 404 error : The requested source (/ReportGenTool/) is not available which according to the instructions is fine.
    Next I created a Flex Project, but when I try to validate the new Flex project configuration, it gives me an error "Cannot access the web server. The server may not be running, or the web root folder or root URL may be invalid."
    When I validated the server was running after setting up the BlazeDs Turnkey, I saw the BlazeDS page.
    Now when I bring up http://localhost:8400 I get:
          Directory Listing for /
          Apache Tomcat/6.0.14
    My eclipse project is named ReportGenTool and I've overwritten the WebContent directory with the META-INF and WEB-INF directories from the BlazeDS installation (C:\blazeds\tomcat\webapps\blazeds).  According to Eclipse the server is running.
    My Flex project is named ReportGenTool and is located in another directory away from the Eclipse project directory.
         My root folder is: C:\Projects\workspace\ReportGenTool\WebContent
         Root URL: is http://localhost:8400/ReportGenTool/
         Context root is: /ReportGenTool/
    Any idea what might be wrong? What didn't I configure that needs to be configured?
    Thanks in advance.

    This is not working because your router has a direct to your web server that is not through the outside interface which is needed for nat to occur, for this to work you need to setup a loopback interface as nat outside and policy route traffic to there for your server traffic
    Bu if your server is internal why do you need nat at all? Can you not use bind with views that might be simpler

    Single Sign On is optional.
    What would happen is that the user that's using the Web Application Designer will have to have access to Portals, and the portal Sign On screen will appear once that user executes a Web Template.
    It also depends on the Portal Strategy and the Security Strategy of your client. For example, the portal may only grant access to those used IDs in the Active Directory, so if your BEx WAD user is not defined in Active Directory that user will not have access to portals, and will not be able to execute the Web Template.
    Cheers.

  • Javascript error in uwc (reply, forward buttons)

    Our users have reported an "annoying" repeatable error which occurs at least once per session using UWC web-client.
    When they log in to UWC, read a message and click the buttons named Reply, Reply All, Forward, Forward Inline, an alert pops up:
    "JavaScript Error
    http://mail.domain.ru/uwc/webmail/en/mail.html?lang=en&laurel=on&cal=1, Line=384"
    'null' is null or not an object"
    When they click the button for a second time and afterwards, the requested action (Forward, etc.) works correctly. If the user logs off and logs in again, the first subsequent click triggers the error.
    I have seen this in MS Internet Explorer 6.0 SP2 on several computers, both with original English Windows and localized version.
    I couldn't reproduce the error with MSIE 6.0 SP1 or Firefox browsers.

However this didn't allow the pop-up to occur, it just stopped the javascript error.

  • UWC/CE web interface adds encoding string to user names

    I found a strange issue which only concerns the UWC/CE web-interface. It is not a serious bug (i.e. doesn't happen in thick mail-clients), but a weird one anyway:
    I have a new message in my inbox here, it is so new that the sender name is written in bold (i.e. Original Sender).
    When I click the message to read it and then return to the list of messages, the sender field often looks like:
    =?iso-8859-5?Q?Original_Sender...
    If I select the whole line in browser and copy it, I get this in the clipboard:
    =?iso-8859-5?Q?Original_Sender_=3Cbsender123=40yandex=2Eru=3E=0D?= =?iso-8859-5?B?ClRvOiBhZG1pbkBjb3MucnUNClN1YmplY3Q6ID0/S09JOC1SP0I/enNY?= =?iso-8859-5?Q?UIMTP09TV0MEgyyDQz97UxSA=3D=3F=3D=0D=0AMessage-id=3A_=3C?= =?iso-8859-5?Q?142101216788971=40webmail81=2Eyandex=2Eru=3E=0D=0ADate=3A?= =?iso-8859-5?Q?_Wed=2C_23_Jul_2008_08=3A56=3A11_+0400=0D=0AX-Mailer=3A_?= =?iso-8859-5?B?WWFtYWlsIFsgaHR0cDovL3lhbmRleC5ydSBdIDUuMA0KWC1HcmV5bGlz?= =?iso-8859-5?Q?t=3A_Sender_DNS_name_whitelisted=2C=0D=0A_not_delayed_by?= =?iso-8859-5?B?IG1pbHRlci1ncmV5bGlzdC00LjAgKGRhby5jb3MucnUgWzE5NC42Ny4x?= =?iso-8859-5?B?ODYuMTAwXSk7IFdlZCwNCiAyMyBKdWwgMjAwOCAwODo1OTozNSArMDQw?= =?iso-8859-5?B?MCAoTVNEKQ0KDQq03tHg69kg1NXd7CENCr3V4iDU3uHi49/QINog397n?= =?iso-8859-5?B?4t7S3tzjIO/p2NrjIGluZ2EuYm9yb2RpbmFAY29zLnJ1LiC/3u/S2+/V?= =?iso-8859-5?B?4uHvIOHe3tHp1d3Y1SAtIL3VINLV4N3r2SDb3tPY3SDY29gg39Dg3tvs?= =?iso-8859-5?B?LiC60Nog0t7h4eLQ3d7S2OLsINTe4eLj3yDaINze1dkg397n4tU/DQrB?= =?iso-8859-5?B?IOPS0NbV3djV3CwNCrjd09Agsd7g3tTY3dAuDQoNCg0KDQoNCg==?= Message subject text
    Since this doen't happen with every message, it may depend on some encoding header fields (even though this message has everything in English, the sending server located in Russia could have forced some fields). However this is not alway seen even with messages whose sender and subject are spelled in Russian.
    "Good" messages only have their visible text when the line is selected to a clipboard, no cryptic headers.
    I did not find these header fields in HTML source (but perhaps MSIE is hiding something).
    I've read that some components use XSL, possibly even on the client-side (i.e. calendar web server), could this be a reason?
    Another possibility is that many servers send 8-bit headers (subjects, names, etc.) and to remedy that I've added such lines to msg.conf:
    local.rfc822header.allow8bit = yes
    local.rfc822header.fixcharset = KOI8-R
    local.rfc822header.fixlang = ru
    Can these cause this situation in the UWC client?
    I am not certain which charset should be entered - KOI8-R is perhaps the most popular (and probable) encoding to be seen by default, but that's a wild guess for any message.
    Is it possible to filter such 8-bit-header messages to a program which can more correctly guess an encoding, or use other headers (i.e. content-encoding) as a more probable value than the one I have hard-coded?

    => problems with the original encoding of the email
    => problems with the browser interpreting the text
    => problems with messaging server (mshttpd)
    => problems with UWC/CE

    local.rfc822header.fixcharset = KOI8-R
    local.rfc822header.fixlang = ru

    I am not certain which charset should be entered - KOI8-R is perhaps the most popular (and probable) encoding to be seen by default, but that's a wild guess for any message.If you look at the original source email, does it contain 8 bit characters in the email headers or are they encoded?
    Is it possible to filter such 8-bit-header messages to a program which can more correctly guess an encoding, or use other headers (i.e. content-encoding) as a more probable value than the one I have hard-coded?What is possible/necessary is something that should be investigated after working out the root cause of the problem.

  • Calendar failed with UWC

    After getting Date Outside Bonds error I reinstall my SJES 2005Q4 system and applied following patches before configuring anyhting.
    118209-58
    118247-05
    118542-40
    118788-16
    118791-18
    Now calendar working itself when I hit it directly on its port (3080) but with SSO (uwc) it not working and giving application is misconfigured. Is it known issue with these patches or I am wrong somewhere. Without these patches it was running fine except Date Outside Bonds error

    First I double check my configuration related to Cmmunication Express and before it I insall latest patches for each service. Then delete the uwc containor from web server and restart web server before and after deleting it.
    Then I run /opt/sun/uwc/sbin/config-uwc and reconfigure it. Before delteting the uwc containor it was hanging while redeploying uwc in web server. Then again restart the web server :)
    And make sure you have clear the ClassCache and such things in right way.

  • UWC -- 2005Q4, web instance pegs CPU

    Hello --
    arrived at office today to see recently upgraded web instance running latest UWC -- 2005Q4 (118540-21) fully pegged CPU (load ave in 5-6 range).
    Nice thing: the web instance did respond to stop (ie. not hung).
    The restart of web instance went fine -- and now UWC working as expected.
    We've been running JES 2005Q4 for awhile now (upgrade more than month ago). Many users grumbling with various end-user issues with UWC -- various bugs. small little usage/behavior issues that are a pain when working in airport or Kinkos, etc.
    With this most recent CPU peg issue: curious how many tech-support only builds have been released since      118540-21??
    Note -- current upgrade 2005Q4 platform on solaris 9 with recent patches (per patch mgr 2.0). all shared patches applied. Directory, admin, calendar, mail, web, ID, and UWC all upgraded successfully.
    Any insight would be appreciated. -GA

    Hey Jay --
    Just went rounds with Sun inside sales -- attempting to license JES CommSuite in order to get support (and access to the tech-support only patches).
    Essentially, no dice. As company with less than ten users, I can't justify spending min of $5,000 year just for licensing -- in order to get support.
    Please check following thread:
    http://supportforum.sun.com/sjes/index.php?t=msg&th=742&start=0&rid=17767&SQ=d3620791e3a9a9c7e2f58f8cbf1da831
    Is this an "over sight" between Sun JES product mgmt and tech support (ie. offer software "free" to companies under 100 users -- but require support access in order to get latest patches in order to run software in production).
    My take: the end-user oddities with UWC in JES 2005Q4 require fixes -- primary: many messages received from Outlook senders can't be read (displayed with [ndif!!]).
    Thoughts and/or suggestions?? We are willing to PAY $$$ for incident pack -- but no one @ sun support will take my $$$.

    hi,
    no it's too large.
    i think i have solved my problem,
    originally the name of the web service is setting on v2/SecurityService_
    </wsdl:binding>
    <wsdl:service name="SecurityService">
    <wsdl:port binding="impl:SecurityServiceSoapBinding" name="v2/SecurityService">
    <wsdlsoap:address location="http://dev2008:7001/xmlpserver/services/v2/SecurityService"/>
    </wsdl:port>
    </wsdl:service>
    </wsdl:definitions>
    if i change the name to SecurityService as follow , no error occurs
    </wsdl:binding>
    <wsdl:service name="SecurityService">
    <wsdl:port binding="impl:SecurityServiceSoapBinding" name="SecurityService">
    <wsdlsoap:address location="http://dev2008:7001/xmlpserver/services/v2/SecurityService"/>
    </wsdl:port>
    </wsdl:service>
    </wsdl:definitions>
