Idiots guide to installing new applications..

to an N95
I have been looking at some of the add ons available for the N95, but I haven't got a clue how to do it.
Do I download via nokia updater? download to pc then to phone?
IME codes, where do I get one and what do I do with it?

Can someone post up a step by step idiot guide of how to do this?

I have an N95 to, and all the great applications avaibable is what makes it great. To download an app, if its made for an S60 phone, it is usually as easy as going to the web page and clicking Download.
You rarely ever need to involve your computer in installing apps as long as you can use the internet on your phone.
IME? I have no idea what that is. I never had to deal with internet access issues on my phone, just plugged in a SIM in an unlocked N95.
Heres your step by step download guide: (WidSets used as an example)
1. Open internet and select access point on your phone
2. Goto widsets.com
3. Click the option that looks most likely to lead you to a download. For widsets, it is "Get Started"
4. Click Download. For widsets it is "Download the Client"
5. Your phone should ask "Install WidSets?" or something similar, accept these messages.
6. Your download should begin, do not exit the progress screen saying #kB/#kB.
7. Your application should appear into the folder your phone determined best for it. For widsets, it will be in your application folder.

Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.

I tried to update a few apps from my iPhone, and to install new applications from APPSTORE. But i got a message :" Your Apple ID has been disabled"!!!!!!

Depending on why it's been disabled you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
Or you might need to contact Apple : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
If it then works on your computer's iTunes but not your phone/iPad then try logging out of your account on the phone/iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it

I am using my production server ECC 6.0 without Java on HP unix in only CI .Now we have 100 users license and we are perchasing 200 more Sap license. So naturally Load will be increase .Now we want to Installed one Application Server for Load balancing .
So please suggest what will be pre-request for add new Application server ?
How I installed or add new Application server .
Is any requirement to created new file system in CI and Mount that one.
Its new schenereo or project for me. So please guide me how I will do this project.

Java plugin the idiots guide to installing ?

For the love of ... how do you import these java plugin in's. Every time i get a software update i need to re~download the java plugin to play Supremacy 1914. Can some one provide an idiots step by step guide to installing this software. Many thanks.

You don't say what operating system version you are on and the process may differ depending on this, however for Lion and Mountain Lion the following applies.
The latest Java update from Apple issued this week removes the Java Preferences utility from the Utility folder and also removes Java Applet support from all web-browsers.
To reinstate Java Applet support you need to go to http://www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp
Then click on the 'Test the currently installed version of Java' link
Then you should see a message saying Missing Plugin, click on this
You will now get a dialog box, click on the More info button
This will take you to a download webpage for the latest Mac Java software
Click the button to download the Mac Java software
This will download a disk image file
Once it has finished downloading mount the image file by opening it
In the Finder window it opens run the Java installer by double clicking on it, and then install as normal
Quit the web-browser
Relaunch the web-browser (which forces it to load the new Java plugin)
Visit the http://www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp page again
Click on the 'Test the currently installed version of Java' link again
This time it should work and show you the version proving it is working

Cannot install new applications IN applications folder. Why?

This week I have tried to install 2 new applications to my Powermac G5 which runs Panther 10.3.9. The applications were Firefox (for this version of OS X, of course), and Skype. BOTH applications downloaded fine--when I double click to launch the dmg file I get this window which prompts me to drag the install file off the deskop into the applications folder. THIS is where the problems begin: I can't get it to work! Instead a 'shortcut' is made in the applications folder--to the dmg file which INSISTS on staying on the desktop--like it's a hard disk volume or something! Weird. So I gave up trying to install Skype. I got Firefox to work this way, but it *****...it runs like crap this way. Why is this happening and what do I have to do to fix it??? Oh--and one other maybe useful bit of information: last January 2007 I put this computer into long term storage when I went overseas...it wasn't until just two weeks ago that I came back, brought it out of its box and started it back up again. At first everything seemed to run fine...except Safari, which began to continually crap out and crash at start up...hence my deleting it entirely and going for Firefox. That's when I first noticed this apparent inability to install applications properly. Please, somebody heeeeeelp! I am so stressed out by this! Thanks so much in advance, Steve

It is a mounted disk volume. Open the item on the desktop and drag the application inside to the Applications folder; if you see a brown package icon instead, double-click it and follow the onscreen directions.

Installing new application into WP8.1 device fails

According to documentation 8.1 should support installing new LOB apps (not only updating existing ones). Unfortunately I get error 404 for executing DownloadInstall node. When I install app via Company Hub and then uninstall it (so that nodes remain in the
device cache then the installation works OK.
Has anyone managed to do clean install of company app?

Unable to Install New Applications

I just purchased a new Seagate external hard drive. When I begin the installation process the hard drive dashboard will not install to my computer. It appears taht I am having difficulty installing anything new without an error. When I try to install new programs to my iMac I get a message that says the application quit unexpectedly. Thanks Kappy, I have a iMac 7,1 with the Mac OS X Version 10.5.8. I have not used the computer much in the last year. I followed the instructions to set up the drive but I cannot get past the initial Seagate Dashboard Installer.dmg, It begins to install but when I get to the Mac Installer and double click I get the error message "the application Dashboard quit unexpectedly". I tried to download the application straight from the Seagate website as well and the same message occurred once I came to the Mac Installer step again.

Problem installing new applications.

I got a Macbook running Lion. The problem is whenever i download an applications Setup it crashes.
I can see the app open on the dock (as i'm able to see the icon there), but nothing happens if I click them it crashes and auto closes. Any suggestion?

I suspect you have already thought of it, but I would contact the software manufacturer (Adobe, right?) for help. I had a similar experience with different software and it turned out the the code was not included.
I would also try to (after removing whatever Pacifist installed) install the application from the software included with your scanner.

I am a Mac Newbie. My wife and I share a MacBook (10.5.5), we both have administrator accounts on the MacBook. We both have iPhones (2.1). I have downloaded numerous song and applications to my iPhone. My wife tried to download a few applications from the iTunes Store and received the following message, "Some of the applications in your iTunes library, including 'Wikipanion', were not installed on the iPhone '[Wife's name] iPhone' because you are not authorized for them on this computer." Does anyone know what is causing this error?

This is a common problem which I have not seen any reasonable response about from Apple. I have this problem. I suspect it may be related to the 2 phone thing. I have tried several posted fixes (reload phone from backup, remove apps and sync from itunes), but none permanently fix the problem.

Whenever I attempt, it tells me that I need to be (or contact) the adminstrator, which I am; most often, I can get an "authenticate" option where I can simply re-type my password. Other times I don't get the option and the install shuts down. This all happened after I ran the drivers for the Arduino microprocessor. Any ideas?

This sounds like normal behaviour. The OS is supposed to ask you to approve changes that are system-wide. Or am I missing your point?

The suggestions about first aid sound like good ones... Before repairing permissions, verify the disk and make sure it says it "appears to be OK".
