IDP in China

First, I know this is a off-topic. But I don't know where to post this topic and this forum seems like the mostly related forum for this topic.
OK, let me explain the problem.
We are the iPhone programmers in China. Since the apple online store is not available in China, so if we want to request a iDP, we need to download a puchase form in PDF format, print this PDF, complete the form, fax it. And then apple will complete the process in 2 or 3 weeks.
OK, we don't mind this long time process and we understand why we need to regester iDP in this way. There are no problem here.
The problem is that after we did the fax, we don't know if we have faxed it successfully or not. Apple Inc. dose not send us a email to tell us that they have received the fax. Waiting is the only thing that we can do. And After 3 weeks, if there is no anwser from apple, we must do a fax again, and do waiting again.
During the wating, we can contact the chinadev@apple via email, but their answer is always like "we have got in touch with the Billing team, they have not responsed."

This is just what I want to say.
I encounter the same problem. It is too difficult to send a fax to register the iDP. I tried two days long from morning to night to fax the form, but all failed, until I did it at last Wednesday.
I contacted with chinadev@apple to make sure if the fax has been received by the billing team, they said they got no response and cannot confirm it.
I contacted with [email protected], but no response comes.
I faxed the form again, and a letter was attached to tell the situation, but no response comes.
Is the billing team so busy to have no time just to write a mail?

  • Had a pop-up that froze Safari. Now website thinks I am in China. Do I have malware?

    On my MacBook I followed a link that took me to a website with a pop-up telling me I had won an iPad. I didn't want to click on the "okay" button thinking it was dodgy. But Safari was frozen. I tried quitting Safari and restarting the computer but every time I restarted Safari the pop-up reappeared. I eventually resolved it by restarting Safari and during the short interval between starting Safari and the pop-up window reloading I managed to click on the "x" to close the tab. Nothing seems amiss with the computer however, when I go to a website I commonly use it thinks I am in China. When I tried the same website from my iMac that wasn't being used I get the same. I am not sure if there is an issue or not but am worried that I have a trojan. Hope you guys can shed some light on this...

    Quit the mail app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
    Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
    See if that helps.

    I've been waiting for months for vodafone uk to stock the 820. Finally I contacted them arranged for the upgrade. During the call I stated that I did not want one that was made in China. I have nothing against the quality but in these difficult economic times it seems right to support manufacturers that are as local as possible. Vodafone assured me that they were shipping phones made Finland.
    It arrived today and I was very excited until I saw the label n the box stating that it was Made in China. I haven't opened it, it is going back.
    Vodafone now say that they cannot say where the phones they supply will have been manufactured and the only option is to check with their stores to see what stock they have. It makes it very onerous for the customer to get what they want.
    Is there any chance that Nokia can provide an option for their customers where they can specify that they get a local manufactured product?
    At the moment I guess my old N8 will have to soldier on. If I can only get Chinese phones it takes away a major Nokia USP.

    I am going to be living in China with my Macbook. I will be bringing my Airport Express with me.
    I would like to know whether it is appropriate to connect up my Airport Express to a Chinese cable modem to obtain wireless internet access at home.
    Or is it a very different system used in China for home wireless network.

    Many, but not all of the same wireless channels in the US are allowed in China. See this Wikipedia Document for some information.
    As to whether you will connect using ethernet or PPPoE, etc., that will depend on the provider that you choose.

    (1) which payment medium program do you advise to use in order to generate this DME file for China? Is it payment program RFFOM100?
    (2) are there other payment programs within SAP for China that can handle different file formats specified by the banking partner? Reading the RFFOM100 documentation, the format above does not seem to be accomodated Bank RFFOM100:

  • How can I get a representative to help me with my Apple ID when I live in China (where I don't speak or read the language) and I created it in Canada (where I used to live)?

    I explained to Kavitha from the iTunes Store Customer Support the following information:
    - my home country is Canada
    - I am an English speaker
    - I currently live in China, but I don't read or speak Chinese
    - my Apple ID was created in Canada
    - my husband bought me a new iPad last Sunday in China where we live
    - I couldn't remember the answers to my security questions, so I followed Apple instructions to reset it by adding a rescue email address to my Apple ID
    - I have received no email message in the inbox for my rescue email address as promised to help me reset my security questions for my Apple account
    - I updated the email address for the Apple ID (the login) and, for some reason, my old Apple ID is still showing up on my new iPad when I try to sign in
    - you told me to select the website of the country that I live in (which is China - I've already explained this) and therefore directed me to a Chinese website which I CANNOT read
    - I was NOT asking Kavitha about how to change the language on my new iPad and she sent me an article about resolving that type of issue in error
    - I can't choose Canada as my country because I don't live there ANYMORE and I don't have a Canadian phone number anymore
    - I have a Chinese phone number because I LIVE in China
    Response from Kavitha:
    - she can't help me 
    - advised me to select the website of the country that I live in which is China (I already explained this) and therefore directed me to a Chinese website which I CANNOT read

    - also, I can't schedule a call using China as the country associated with my Apple ID because everything will be in Chinese and a Chinese representative who I will NOT be able to understand will call me

    Only Apple Account Security could help at this point. You can try calling Apple Support in Canada - you'll have to find one of the several ways, such as Skype, to call an 800 number from outside of the relevant country - and ask for Account Security and see if they can help. Or you can find a friend who speaks Chinese and ask them to help you talk to Apple Support in China. There are really no other options that I know of.
    Note, by the way, that these are user-to-user support forums. You aren't speaking with Apple when you post here.

  • How can I use an international credit card when I bought my iPad in china and currently a residence of china?

    I want to purchase apps and because I reside in CHina the options for payment are Chinese banks and yet I hold an international credit card. I want to pay for my apps and unfortunately because I am not a Chinese citizen, I don't hold a local credit card but debit cards, does it mean I can't use my international British bank credit card to buy apps in China, as I also bought my IPad in China. The prompts for payment don't give me an option of international banks, but local Chinese. Please help me as I would love to have freedom to use my IPad and be able to purchase apps I want.

  • I bought an iPhone 5s in China and the maps app is different.  When I go to the US will I be able to use Apple's native app or will I be stuck with this one?

    So I wanted to ask a question that my googlefoo couldn't help me solve.
    I bought an iphone at a reputable electronics market here in China and it is an AT&T model phone.  I bought it at one of the grey market locations because they were sold out elsewhere.  I contacted a friend at AT&T to make sure it is a legit AT&T model.  The phone is great and everything works perfectly including maps.  But maps are done by Autonavi here in China, not Apple.  I downloaded the Mavericks update on my mac and tried some of the new maps features and they wouldn't work with my phone.  That's okay since I live in China now but I'll be going back to the USA soon and I wonder what will happen.  Will it update the app to Apple's native one or stay with Autonavi.  Autonatvi does not have the flyover features and it is not robust in the USA.
    Who can help me out here?  Has anyone purchased a 5, 5c, or 5s in China and gone elsewhere?  Did the maps app change?

    I live in China as well and my iPhone5s is the model A1530 I bougth outside China. I have the same problem as Nikatnight with the iPhone while the iPad Air (wifi only) is working like a charm. It must be definitely something related to the carrier since I was abroad few days ago and everything worked well.
    If you pay attention at the source of your maps, you'll discover they are provided by AutoNavi instead of TomTom and make them appear in chinese with their own border interpretation. Queries are only acceppted in Chinese (p.e. if I type in english "Los Angeles International Airport"  it replies it cannot locate it)
    I suppose everything will be fine when you'll be out of censorship....
    Perhaps iOS  Apple Maps are absolutely useless for expatriate in China.
    Use Google Maps instead
    BTW, I'm surprised how much Apple might prostrate towards hard power Governments.... No matter what, money are always on top!

    No, this is not possible.  It would be like dialing your own phone number.  You must verify an additional new email address for your second iPad.  See the following link which will tell you how to do this.  You will need to add this new address to Facetime app in one of your iPads.

    since I move to china a week ago i realize base on my personal experience that the country is definitely no mac friendly, which is unfortunate for me since i own a macbook pro, iphone and ipad, and i tell you why. ever since i move to china it seems that most of internet related services that apple offer in the mountain lion seemed to be useless, firstly, I can't connect to the mac app store, secondly, i can't connect to the iCloud to do backups for my ipad and iphone and sync notes, and lastly, although not a big lost for me but still noticable is that the help center no longer able to find help if needed from the internet. oh yeah and the safari seems to work slower. I tried to search for any person that are in similar situation like me but no ane seems to be in one therefore I started this discussion. please help me out...
    to give you guys a heads up, looking at all the problems the patterns seems to relate with the apple connections only, I use a mid 2009 macbookpro from Australia, and I bought the mountaion lion from an indonesian appstore, currently my feelings leads to the fact that my mountain lions that are not bought from chinese mac appstore is the reasons, since i read from some articles that the mountain lions that were released in china are different witht he rest of the world.
