IE issue with CF inputs
I have a very simpleCF input:
<label for="login_id">Account ID:</label>
<cfinput type="password" size="25" name="login_id" />
My issue is, whenever I change the TYPE to TEXT, so the user can see what they are typing, the length of the text box in Internet Explorer gets shorter. I can't figure out why this is happening. It ends up messing up my wntire GUI. All I am changing is the type.
In Firefox, this change does nothing.
Has anyone experienced this with IE? Is there a fix for this?
Based on my experience with the beta version of IE9, I doubt things are going to get better anytime soon.
MOST browsers try to adhere strictly to the standards.
Then there is Microsoft who seems to think that IE is, by definition, the standard.
So, if you code to the HTML standard, you are probably going to tick off what is currently your largest browser group, IE.
The solution, as stated, is to perfect your code in a CSS manner.

Performance issues with query input variable selection in ODS
Hi everyone
We've upgraded from BW 3.0B to NW04s BI using SP12.
There is a problem encountered with input variable selection. This happens regardless of using BEx (new or old 3.x) or using RSRT. When using the F4 search help (or "Select from list" in BEx context) to list possible values, this takes forever for large ODS (containing millions of records).
Using ST01 and SM50 to trace the code in the same query, we see a difference here:
<u>NW04s BI SQL command</u>
SELECT
"P0000"."COMP_CODE" AS "0000000032" ,"T0000"."TXTMD" AS "0000000032_TXTMD"
FROM
( "/BI0/PCOMP_CODE" "P0000" ) LEFT OUTER JOIN "/BI0/TCOMP_CODE" "T0000" ON "P0000"."COMP_CODE" = "T0000
"."COMP_CODE"
WHERE
"P0000"."OBJVERS" = 'A' AND "P0000"."COMP_CODE" IN ( SELECT "O"."COMP_CODE" AS "KEY" FROM
"/BI0/APY_PP_C100" "O" )
ORDER BY
"P0000"."COMP_CODE" ASC#
<u>BW 3.0B SQL command:</u>
SELECT ROWNUM < 500 ....
In 3.0B, rownum is limited to 500 and this results in a speedy, though limited query. In the new NW04s BI, this renders the selection screen unusable as ABAP dumps for timing out will occur first due to the large data volume searched using sequential read.
It will not be feasible to create indexes for every single query selection parameter (issues with oerformance when loading, space required etc.). Is there a reason why SAP seems have fallen back on a less effective code for this?
I have tried to change the number of selected rows to <500 in BEx settings but one must reach a responsive screen in order to get to that setting and it is not always possible or saved for the next run.
Anyone with similar experience or can provide help on this?here is a reason why the F4 help on ODS was faster in BW 3.x.
In BW 3.x the ODS did not support the read mode "Only values in
InfoProvider". So If I compare the different SQL statements I propose
to change the F4 mode in the InfoProvider specific properties to
"About master data". This is the fastest F4 mode.
As an alternative you can define indexes on your ODS to speed up F4.
So would need a non-unique index on InfoObject 0COMP_CODE in your ODS

Hello,
I have an issue with my adaptive noise cancellation program. Essentially I want to input a custom wav add noise to it and then filter the noise away in order to gain the custom wav again.
While doing so I want to read the learning curve and read the adaptive coefficients. Unfortunately I have an issue when it comes to the filtering of the custom wav+noise. It won't filter the signal at all.
It would be helpful if someone could have a look at it and possibly help me out.
Thanks!

Testing.vi 59 KBHey Jan,
Thanks for the reply. I am currently using the Adaptive Filter Toolkit in order to obtain those VIs. The VIs which are in use are the LMS Adaptive Filter ones.
I figured there might be an error with the input of the array. This VI requires a DBL Array but it seems like it can not process it.
The "Get Wavefirn Components" works better now but I still have an issue with a time. I put a 9s wav file in but it only computes it in a very short time and I can not play the file while it is computing.
I added the modified program to the attachments.
This program is ought to read a waveform file add noise to it and then use an adaptive filter in order to get the orginal waveform back again and if possible either store or play the final waveform.
Thanks for your help.

Issue with showing input forms for update SQL statement
Hi guys - I'm currently doing a college project and I'm not overly experienced in the area of Java/JSP but I'm having an issue with a project. I have a JSP project inserting, viewing and deleting rows from a database but having an issue getting the update/modify function working in my project.
If I hardcode values into my variables and launch the project it updates fine, but I believe theres an issue with how I'm calling the existing rows. I wish for the user to be able to view the rows from the database and modify as they wish. Once they submit the modifications, I want the row to be updated. Can anyone see where the problem might exist in my code below? I hope it's something small, but I'm not able to fix it at the moment and would apreciate anyone's help! :)
The problem I'm facing at the moment is the input boxes for displaying the current rows from the database are not even showing up..

You might think it is too much work, but if you learn this stuff the wrong way now, it is going to be that much harder converting to the clean, readable, reusable and maintainable way later on. -
Powershell : Issues with user input collection from Multiple InPutBox Form
I am having issues with getting user input to pass from a form that a user fills out into variables that I can then use in other methods and commands. (ex; SQL Query, SQL Data Add, ... )
I have attached the Powershell script I am using in it's designed form but I am having issues getting the DataCollection function to grab the content of the InputBox and send it to a variable for later use.
Note: I'm running this at this time from the ISE so I can actually see what is going on.
Any help would be appreciated.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This suggestion works for the purpose I needed.
If I could, I would attach the file instead of pasting the script so you can see what all I am using this to do.
But in short, we have a main form we use to pull records from a database and call up an application at the click of a button for remote assistance. However, we seem to now need the ability to have this application to edit and add new records into said
database. That's where this second form came in and also when I hit my issue with the information capture.
At this time I'm getting this to format the information collected so that I can start using using it with SQL commands. -
Tax issue with Direct Input mode of RFBIBL00
Hi, I have a problem using <b>RFBIBL00</b> (direct input mode) to create A/R invoices. There is no tax associated with the invoice, however, when I use direct input mode, instead of posting immediately, a batch input session is created. In the log, an <b>information</b> message: <i>'Specify a tax jurisdiction key'</i>. The BDC session is processed with no error.
When using Call transaction mode for RFBIBL00, the document is posted immediately but the requirement is to use Direct input mode.
There is no converted data in the BBTAX structure since the doc. does not need to post to tax account. Do I need to populate the Tax amount, Tax code and jurisdiction code in this structure and BBSEG in order to by pass the information message?
Any advice is appreciated.
- MinamiProblem solved. Just need to untie the relationship between the ITEM import structure and the BBTAX so the Direct Input program will not require a tax jurisdiction code.

Issue With Batch input Session for VA01
Hi,
We Created a BDC for Sales order creation using Call Transaction Using and it Ran fine and as a result a sales order got created.
When we converted the same BDC into session method wherein we created a session using open grp then filled the bdc tab afterwards used BDC insert and then finally closed the session.
the session gets successfully created but the issue is after processing two screens the session just finishes and it shows as processed with no Sales order being created. This looked very strange issue to us.we also tried using parameters of CTU_PARAMS like NOBINPT but no success yet.
Searched on SDN forums also but finally i had to post this .
Please share your solutions or any smilar experinces.
thanks
Sachin Soni
Edited by: Rob Burbank on May 18, 2010 9:33 AMHi Sachin,
Please tell us that whether your session is having all the records as much as your upload file is having.
If yes, then probably your BDCDATA table is not getting populated properly.
Try to debug the routine which you have written for BDC_INSERT then you could find the reason. Apart from that try to run the session in foreground mode for 2-3 records as well.
Please revert back in case of any doubts.
Cheers

thank you for the quick reply.
I used this tool and capture some packets but I don't know how to find problem :-/.
It could be a problem with the MTU and fragmentation?

Issue with clear input field icons in IE10
Hi,

Issue with setting float point in Textfield
hi
i have an issue with float input in a textfield.
what i want to do is.
when the user start typing numerics it should accept from right hand side and keep appending value from right hand side.
for ex
if i want to enter 123.45
user starts entering
1 then it should display as 0.01
2 then it should display as 0.12
3 then it should display as 1.23

this is not working as desired pls help me.
can we use this code and get the desired result or is there any other way to do this.
it is very urgent for me pls help immediately
thanks in advanceHi camickr
i learned how to format the code now, and u also responded for my testarea problem , iam very much thankful to u, and now i repeat the same problem what i have with a text field.
actually i have window with a textfield on it and while end user starts entering data in it , it should be have as follows
when the user start typing numerics it should accept from right hand side and keep appending value from right hand side.
first the default value should be as 0.00 and as the user starts entering
then it is as follows
for ex
if i want to enter 123.45
user starts entering
1 then it should display as 0.01
2 then it should display as 0.12
3 then it should display as 1.23
4 then it should display as 12.34
5 then it should display as 123.45
i hope u will give me quick reply because this is very hard time for me. -

Issue with input field in table control
Hi,
I have an issue with field acgl_item-rstgr in the table control.
I have created a screen program with a table control.
In the control i have added a dictionary field as acgl_item-rstgr.
When i execute, do f4 on the input field, select a value and press enter, then it is showing me
error as 'Entry 'val' does not exist in T053R (check entry). Its really weird to understand this. I have selected the value
from f4 and even then it says this. Its working for all other columns, but not working only for RSTGR.
Plz help me on this regard.
Code is like this.
TYPES : BEGIN OF ty_rstgr,
rstgr TYPE RSTGR,
END OF ty_rstgr.
TABLES : ACGL_ITEM.
DATA : it_rstgr TYPE TABLE OF ty_rstgr.
DATA : wa_rstgr TYPE ty_rstgr.
CONTROLS : table TYPE TABLEVIEW USING SCREEN 100.
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
MODULE STATUS_0100.
LOOP AT it_rstgr INTO wa_rstgr WITH CONTROL TABLE.
ENDLOOP.
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
MODULE USER_COMMAND_0100.
LOOP AT it_rstgr.
ENDLOOP.
Thanks,Hi Navitha,
Its Check Table concepts for the error u stated. Please check wht the Search help ur using...Because for this field there is no search help at value table level...Use search help that hold all master data or create a custom search field in SE11 level or in program level.

Issue with refresh of an input schedule
Hi Experts,
We are facing an issue with the refresh of an input schedule.
We have a custom refresh via macro whereby we first refresh 3 reports in other tabs and then refresh the main schedule.
The problem is for a particular test id we need to click on refresh twice but for developer id we refresh it only once and see the value.
Can you help what could be the cause of it.
In the main report we have all dimensions in either row or column axis and we are also using Dimension override for 3 dimensions.
Let me know if any other info is required.
Thanks
Raman.Hello,
Could you please specify the following information:
1) What do you mean by "custom refresh"? is this feature developed by the custom development team?
2) What are the level patch and the version of the product?

Issue with RFBIBL00 batch input processing
Hello ABAP Experts,
I am having issue with a speed of batch input session processing. If you can please help me resolve the issue.
I have a requirement to post liquidation document to clear open vendor down payment items and then to clear vendor invoice with liquidation. I have created a custom program to address this requirement where it uses the SAP program and Call Transaction.
For liquidation document posting, I am using the program RFBIBL00. The custom program has steps:
1. Submit RFBIBL00 via job to create batch input session
2. Close job
3. Submit RSBDCSUB via job to process batch input session
4. Close job
5. Wait for 15 seconds
6. Read job log to get liquidation document number
7. If no document posted then display error
The issue is when the job log is read it says u2018Session 10zrsbdcsubxxxxxxx is being processed by user in mode on serveru2019 and there is no error message or no document number with message number 312. So the program displays error message, stops and cannot perform the second step. If I check in the system after a couple of minutes I find the document posted. I also increased the wait time. But the first record processing always takes longer and the program finds as a failure. The program can process next several records with success.
I am looking for expert help if you please suggest how to resolve this.
Thanks & Regards.
YashasviHi,
Have you tried calling FM DEQUEUE_ALL before/after schedulling job?

Issue with Input Parameters & Variables
Hello Gurus,
I have a situation where, when the user enter “Parent Company” say for ex: ABC, then the over all
Result should filter by ‘ABC’, and then there is key figure column where I need to consider not equal to ABC and then sum the key figure.
In HANA, here both variables and Input patemters are mutually exclusive. Is there any way that I can pass the value of the variable to the input parameters without writing the code in Analytical or calculation views.
If it’s BW-bex, it was very straight forward, I can create the variable for parent company ‘ABC’, put it as global filter, so that whenever the user selects ‘ABC” it should display on ABC data in the out put.
I can also use the same variable and crate calculated column in BEx and attach the variable to the key figure and say the sum the key figure but exclude the Parent company “ABC’.
I have tried the projection view and try to put filter on it, but it did not work. My requirement is
Whenever the user selects ABC, it should display only ABC data, only 10 records out of 100 records and for one key figure column; I need to aggregate but excluding the Parent company “ABC”.
Can I pass the Variable value to input parameters without writing the code?
Regards
Ramakrishnan RamanathaiahHow about the following:
Assuming you have 2 characteristics (Plant and Parent company) and 1 KF (Net Sales).
Now let's create a projection with Filter using Input parameter on Parent company (with user input value as ABC), which might give the output as:
Plant
comp
Net Sales
P1
ABC
10
P2
ABC
5
Now, let's create a second projection with the Calc KF "Net Sales calculated" with the formula as:
if comp = $input_value$, then 0 else Net_Sales.. this way you can simulate the EXCLUDE functionality.
Plant
comp
Net sales
P1
ABC
0
P1
BCD
15
P2
ABC
0
Now union both the projections with two diff KFs, Net Sales and Net Sales Calculated.
Plant
Net Sales
Net Sales Calc
P1
10
15
P2
5
0
Subsequent model depends on your reporting drilldown requirement. If you drilldown Parent company also in the rows, then you will see the split in the values.
Please try this and let us know if it works or what other issues come up.. we can try resolving the issues..
