If I download the 65 bit I tunes it asks if I want to delete I tunes or fix. If I choose delete so that I can reinstall the 64 bit, is all my data in library lost

If I try to download the 64 bit I tunes, the options are to fix or delete.  If I choose delete (so that later) I can reinstall the 64 bit, will all my current data in library lost

Hello schecmi,
The iTunes music and media files are stored in a different location than the iTunes application.  Because they are stored in different locations, you can uninstall the iTunes application without affecting your media files.

Your two iTunes Library files keep track of what media you've added to iTunes, how you've organized it, and other information such as playlists. These two files are in your iTunes folder by default:
Mac OS X: /Users/username/Music/iTunes/

Windows Vista: C:\Users\username\Music\iTunes\
