If my iPhone is set up with a different apple ID than my itunes library, how do I add music onto my phone?
I recently got an iPhone 4, and I set up an Apple ID of my own. I would like to put music on my phone, but all of my music is under another Apple ID and it won't let me add music from that account onto my phone. How do I add the music I would like?
'...but all of my music is under another Apple ID ...'
This is the confusing part from your Original Post...
Please state Exactly who this Music you are trying to Sync belongs to.
If it does Not belong to you... Then Yes you will need to Purchase it.

My Apple TV was set up with a different Apple ID than I have for my ITunes Account. In other words I have multiple Apple ID's. How can get these accounts to sync up?
If you wish to use home sharing then you need to setup the Apple TV under your ID.

Had 3G, moved to 3GS. Backed up 3G and restored 3GS from backup with no problem on a Dell computer. But now when I want to add songs, I get itunes message of death that the new iphone is synced to another computer and now wants to erase everything. How can I add music without erasing everything on my new iphone?
Yes, I was aware of this but the phrase "Any items imported from audio CDs or acquired from other sources will not copy from your device to the iTunes library." is what worries me. Will this eliminate my Notes, Calendar Events, etc or will it apply mostly just to the music?

i am trying to set my imessage, but when i switch to on it asks for a password with a different apple id than my original
Sign out of that Apple ID, then sign in with the correct one.
Go to Settings > FaceTime, tap your Apple ID, and select Sign Out.
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, tap your Apple ID, and select Sign Out.

My itunes account keeps giving me this Error message. "You are signed in with a different Apple ID than previously used with podcasts. Do you want to sync these podcasts subscriptions and stations with "gajppl"" gajppl is my only Apple ID. What do I do?

An app which I have never purchased shows as an update on the App store. When I try to deal with it shows as being purchased by someone with a different apple id than me. No one else uses my Macbook Pro. A "Genius" at one of my local Apple stores spent over 2 hours trying to fix this and could not do it. His last suuggestion was to go home, back up all the data an take the computer back to the Apple store to reinstall the operating system. Any simpler ideas to solve this problem.???

Why am I getting this error message every time I open iTunes? I'm giving the option of Sync or don't Sync and click sync and there are no problems. But why does it open with: You are signed in with a different Apple ID than previously used with Podcasts. Do you want to sync these podcast subscriptions and stations with “*****”?

Why do I keep getting this message - it is simply not true. 'You are signed in with a different Apple ID than previously used with Podcasts. Do you want to sync these podcast subscriptions and stations?

You are signed in with a different Apple ID than you previously used
OK, so 2 updates ago I started getting this error about being signed in with a different Apple ID used with Podcasts. It says do you want to sync or not sync
Well after clicking synck 30 or more times it still pops up. So I tried don't sync and it still pops up.
It just keeps popping up even when iTunes is on music and in the background.
Oh, and I only have 1 account, never changed it in anyway. This started to happen exactly 2 upgrades ago. I waited figuring it must be known and they will fix it and sure enough there was another update recently but it did not fix my issue.
Any ideas? Please sign out of the iTunes Store by selecting

I have recently uploaded some music onto my laptop from cds onto my itunes library. User 1 (B) is a regular user of itunes and has playlists on his iphone from cds. User 2 (c) wanted like a particular cd on his phone and it synced onto iphone ok from the itunes library, also has never used the laptop before to sync normally uses icloud.
User 1(b) later downloaded 5 cds onto itunes and wanted to sync onto iphone but now cannot get the sync to work, however when you ask what is actually on the phone those cds do feature via itunes but are shown in grey on the screen whereas all the other music on the phone is in black.
FACTs
I only have one laptop and one login on the laptop
All three phones have their own icloud
User 3(K) just uses icloud and doesn't use itunes on the laptop but occasionally buys tracks straight from itunes on her iphone
QUESTION
Does this mean only one user can login/sync to itunes?
What is the solution to this problem so that all 3 users will be able to log on to itunes with the same login on the laptop to sync cds onto iphones?
Would Home Sharing help?
ThanksYou are going to need to change the email address you use with your old ID. Once you have got access to your old account you will then log into both accounts at the same time on your Mac and transfer your data to a single account. We can do this later, but need you to get access to your old account first.

One computer with 2 different apple accounts - why does the library merge?
we have one computer currently being used with my son's itunes account. When we added my younger son's account to this same computer, his downloaded/purchased music is being merged into the same library as my older son's. Is there any way to separate these accounts so that each kid doesn't have a library full of their AND their sibling's music? We assumed that by creating a new account that the music he purchased would go into his unique library.
If you are using different iTunes Store accounts on the same Windows or Mac OS X user account and haven't explicitly set up a separate library, there will only be one iTunes library regardless of how many iTunes Store accounts you have. iTunes libraries are completely separate from iTunes Store accounts.

I have created a new user account on my iMac and set up itunes which will allow me to see and play music from my "home" or main user's library. I wanted to create a new playlist in the new user side however itunes is not allowing me to add music to this playlist. I am getting the following message:
There was a problem downloading "Song Name". You do not have enough access privileges for this operation. Please check that the connection to the network is active and try again.
How can I correct this problem? So I have been searching the iStore for Airplay and I find lots of information about what it is, but nothing about how much it costs, how/where to buy it, etc.?
Fortunately, AirPlay does not cost anything as it is a streaming protocol used by Apple. Currently, the AirPort Express and Apple TV are AirPlay-ready. A number of other companies, like JBL, iHome, Denon and Klipsch are also rumored to be working on AirPlay versions of their products.
Your other option would be to get an AirPort Express and connect it to your Onkyo analog or optical digital audio input and stream from iTunes that way. I currently do this with my 10+ year old Harmon Kardon HT receiver. -
What is the best way to do this?
Your iPod is designed to sync with only one iTunes library at a time. It will recognize the iTunes library on the Mac as a new library. If you sync the iPod with this new library, all content will be erased from the iPod and replaced with what is in the new library. So what you will want to do is copy everything from the iPod to your new iTunes library on your Mac first.
See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different methods and software available to assist you with the task of copying content from your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes.

HT5625 My iPhone has a different Apple ID than my iTunes and iCloud accounts.
Why is this? I change my password on iTunes and through the App Store using my secret questions. However, the password is not accepted. What am I doing wrong?
If your iPhone has a different Apple ID, sign out of that one and sign onto the right one.
