If statement error on compile

Trying to set CUST_REF to 'TITANIC' If ACTIVITY = 'Karate', 'Junior Karate', 'Judo' or 'Junior Judo'
     IF (:GROUP_CUSTOMER.ACTIVITY = 'Karate')
     OR
     (:GROUP_CUSTOMER.ACTIVITY = 'Junior Karate')
     OR
     (:GROUP_CUSTOMER.ACTIVITY = 'Judo')
     OR
     (:GROUP_CUSTOMER.ACTIVITY = 'Junior Judo')
     THEN
     SET :GROUP_CUSTOMER.CUST_REF = 'TITANIC';
     END IF;
Please Help!

Why not just use the IN operator? For example:
IF ( :GROUP_CUSTOMER.ACTIVITY IN ('Karate','Junior Karate','Judo','Junior Judo',) ) THEN
   :GROUP_CUSTOMER.CUST_REF := 'TITANIC';
END IF;Also, you code example is using a Comparison operator ( = ) instead of an Assignment operator ( := ) in your IF statement.
/* Your code sample */
IF (:GROUP_CUSTOMER.ACTIVITY = 'Karate')
OR
(:GROUP_CUSTOMER.ACTIVITY = 'Junior Karate')
OR
(:GROUP_CUSTOMER.ACTIVITY = 'Judo')
OR
(:GROUP_CUSTOMER.ACTIVITY = 'Junior Judo')
THEN
    /* The SET command is not appropriate here... */
    SET :GROUP_CUSTOMER.CUST_REF = 'TITANIC';
    /* This Assignment should be... */
    :GROUP_CUSTOMER.CUST_REF := 'TITANIC';
END IF;Hope this helps.

    I am new to Java
    What is wrong with the way it is coded?The error message tells you what's wrong: You're trying to reference a non-static variable from a static context.
    If you don't know what that means, then click the link I provided and look at the results from that google search. You might have to go through a few before you find a satisfactory explanation. And after you've done that, if you have specific questions about things you didn't understand there, please post again.

  • Error while compiling the PO Item Category KFF

    Kindly help me. I am new and learning Purchasing module and now stuck because of an error while compiling the PO Item Category KFF. This is because a segment is saved in the database incompletely.
    Now the segment does not show in the Segments Summary form. But when I enter the same Number, I get the error APP-FND-00924: You chose a sement number that is used by another segment.
    When I freeze and compile the structure with different segments, I get the error
    APP-FND-00668: The data that defines the flexfield on this field may be inconsistent. Inform your system administrator that the function: FDFRKS could not find the structure definition for the flexfield specified by Application = &APPL, Code = MCAT and Structure number = 201 (APPID=401)

    Hi Sandeep
    Sorry that I am bothering with basic questions, but I am not able to run any Select queries. It gives error Table or View does not exist. I can see the table from ALL_TABLES view, but I cannot Select.
    I have logged in as oracle user. This is not Vision datbase. Can you let me know the default dba user and password or how to get the permission?
    Regards

    psmt1 = conEntry.prepareStatement(query, ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE, ResultSet.CONCUR_READ_ONLY);
    rs1 = psmt1.executeQuery(); //error showing while executing this line

    Also .. Why using arrays instead of collections? Shifting the cursor all the way forth and back to get the count is fairly terrible.
    With regard to the problem: either there's a nasty bug in the JDBC driver used, or you actually aren't running the compiled class version of the posted code.

  • Error in compiling SQL Expression

    In the [Error in SQL Expression; thread, Kurt Reinhardt wrote "Please note, a SQL Expression can only return a single, distinct value per each record in the main recordset.", I tried this where my main Record Selection's SQL query is:
    {GLF_LDG_ACC_TRANS.ldg_name} = {@&CH_LDG_GL_ACT_CURR} and
    {GLF_LDG_ACC_TRANS.period} = {@&CH_PERIOD_GL_CURR} and
    {GLF_LDG_ACC_TRANS.ACCNBRI}  "99991103" and
    {GLF_LDG_ACC_TRANS.DOC_REF1}  "{%SundryCreditors}" and
    {GLF_LDG_ACC_TRANS.DOC_TYPE} = "$APINVCE"
    My SQL Expression %SundryCreditors is:
    select doc_ref1
    from glf_ldg_acc_trans
    where ldg_name = 'APLED09'
      and period = "GLF_LDG_ACC_TRANS"."PERIOD"
      and doc_ref1 = "GLF_LDG_ACC_TRANS"."DOC_REF1"
      and accnbri like 'SUNDRY%'
    which essentially queries the same table as the main recordset using the same key fields, and returns one row only. However, when I click on the Check button in the Formula Workshop window, I get the error message "Error in compiling SQL Expression : Database Connection Error: '42000:MicrosoftODBC SQL Server DriverSQL ServerIncorrect syntax near the keyword 'select'. Database Vendor Code: 156 '".
    Do you know what is my issue?

    If you know what you're doing, you can add a full select statement into a SQL Expression... And Kurt is correct when he says that it may only return a single row of info. Don is also correct when he says that this not what SQL commands are designed for.
    Here's what's happening...
    When you link your tables in the Database Expert and drop fields onto the design surface (and optionally, add criteria to the Select Expert), CR builds out a SQL statement that can is to be sent out to the db server so that the data can be returned. You can view this SQL by going to Database > Show SQL Query...
    When you add a SQL Expression, CR inserts it into the SQL Query as another data column. This is typically done to take advantage of functions that are available in the data base but not in CR.
    A few crafty individuals, like Kurt, have figured out that you can in fact inset a full SELECT query into a SQL Expression and it will be inserted into the CR generated querie's SELECT list as a sub-query.
    Bear in mind 2 things... #1) You have to be familiar with SQL syntax, namely you have to know the proper syntax for using sub-queries in a SELECT list in your data base. #2) CR doesn't officially support is behavior and they won't offer you any help if the current functionality is removed in later versions.

  • Exiting from sqlplus when there is any errors while compiling pl/sql progra

    I am connecting to sqlplus from unix and I am executing a pl/sql script . Now if I get some error while compiling a procedure, package, function or any sql statement I want to exit sqlplus.
    whenever sqlerror works only for sql statements but not for plsql
    I dont want to query user_errors table and then throw some exception depending on the same .
    Is there any command available or any easier way to solve this problem ?

    Those errors we get only when there is conflict in same etc.
    Now consider the example here
    sample.sql
    whenever sqlerror exit failure ;
    declare
            s1 long;
    begin
            s1 := 'create or replace procedure proc1 as '||
              'declare '||
              'begin '||
                  'end; '||
              'end;';
            execute immediate s1;
    end;
    select 1 from dual;When I run the script
    SQL> @sample.sql
    ERROR:
    ORA-24344: success with compilation error
    ORA-06512: at line 9
    Warning: PL/SQL compilation errors.

             1Actually I want to get out before it executes select means once it throws error in pl/sql.

    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.Error: Unresolved compilation problem: Unresolved compilation problem is an error that you'll only ever see if you're using an IDE. If you used the javac compiler, then you would have seen that the code doesn't even compile.
    The reason (as others have pointed out) is, that some paths through your method don't return a value.
    I'll re-write your code in the code-style that I usually use, because then it might be easier for you to see the problem:
    public boolean find(MusbachJ_Person person,BstNode node)
         if(node.intData.compareTo(person)==0) {
              return true;
         if( node.leftNode != null ) {

         if( node.rightNode != null ) {
              find( person, node.rightNode);
         else {
              return false;
    }There are two prolbems. I'll spell out the first and let the other one for you to find:
    1.) you don't do anything with the return-values of the find-methods you are calling. What do you want to do with them?
    2.) What do you return if the current node is not the one that you want and you've got a right node?

  • Error while compiling form in AS 10g  deployed on Linux

    Hello,
    I am trying to compile a form which references a PLL(PLX) file. I get the following error.

    Compiling error on procedure SETUP_CHECK:
    PL/SQL Error 201 on Line 47, Column 8
    Identifier 'CALL_ALERT' must be declared
    PL/SQL Error 0 on Line 47, Column 8
    Statement Ignored
    ================================================
    I have included the directories where the FMB and the PLL(PLX) files are available in the FORMS_PATH. I restarted the forms service through Enterprise manager once also.
    Forms which don't refer to any PLL file compile successfully without any problem.
    Also the above form compiles successfully without any problem in the windows development environment.
    Any pointers would be genuinely appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Hiten

    There is one more thing which can cause this error. The Library file should have the extension in small case. i.e. the name of the file should be CUSTOM.pll, if the name is CUSTOM.PLL it will not work.
    Btw, I thought the compiler would be looking for the 'plx' file 'CUSTOM.plx', but it seems it looks for the 'pll' file ? Can anyone through some light on this behaviour ?
    Regards,
    Hiten

  • Error in compiling: file javax\servlet\jsp\PageContext.class not found

    Hi,
    i'm getting an error when I'm trying to compile an java file. The error is as follows:
    cannot access javax.servlet.jsp.PageContext
    file javax\servlet\jsp\PageContext.class not found
    Isn't the javax package included in jdk? I've installed jdk 1.3.1_03 and j2re1.4.0_02. Shouldn't this PageContext.class be automatically loaded when i've installed jdk?
    I'm getting desperated! I've tried almost everything: i've changed the classpath, moved the directory of the java file I'm trying to compile over and over but i'm getting no success!
    Any help is very welcome!
    Thankx,
    Nuno.

    hmmm... i had a look and it seems that what you are trying to "import" is actually in a package... instead of import try:
    package javax.servlet.jsp;you may need to go download this "package" and complile it in the directory you are working in.
    my advice: try the above statement (which does compile for me), if it doesn't work, you will need to find the source code for this package and compile it just like you do any other source code.
    hope this helps.

  • TABLE ILLEGAL STATEMENT  error with MODIFY command

    Hi gurus,
    i want you to inform me about table illegal statement error. The error occurs when i use modify as below.
    loop at itab.
       select .......
             where xxx eq itab-xxxx.
           MODIFY itab.
      endselect.
    endloop.
    i know that i have to give the sy-tabix as INDEX parameter to the modify command. but i want to know why i have to do this?
    cause when i debug, i follow the sy-tabix field and it have not a change in select endselect.
    may the reason of the error about cursor in select and cursor effects modify command?
    or why?
    Thx,

    Hello,
    I guess this is because your MODIFY statement is inside the SELECT ... ENDSELECT & not inside the LOOP ... ENDLOOP.
    SAP documentation says:
    Within a LOOP loop, the INDEX addition can be ommitted. In this case the current table line of the LOOP loop is changed.
    You have to change the coding:
    DATA: v_index TYPE i.
    loop at itab.
    v_index = sy-index.
    select .......
    where xxx eq itab-xxxx.
    MODIFY itab INDEX v_index.
    endselect.
    endloop.
    BR,
    Suhas
    PS: The coding practice followed is not very performance oriented as well. May be you should have a look around in some blogs, wikis in SCN & change the code accordingly.

    Hi,
    I am getting a error while compiling model in Visual Composer 7.1.
    An exception occurred at the server while running the build process, reason: Extension with id com.sap.vc.runtimeproviders.null not found. For more details please refer to the log file.
    Can any one please tell me what the error is?

    Hello
    This problem usually indicates the model Runtime provider is not set properly
    Please goto configure pane and check the RT provider that is et for the model or any other model in the same DC
    Also services usages require this property to be set accordingly
    To make sure the services are set properly please look into the configuration pane when the respective service usage is selected (and check the same)
    Please let me know if this helped or not
