If statement in Ant

Hi,
Does anyone tell me how to make "if" statement in Ant? I'd like to execute some target if certain conditions are satisfied. <condition> or <available> just sets property values and cannot be "if" statement.
Let's say, if a property "flag" is true, then I'd like to execute a target called "target1". How can I do this?
thanks,
-tom

most tasks or targets have the ability to check the existence or non-existence of properties. The actual value of a property is not used, its existence is checked.
The condition task can be used to bring a property in existence under certain conditions.
Other than that I suggest looking at the ant documentation, it is pretty comprehensive and not hard to understand.

    Hello,
    There is a very nice ANT add-on which is called Antelope:

  • Web-services Error with 6.1sp3 that doesn't occur with sp2

    I have recently began testing of our application using the newly released weblogic
    server 6.1 sp3. I took our existing compiled ear file and generated web-services
    client.jar file from our last weblogic 6.1 sp2 compile, deployed it on the new
    install of 6.1 sp3 and everything worked great.
    Then, I went to make some coding changes and recompiled my application using the
    6.1 sp3 binaries. Now, whenever I try to make a web-services call, I get the
    following exception:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/net/http/HttpsURLConnection
    This error seems to be occurring on the following statement:
    WebServiceProxy proxy = WebServiceProxy.createService(new java.net.URL( webProxyUrl
    The strange part of the error is that my url is http://... and not https://.
    Also, in my wsgen statement for ant, it states the protocol as http.
    Regardless, If I replace the generated client.jar with the old client.jar generated
    from 6.1sp2, it works just fine.
    Has anyone else experienced this problem?

    I wonder if you have mix up in installing different versions of LabView/nidaq
    LabView 5.1.1 requires daqdrv file to access daq, the file is automatically added to the suport files when you use the application builder to make an exe file
    where as
    LabView 6 and above requires Lvdaq.dll

  • Wldeploy Ant task deploys app in 'New' state

    I am trying to deploy a web application in WL 10.0 using the wldeploy Ant task. However, everytime the application is deployed, the consolidated state is 'New' (or deferred deployment). I have to bounce the servers everytime to bring the app in the Active state.
    Here is my code:
    <target name="undeployWeb">
              <!-- Undeploy the existing deployment -->
              <wldeploy action="undeploy" verbose="true" debug="false" name="${deploymentName}" user="${weblogicUsername}" password="${weblogicPassword}" adminurl="${weblogicAdminURL}" targets="${weblogicTargetServers}" failonerror="false" />
    </target>
    <!-- Deploy .WAR to a target server -->
    <target name="deployWeb">
              <!-- Deploy the application remotely -->
              <wldeploy action="deploy" stage="stage" usenonexclusivelock="true" source="${weblogicDeploymentLocation}/${deploymentName}.war" remote="true" name="${deploymentName}" upload="false" user="${weblogicUsername}" password="${weblogicPassword}" verbose="true" adminurl="${weblogicAdminURL}" debug="true" targets="${weblogicTargetServers}" />
    </target>
    Is there any way to avoid the bounce of the target servers? I wish to activate the web app straightaway. Please help.

    Thanks user10939158, for looking into this.
    Reason I am saying network is not an issue here because the artifact copy to the remote servers and deployment happens fast, it is just at the step of closing DM connection, it is waiting for a long time (>5 mins). I am guessing that the Deployment Manager message exchanges with the server (internally) has something to do with LAN vs WAN. And, I would expect deployment over WAN take a minute extra as opposed to 5-9 minutes extra what we are seeing now.
    Yes, I tried running the wlst script on the remote server and it is fast as well.
    Just to clarify, I do not have a local server. I run the plain simple ant script on a build box(lean linux box) which is in the US.
    Thanks for your help again.

  • Ant logfile is showing debug statements

    Hi,
    I have a application which I run it using ant. If I type the ant -logfile xxx.log. All the logs will be printed in the xxx.log file.
    But along with a my logs, it is also printing DEBUG logs, which is making the file huge. Can anybody tell me if there is any way I can change that DEBUG setting to INFO or something in ant.
    Thanks and Regards

    Quoted from the above linked manual page:
    Loggers extend the capabilities of listeners and add the following features:
    - Logging level (-quiet, -verbose, -debug) aware
    ...-quiet, -verbose, -debug are ANT command line options.

  • JSP problem with ANT

    Hello!
    I built up a web site and I want to test them using ANT. It works fine with other web page, however it doesn't work with web pages with "session" statement. For example in login.jsp I have the following statement
    session.setAttribute("user", request.getParameter("userName"));
    And if the user's name and password are correct, the user is directed to home.jsp, where i have the following statement to retrieve the user's name:
    String id=session.getAttribute("user").toString();
    In order to test the above 2 pages with ANT, I have the following code in builder.xml:
    <?xml version='1.0'?>
    <project name="proj" default="test" basedir=".">
    <target name="test">
    <get src="http://path/login.jsp?userName=id&passWord=1111" dest="1.html" />
    </target>
    </project>
    When I run the script, I get the error that the home.jsp cannot be opened (see below)
    [get] Error opening connection java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 500 for URL: http://path/home.jsp
    I am pretty sure the above error is caused by the "session" statement, because if I remove the statement in home.jsp, the page can be correctly opened. But I really need the "session" statement, Can someone tell me how to deal with it?
    thanks a million.

    Usually with a 500 error there's more detail in a server log somewhere. Can you find anything in stderr.log or some such?

    One mistake i find in your code is while retreiving the session value its session.getAttribute("userName"), as you stored the value using the parameter 'userName'. Is it not causing problem. Please check...

    Note: In its current stage Oracle Java Cloud Service runs WebLogic Server 10.3.6 with the appropriate Runtime ADF 11.1.1.6. Deployment of ADF 11gR2 Applications is currently not supported. Beside this limitation some ADF Features are not supported on the Oracle Cloud. According to the Oracle Cloud Documentation it is not supported to use the following ADF features
    ADF Desktop Integration
    ADF mBean
    ADF MDS (Seeded customizations or cross-session personalization)
    ADF Mobile
    ADF Active Data Services (=> No real-time ADF Web Apps in Oracles Cloud)
    ADF Business Components services interfaces (web services) or events
    ADF Data Controls for BI, Essbase, BAM, and JMX

    No Java Mail API (=>Sending Mails is prohibited)
    No File system access by deployed applications (=>Writing files is prohibited)

  • Error while running the ant script of fusion order demo -Infrastructure.jws

    Hi All,
    I was trying to run the store front application.
    As i was trying to run the scripts to create the tables, stored procedure, schemas etc, the execution of the ant script failed with the following error:
    The apache Ant log reads as follows:
    *[echo] USER_CONTEXT Package Created*
    compileImagesApp:
    *[javac] Compiling 3 source files to D:\11g\ADF-11g\FusionOrderDemo_R1PS1\Infrastructure\DBSchema\classes*

    Total time: 2 minutes 26 seconds
    I ignored the above error and when i tried to run the StoreFrontUI project, i was unable to see the images rendered on the User Interface.
    Can anybody help me as to why this would have happened?
    Is it not getting rendered because the ant script failed @ compileImagesApp? If so, what is the solution for the same?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Vijay

    Hi,
    Even after commenting and uncommenting the path for the imageurl variable in the ImageLoaderServiceAMImpl.java, i am getting the following error when trying to build the schema from the MasterbuildScript Project:
    compileImagesApp:
    *[javac] Compiling 3 source files to D:\11g\adf-Handson\FOD_11\Infrastructure\DBSchema\classes*
    BUILD FAILED

    Total time: 59 seconds
    One more observation when i was changing the path in the ImageLoaderServiceAMImpl.java was that, there were lot many errors that were shown in the file:
    Following import statements were erroring out:
    import oracle.jbo.Row;
    import oracle.jbo.ViewObject;
    import oracle.jbo.domain.BlobDomain;
    import oracle.jbo.domain.DBSequence;
    import oracle.jbo.domain.Timestamp;
    import oracle.jbo.domain.Number;
    import oracle.jbo.server.ApplicationModuleImpl;
    import oracle.jbo.server.ViewObjectImpl;
    Can you please provide some pointers on this as well?

  • Not able to create a new domain through ant task

    Hi,
    I have to upgrade weblogic 8.1 to weblogic 10.3 and I am using vanilla version of it. the first step to it is to create weblogic domain and then configure it and then start teh server and then deploy it. The problem starts when I am creating the domain, I am using ant task for domain creation and following these steps
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12840_01/wls/docs103/programming/ant_tasks.html
    when ant-task is trying to build the specified domain, it is looking for some config.xml and that config.xml should also generated by wlserver/ant task through a template. I have no idea, where and how to define that template.. hence getting following error.. tried hard but not able to get through. can anyone please help..
    Thanks in Advance

  • 'Build stopped' when NWDS generate import statement in Component Controller

    Hi,
        I add method in Component Controller the code work fine if the code not require to import class. When the code need to import the class, and NWDS automatically import for them. The error occur like below while the code is complied.
    Build stopped due to an error: Compile failed; see the compiler error output for details.      [Error: com.sap.tc.buildplugin.DefaultPlugin  Thread[Worker-44,5,main]]
      I have to delete all import statements in import block like below.
    //@@begin imports
    import com.sap.demo.employee_exc__wd.wd.comp.employeecomp.wdp.IPrivateEmployeeComp;
    //@@end
    Conclusion :  The code will not be compiled if they have import statement that NWDS automatically generate.
    P.S i use NWDS7.2
    Please help me solve this issue.
    Many Thanks

    Hi John Wu,
        First of all thank for your reply.  I investigate the root cause and found that i can not import the class from another project (EJB project (Local Home or Local Object)). So i can only import JAVA lib, if i put import statement to import home interface from another EJB project, the code can not be build. What i do is
    - Add EJB project in the project build path.
    - Add EJB project in Project Reference.
    Is thay all?
    What task do i need to do more?
    There are 2 error show while compling the code.
    The 1st one :
    Compile failed; see the compiler error output for details.[EXCEPTION]

  • Is it possible to deploy a process in "OFF" state?

    Is it possible to deploy a process in "OFF" state?

    Hi Chris,
    Looking through the BPEL client API, I think it might be possible to change the process state via java code. I say might, because the documentation is not that splendid. The IBPELProcessHandle interface has a method updateMetaData which allows you to change the state, among other things. I have not tried this yet so the solution a little theoretical.Sorry for that :-\
    Then, when you have your java class working, you can create an Ant task for it and invoke your Ant task in the build.xml, right after the deployment target.
    Kind regards,
    Harm
