IIOP and firewalls - urgent help!!!

Hello there,
we have problems connecting with a Java applet to BC4J deployed as EJBs in an OracleJVM (Oracle9i AS 1.0.2) over IIOP throu a firewall. Is anyone out there who can help us? We need urgent help!!!

AFAIK, you have only three options:
1. Configure your IIOP connection to use an existing open port on the firewall (e.g., port 80 which is usually reserved for HHTP protocol) - THIS IS A BAD IDEA
2. Configure the firewall to allow inbound traffic on the IIOP port you are using (Oracle uses 2481 by default) - this is fine if you control the firewall.
3. Wrap your EJB client code in a servlet and communicate from the applet to the servlet via HTTP. This is the normal "firewall-puncturing" approach (aka "tunneling").

Are ports 1521 (for JDBC) and 2481 (for IIOP) open on your firewall? That's what my problem turned out to be.

Hello everyone,
I need your help about this. This is the first time i am going to create a validation for document no. line items.
The scenario is this:
1. I need to check if the FI document that is to be posted contains line items where BSEG-LOKKT falls within the range of 0099990000-0099999999. For each matching line item, I need to check if the credit line items balances with the debit line items. If TRUE then the validation will EXIT succesfully.
2. If an FI document contains line items where BSEG-LOKKT falls within the range of 0099990000-0099999999, but the sum of the debit line items and the credit line items is not equal to zero, validation will prevent thre user from posting the document. Error message will be raised.
3. If FI document document does not contain line items with BSEG-LOKKT ranging from 0099990000-0099999999, validation will exit successfully because there are no appropriate alternative accts to be verified.
This validation will only apply to one company code.
Please provide me with the step-by-step creation of the validation.
Points will be rewarded for helpful answers.

I am have permission problems and need urgent help!

I am running ppc G5 dual 2gig with Tiger 10.4.11. I must say that ever since I upgraded to this version from 10.4.10 my system somehow has been behaving poorly. Ist my network settings went weird in the fact that the PC (running XP service Pack 2) stopped communicating with the G5 saying that it had no access permissions.
At the time I had Michael Horns SharePoints programme on the mac handling which hard drives I wanted to share over my network. I eventually took this off as I thought this might be the problem.
I went back to my Network set up on the G5 which had been working previously and tried the network setup Diagnostic tool which told me that from the G5 end it could see the PC and the internet through my BT Broad band Voyager 220V.
At this point I clicked the pad lock icon to save the settings. Now when I want to go back in to change the settings I can't. For the simple reason that it won't respond to the password or my Name. I have tried changing the password in the Accounts section of my system Preferences it allows me to seemingly do this but tells me that as my Key chain is locked it wants my current Password and Name which it is not responding to so I am going round in circles.
As a last desperate attempt I logged out and rebooted using my Tiger System disk, went into the Change the password section and did so. There it appeared like it was allowing me to change the password at which point to be extra safe I repaired the permissions on my home drive which again said it was repairing the permissions to the new user name and password so I thought at this point I was going to be all right after it gave me the green light to tell me that my permissions and disk verification were ok. I rebooted my mac and went into my system prefs, tried to open the padlock in the network settings as before only to come across the same problems.
Something is corrupt i guess. Do I need to reload Tiger and if so anything in the reloading part of the process which asks me for my name and password is going to screw me up as I am afraid the system won't accept it. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ! And Many Thanks ahead of time.

AS3 Flashvars and getURL urgent help

I have never used flashVars, even in AS2, but the project I'm working on requires that I use since my client is going to use dynamic urls defined as expressions and he wants to have control without having to edit a fla file. I have read a lot of tutorials and can't seem to come up with a solution. Basically what I want is to load my Flashvars defined in swfObject, each one holding an expression, for example:

Right now, I have just one value pair, but I will add them as they become available. I have 11 movieclip buttons which will take you to a url defined by it's corresponding flashvar. If I was doing this is AS2, I would just add this action to the button:

How will I accomplish the same thing in as3? I know you have to get flashVars using .loaderInfo but that as far as i got.

Redeclaring the click handler function in each loop through buttons is not necessary, you'd better do it like this, with click handler outside the loop:

And the second thing - click handler. For more flashvars (or if you don't know how many flashvars will be used) you can loop throug loaderInfo.parameters object with for-in loop. The problem here is that order in for-in loop is rather random ("not guaranteed" as they nicely call it :-) ), so it complicates assigning the urls to particular buttons. I would connect here name of a flashvar (this declared in HTML) with a button:

URGENT HELP NEEDED!!! (Almost a matter of life and death)

Well, it's more of a matter of failing a course or not...
Anyway, my Java professor gave us some labs to do. I know Java front and back, at least, whatever version I learned a few years back. This is my first tenure with the Scanner object, and it's messing me up.
I'm using Eclipse for my project. I have three files in the source folder, ABC_Manufacturing.java, mseast.dat and mswest.dat. Now, when I try to instanciate a new Scanner object, it won't find the files:

I'm trying two seperate ways to do this. Neither are working, this is the error I get:

It's like it just won't take the time out to look for the files that are RIGHT IN THE DAMN PROJECT! Then I tried using a complete path, using C:\Java\whatever. SAME ERROR!!!!
Please, I need urgent help. This is due tomorrow at noon, and I have no idea what to do at this point. I can't really continue, because at this point its just looking at what prints out and formatting it, and I don't want to do that without testing to see if my code to convert the file data into arrays work. You dig? Thanks for any and all help, and I'm going to kill my professor...she spent a week going over parallel arrays but did nothing to show us how to import files into projects or use the scanner class. Also it doesn't help that at uni we have to use emacs, which I don't use at home.

Urgent help needed!! Layout table and Draw layout cell dissapeared.

I need some urgent help. I'm using CS3 but for a while my
Layout Table and Draw Layout Cell icons appear greyed and can't use
them at all. Is there any kind soul out there who knows how to fix
this? I'm going nuts trying all the possible options but none seem
to work.

URGENT HELP NEEDED ... Tomcat Realm and JRE1.4 plug-in problem

I have tried the Security Realm of Tomcat. Since I do not have
an LDAP server, I decided to use the Tomcat-users.xml file in
Tomcat\conf directory.
I added the following lines of code in the web.xml file.

So, now when we type the url: http://localhost:8080/adbpdbre/default.htm, TOMCAT shows a dialog box asking for UserName: and Password:Now, only when we give the username and password, it shows the page. This is exactly what we want.
But the problem now is, this default.htm page, has 5 links to 5 applets. The first time that I click on one of these links, the JRE plug of 1.4 shows a dialog again asking for the username and password. Till I dont provide the username and password the system doesnt go ahead and applet doesnt load. I do not want the JRE to ask me for the username/passwords again..How to avoid this ?
Can you give me some more information on this. Ultimately in the production usage, we will be using LDAP and not Tomcat's memory realm.

In the config file, you 're essentially saying that you want Tomcat to prompt for usr/passw on every request (url-pattern = /*) made by a 'webviewer', and that's exactly what Tomcat is doing.
Consider using specific url-patterns & roles for resources to be protected. If for now, all you need is to protect the first page, use a more specific url-pattern.
Just an advice : if you'll be using LDAP in production, do not waste time with Tomcat's Security Realm and the BASIC authentication type, since the two have not much in common. Start reading doc on LDAP, and code a prototype, or even better, a vertical slice of the app (i.e a proof of concept).

On trying to setup my mail, i went into my hard drive and accessed microsoft user identities, office 2011 and it shows the database but wont let me select it. Its almost as if the file is there but not accessable. I desperately need to access my old mail. How do I do this? I am fairly confident that I copied all files off my old notebook. Is there a way for me to search for the Database file? Maybe I copied it to a different location? Urgent help please.

Simplest way is to use Target Disk mode:
How to use and troubleshoot FireWire target disk mode - Apple Support
and hook to another Mac and use CCC or SuperDuper and clone your HD to another drive.
You could also pull the drive out of your MBP and use an external USB case or SATA - USB dongle to hook it to another Mac.

first, sorry if my english sucks jajaa i speach spanish, havent practice my english for a while.
first i edited my video in premier cc
sequence 1280X720, 59,94 fps
48000hz - stereo
the i linked it with dynamik link to after, make some color correction, etc etc etc
i renderd in quicktime animation
my video looks fine in my computer, but when i send my .mov video to encore (cs6) in a HD MENU and standard menú, the image sucks.
i have done the transcoding in encore, but i doesnt work either. i dont know what else to do.
