Illegal Dependencies while adding DCs across SCs in same track

Hello,
We are trying to add a DC_B (DC name) which is in SC_B, in the DC_A which is in SC_A. Both SCs are in same track. While adding in Used DCs its giving error "Illegal dependency: The compartment of package name(SCname...) must explicitly use compartment of ...".
We have added standard SCs
sap.com_SAP_JTECHS_1
sap.com_SAP-JEE_1
sap.com_SAP_BUILDT_1
sap.com_EP_BUILDT_1
in SC of DC_A. in usage dependencies of SC_A
Do we need to add SC_B in usage dependencies of SC_A ?
I dont think so because my other components are working fine in same scenario.
Please help. Am i missing anything?

You need to add SC_B as a used dependency in SC_A like you did for the standard one's.

I have created a product, software component in SLD and added the dependencies to the software component in SLD and in CMS i created a track and include the software component which i have created in SLD. For this software component SC State is not at all displaying (red, yello, green). How to change the SC state of the software component. Error while adding a used relationship between the New DC and the Web DC

Hi Gurus
We are getting the Error in NWDS while Adding a used relationship between the New DC and the Web DC.
Steps what we are Done
1. Create the custom project from inactiveDC's
2.creating the project for the component crm/b2b in SHRAPP_1
3.After that we changed the application.xml and given the contect path.
4.Then we tried to add Dependency to the custom create DC we are getting the error saying that illegal deppendency : the compartment sap.com_CUSTCRMPRJ_1 of DC sap.com/home/b2b_xyz(sap.com.CUSTCRMPRJ_1) must explicitly use compartment sap.com_SAP-SHRWEB_1 of DC sap.com/crm/isa/ like that it was throwing the error.
so, we skip this step and tried to create the build then it is saying that build is failed..
Please help us in this regard.

After ur valuble inputs we have added the required dependencies and sucessfully created the projects, then building of the projects was also sucessfully done and EAR file was created.
We need to deploy this EAR file in CRM Application Server by using the interface NWDI.
For Deploying the EAR into NWDI, we need to check-in the activites what i have created for EAR. once i check-in the activites ,the NWDI will deploy the EAR into CRM Application Server.
In the Activity Log we are able to check the Activities as Suceeded but the Deployment column is not showing any status.
When i right click on my activity Id the deployment summery is also disabled.
So finally my Question is that where can i get the deployment log file, and where can i check the deployment status for my application..
Any pointers in this regard would be of great help..

Illegal dependency while using a DC from one Software Component in another

<u><b>SCENARIO</b></u>
I have a Software Product (<b>e.g. SP1</b>) with 2 Software Components (e.g. <b>SC1, SC2</b>) defined in the SLD. Now, we have defined a track with these software components (as per the correct procedure).
This Development configuration was imported into NWDS and we have developed 2 WebDynPro Development Components under each of these Software Components (e.g. <b>DC1 in SC1</b> ; <b>DC 2 in S</b>C2).
All works fine and everything is smooth till now.
<u><b>The ISSUE</b></u>
When I try to use DC1 of SC1 as a used component in DC2 of SC2, I get an error.
The exact step: In NWDS-> DC2, I go to USED DCs -> Add Used DC and try to add DC1's public part (all as per correct procedure),
<b>I get the following error:
Illegal dependency: The compartment of com.test/xss/dc2(com.test_SC1) must explicitly use compartment of com.test/xss/dc1</b>
This error comes only if <b>DC1 is in SC1</b> and <b>DC2 is in SC2</b>. If 2 DCS are in the same SC (eg: <b>DC1 and DC2 to SC1</b>), then the error does not come.
Should we configure any compartment or other data in CBS/CMS?
Please help.

In the SLD, has a dependency been setup between SC1 and SC2? If not, you will have to add this dependency, which is done in the same way as adding the initial SAP_JTECHS,
SAP_BUILDT and SAP-JEE dependencies to the SC.
Once the SC1 has been added to SC2, you will have to go to the Landscape Configurator (link is in the CMS), go to the Domain Data tab and click on Update CMS. Next, go to the Track Data tab, add the new SC and then click on Synchronize SC Dependencies. Click on the Save button and then do a "Save and Restore".

I am activating structure and removing hide field check box also in RSA6 transaction. But when we are executing transaction RSA3 (Both Delta & Full load ) it is giving us IMPORT_ALIGNMENT_MISMATCH dump. we have removed all the queues from SMQ1 using program RMBWV302 before making changes. All modified fields should be in new append structure not in any old append structure sue to new field need new space allocation.

Error while adding a custom field with Input help via AET

Hi All,
I need to add two custom field under Service orders at Item level in component BT140I_SRVP.
One field is required to have the input search help f4 and autopopulates the second field
I am able to add one field(not requiring help) successfully through AET .
I have created one Zsearch_help in se11 and its successfully running and Autopopulating seocnd field while I am testing it
While adding second field through AET,I need to enter following details as -
field label,search relevant ,serach help etc.
When I type the name of my 'Zsearch_help' against field search help it gives me following error
'Search help is not compatible'.
Secondly,not getting getter and setter methods for the attrributes in BTAdminI.
Last,please tell me if i create zhelp and activate it,would it automatically appear in the list on AETwhile assiging it to input field?
Please help me out.Kindly be detailed as I am new to SAP CRM.

Getting error while adding a custom field (with input help) through AET

Error while adding a webpart to a sharepoint

I need some help with adding a custom web part to the landing page. I created a new wsp file for the web part and tried to add it as a solution into the web galleries of the site settings. But I am unable to invoke this web part and it throws an error, “The
site collection containing this sandboxed solution has exceeded its daily resource usage quota”
The web part appears within the custom web part section when I try to add it into the page. As an FYI, I tries to modify the quotas and locks of the template being used within the site collection-> modify quotas and lock of the central administration
and have increased Sandboxed resource solution quota to 300 points but still it somehow doesn’t appear to change while adding the web part.
What am I doing wrong here?

Well, the issue was that while updating the quotas and locks for the sharepoint site I needed to select the web application and not the web farm. The resource did get increased to 300 points at the farm level but as I was using a sandboxed application
to be added as a web part, the target should have been the web application. I corrected this and then added the solution to the sharepoint and activated the solution. After which I was able to include the web part into the site. Hope this helped, do let me
know if anyone needs any further explanation.

I am getting the following error while adding record into the table CM_RECIPE_ITEM :

Error While Adding a Software Component

Hi All,
While adding a software component in the SLD, i am getting the below error. Can anybody please suggest me the possible reason for the same.
Storing changes to persistence failed. Please check both your J2EE engine and database are in a healthy running state. (Error: CIM_ERR_FAILED: [NWMss][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Could not allocate space for object 'BC_SLD_CHANGELOG' in database 'X7A' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full.)
Also i would like to know what is a software unit in a SLD??

Error while adding a job to scheduler

Hello,
I have a batch job that is running fine in both DEV and QA environment. In DEV, I am able to schedule and run it daily. I created a similar schedule in QA environment using BODS Mgmt Console/Administrator. However, upon Activating the schedule, I am getting the following error message. Would someone know why would this error be thrown and steps to troubleshoot this error?

When contacting the server above exception was encountered, so it will be assumed the schedule is not active anymore.

Hi Rizwan Tahir ,
Delete the job server associated with the current batch job and recreate it.
Then try creating a new schedule using the new job server.
And take care that job server is created in QA environment.

I checked all data. There is no such dataset in the database. Can anybody give me a hint how to avoid this error.
One thing I wonder: The PermanentId is allways the same but I can´t do anything here.

Hi Ritam,
For such issues, can you please create a new thread or directly email the author rather than dragging back up a very old thread, it is unlikely that the resolution would be the same as the database/application/etc releases would most probably be very different.

                        We are now on SRM 5.5 and a document attached shows the
                        patch levels
                        from SPAM.
                        In shop transaction, it is possible to change the
                        default approvers,
                        but not possible to Add.
                        When we add, the system shows the list of available
                        approvers, allows
                        selection, but "transfer" button does not actually
                        transfer.
                        When the cart is saved, the added approval shows as "no
                        approval
                        available".
                        We are using the standard workflows for 2 step approval.
                        A document is attached to show what happens and the
                        results of checks
                        we have performed.
                        BUS2121 also shows as ok when checked.
Any pointers what could be possible reasons.

The external credentials in the SSO database are more recent --- Receiving this error while adding entries to SSO database.

Hi,
This error generally arises when your system datetime is not in sync with the Domain Controller datetime. Try following steps:
1. Check if the Windows Time Service is running on your machine or not. Try restarting this service and then restart host instances. Then run your script.
2. If this does not works, have a look at this
