Are you calling the right path?

    Enforcement states for a deployment report status is not refresh.
    We have deployed patches by software update and monitoring status by checking report
    Enforcement states for a deployment. We have observed status difference in report and in actual PC. Status of One PC is
    Downloaded update in report  but actually that patch was
    installed on PC.
    why this difference and what is the solution to solve this.

    Hi Garth - I don't recreate the SU group. I recreate the deployment from
    the SU group.
    The SU Group contains all deployed updates and the deployment is a "catch-up" and targets a collection of all clients on the particular platform ie. Server 2008 R2. It's a mandatory deployment and I've set it to report "all messages" as opposed to the default
    "success and failure".
    There's no particular SU that are showing ESU. It's the client that shows ESU via the report "Enforcement States for a Deploymennt", and it's only ever the clients that were "Pending System Restart" previously that change to "Enforcement State
    Unknown". The software centre on these clients all know they're pending restart, and if the pending restart is performed on the client it will then change to "Compliant", but it never changes from ESU while its real state is "Pending Restart".
    Hopefully that clarifies the scenario.
    Like I said, I have a workaround, but I'd like to eliminate this behaviour on all my SCCM 2012 instances which are all affected.

  • Enforcement States for multiple deployment ID's

    I would like to have a report for the enforcement states of multiple deployment ID's. I have tried manipulating the default "States 1 - Enforcement states for a deployment" to have multiple default values but have not succeeded in getting
    the report to run.
    In our Software Updates we have multiple collections targeting specific groups of computers and then we have specific update groups within specific date ranges deployed to those collections. In some cases I have multiple deployments targeting the same collection
    and thus the want to have a single report for the enforcement status of multiple deployment ID's.
    Unfortunatley my level of SQL reporting is minimal, does anyone have knowledge of a report or query to use multiple deployment ID's for returning the enforcement states?

  • Please clarify on Illegal state exception

    Dear All pl explain Illegal state exception occurs in some program why. and what is the solution.

    Hi,
    This exception is thrown when a method is invoked at an illegal or inappropriate time or if the provider is not in an appropriate state for the requested operation.
    In servlets, for example, you have a method forward() in the RequestDispatcher class, which forwards the request to another resource for processing. This method should be called before the response is committed, else it throws IllegalStateException.

  • Illegal start of operation, yes I am a student.

    OK, here is the code I'm haveing trouble with.
    public class payments {
    public static void main(String[] args)
    for(double L = 100000;<=200000;L=L+20000)
    for(double r=.060;<=.10;r=r+.005)
    double temp = 1+r/12;
    double temp1 = 1;
    for(int i = 1; i<=12*N;i++)
    temp1 = temp1*temp;
    double mp = (L*(r/12)*temp1)/(temp1-1);
    Sysem.out.println (mp);
    I know there is a way to add this in a seperate box but I don't know how. if you could tell me how to do that that would be great too.
    Any way, I keep getting "illegal start of operation" errors on the first two "if" statements. can someone tell me why? thank you.

    I see a bit more.
    for(double L = 100000;<=200000;L=L+20000)
    for(double r=.060;<=.10;r=r+.005)should probably read
    for(double L = 100000;L<=200000;L=L+20000)
    for(double r=.060;r<=.10;r=r+.005)

  • VLD-1119: Unable to generate Multi-table Insert statement for some or all t

    Hi All -
    I have a map in OWB 10.2.0.4 which is ending with following error: -
    VLD-1119: Unable to generate Multi-table Insert statement for some or all targets.*
    Multi-table insert statement cannot be generated for some or all of the targets due to upstream graphs of those targets are not identical on "active operators" such as "join".*
    The map is created with following logic in mind. Let me know if you need more info. Any directions are highly appreciated and many thanks for your inputs in advance: -
    I have two source tables say T1 and T2. There are full outer joined in a joiner and output of this joined is passed to an expression to evaluate values of columns based on
    business logic i.e. If T1 is available than take T1.C1 else take T2.C1 so on.
    A flag is also evaluated in the expression because these intermediate results needs to be joined to third source table say T3 with different condition.
    Based on value taken a flag is being set in the expression which is used in a splitter to get results in three intermediate tables based on flag value evaluated earlier.
    These three intermediate tables are all truncate insert and these are unioned to fill a final target table.
    Visually it is something like this: -
    T1 -- T3 -- JOINER1
    | -->Join1 (FULL OUTER) --> Expression -->SPLITTER -- JOINER2 UNION --> Target Table
    | JOINER3
    T2 --
    Please suggest.

    I verified that their is a limitation with the splitter operator which will not let you generate a multi split having more than 999 columns in all.
    I had to use two separate splitters to achieve what I was trying to do.
    So the situation is now: -
    Siource -> Split -> Split 1 -> Insert into table -> Union1---------Final tableA
    Siource -> Split -> Split 2 -> Insert into table -> Union1

  • How to consolidate the financial statements for 3 company codes, assigned t

    Hi Friends,
    How to consolidate the financial statements for 3 company codes, assigned to 3 different companies, 3 different fiscal years, 3 different controlling areas and all the 3 Company Codes assigned to same chart of accounts in the same client?
    Can we need any ABAP program for this (or) Is it possible using Report Painter?
    Please help me.
    Thanks

    Hi friend,
    Is it a real-time situation or something you are visualising ?
    For consolidation, you can use a group chart of accounts and select that in the operative chart of accounts for consolidation purposes.  This would work provided the company codes use the same operative chart of accounts and fiscal year.
    I hope the above would be helpful to you.

    I don't know that this is the root cause of your problem, but it certainly could be. When comparing two strings, you need to use the .equals() method, not ==.
    (except in the null case, where checking for null with == is perfectly okay).
    if (ViewProtectedPage.getValue("trycount").equals("1")
    ..etc
    Some other notes... use if/else if/else rather than a whole bunch of ifs, since all your statements are mutually exclusive. Maybe even put those lower ifs inside your outer "else" since you're obviously not going to reach them after a sendRedirect(). On that same note, place a return; after the sendRedirect() to state that the rest of the page need not be loaded/executed.

  • Illegal State Exception in JSP login

    I had a working log in/check password systems for a low security application. User types in username and password and this is sent to the checkpassword.jsp. Using Server variables I counted the number of attempts and if it was more than three, they were not allowed to try again that session. When I moved this page to newer version of Tomcat running in Apache rather than over IIS, my simple counting function no longer works and I can't for the life of me understand why I'm getting an Illegal State Exception with the following code:
    java.sql.ResultSet RS=statement.executeQuery("Select WUUSER, WUPWD FROM WEBUSER WHERE WUUSER='"+ (request.getParameter("username").toUpperCase()) + "' AND WUPWD= '" + (request.getParameter("password")) +"'");

    UserSession.putValue("username",(request.getParameter("username")).toUpperCase());

    ViewProtectedPage.putValue("trycount","3");
    response.sendRedirect("loadtrackbadlogin.html");
    if (ViewProtectedPage.getValue("trycount")=="3") {
    response.sendRedirect("noentry.html");
    RS.close();
    It works fine if the user uses the proper username and password but crashes on me if they use the wrong info. I think it has something to do with my initialization of the user variables.

    I don't know that this is the root cause of your problem, but it certainly could be. When comparing two strings, you need to use the .equals() method, not ==.
    (except in the null case, where checking for null with == is perfectly okay).
    if (ViewProtectedPage.getValue("trycount").equals("1")

  • Invalid Location for operator while batch mapping

    Hi,
    I am using 10.2g version of OWB and while deploying the batch mapping, I am getting errors like:
    "VLD-1134: Invalid location for operator DATE_REF_SEQ_0.
    Configured location for operator does not exist or is not a valid location under the referenced module."
    The "DATE_REF" is one of the tables in the database. Similarly, I am getting error for many of these operators while i try to deploy the batch mapping. Could you please help us on how can we change the location of these operators in the design center/control center?
    Thanks,
    Vipul

    Hi ,
    VLD-1134 error comes when the location in configuration properties is not set or pointing to a different location.
    This generally happens when you migrate OWB code from 1 server to another or from 1 version to another.
    Goto your OWB 10.2 Designer .
    Towards right side you will find Connection Explorer
    Create new location pointing to your database ( If location is already available then note down the name )
    Now on your Source module set the metadata location and data location . You can do this by double clicking onto the module name .
    Do the same for your Target module .
    You need to set the location for Streams Administrator and Location from module Configuration .
    Thanks,
    Sutirtha

  • What is the state of JavaFX Deployment?

    I did a search for deployment, self-contained apps, etc and found not a single thread in this forum about these topics.
    I watched Mastering Java Deployment from JavaOne 2012 and I've proposed that my company leverage these technologies for our product to simplify our deployment to Enterprise customers.
    I've done a lot of reading of the Java Deployment blog (https://blogs.oracle.com/talkingjavadeployment/) but it appears to have been abandoned when Igor Nekrestyanov left Oracle for Intel in Nov 2012.
    Here is the latest update from that blog:
    +"> fx:platform doesn't support the "basedir" attribute+
    +Please use JDK8 builds from http://jdk8.java.net/download.html+
    +Due to change of release plans some changes had been postponed till next 7u update and will NOT be available in 7u10. Packaging changes are among them.+
    +Posted by Igor on October 29, 2012"+
    Specifically what features were postponed out of Java 7u10?
    It just says 'packaging changes'?
    Which packaging changes were postponed?
    If we plan to use JavaFX packaging to create a self-contained app from a Swing application, will that not work in Java 7u10 and is it implemented in the current JDK 8 builds?
    Can you confirm whether or not this will work in any version of Java 7?
    There is now more up to date documentation here (http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2/deployment/jfxpub-deployment.htm). It says last update was April 2013, but indicates that the information applies to JavaFX 2.2.21 and not JavaFX 8. It covers self-contained applications and using JavaFX in Swing applications, but it is not completely clear to me that packaging Swing applications with JavaFX 2.2.21 is supported.
    Where can I go to find the latest updates on JavaFX deployment now that the Blog is dead?
    Will there be talks at JavaOne 2013? I really need to get updates on the latest state of JavaFX deployment before then.
    Note: I posted comments on the blog and was told that I had to wait for moderator approval, but it has been many days now without those comments being posted. So I'm not sure that there is an active moderator.
    Thank you.

    @bouye
    If you have time, you may wish to create feature requests against the deployer in the JavaFX jira for some of the items in your post.
    Note that some of your requests such as pre-post packaging scripts might not ever be implemented in the deployment tools (or would only be implemented as a loose shell like the maven rpm plugin), but might be delegated to some of the package specific packaging tools which the JavaFX deployment tools delegate too (for example the rpmbuild tool for rpm scripts).
    While the JavaFX 2 branch is pretty much receiving very few updates now and most of the development effort is on JavaFX 8, I think a bunch of fixes and feature enhancements to the deployment tools will be added in a forthcoming JavaFX 2.2.40 release.  There are 55 deployment issues addressed for 2.2.40.  Some of those fixes were performed six months ago, so it is frustrating that it takes so long for Oracle to officially release them - they did seem to be making such good progress on this a year ago.  If you accept or work around some of the warts in the self-contained application packaging process, the tools work pretty well (at least for me).
    You can also find the deployment issues scheduled for Lombard (JavaFX 8.0).  Most of the stuff you mention is not in there I think, also I think a lot of the deployment tasks which are not currently completed will likely end up getting dropped from the Lombard release as JavaFX 8 goes through a feature freeze and restricted high priority bug fix lockdown.
    It may be worth investigating 3rd party tools such as the JavaFX maven plugin or JavaFX gradle plugin, you can log feature requests (or contribute code) against those projects for additional features you require - the features might end up getting deployed quicker (as long as capable people are willing and have time to work on them) than trying to integrate into the main JavaFX deployment tool code.  The JavaFX maven plugin has picked up 54 stars and 13 forks on github, so it is a mildly active project.

  • Prepared/Active state for a Resource adatper.

    Hi All,
    I am deploying a resource adapter and as soon as the adapter is deployed, though the weblogic page shows it to be in "Prepared" state but it gets started.
    If I click on the "Start" button and the weblogic page shows it to be in "Active" state.
    What does "Prepared" and "Active" state for a resource adapter signify?
    And after this I am unable to stop the resource adatper. Clicking on the "Stop" button makes the status back to to "Prepared" but I can see the adapter still connected to the EIS.
    So how to stop a resource adapter?

    Hi,
    Thanks for the replies.
    Rajesh,
    The 2 comps. are different manager servers on the same domain. The WL passwords are
    the same.
    Emmanuel,
    The reason for using non-TX datasources is, because it is not possible to have 2
    tx DSs in the same transaction. It gives us an error when we attempt to do that.
    We use CMP or else we would like to start our TXs and end our Txs. Is there a way
    around it.
    Let me know if you need any more information. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
    Sincerely,
    Narayan.

    If yes, make sure the system password for the WLS instances are the same.

    I must admit this exception is at best funny-looking. I don't understandit.
    But if I may ask, why aren't you using a TX datasource? Is it becauseyour
    database is not XA? If that's the case you can emulate XA with TX
    datasources.
    Another question is, why would anyone use a non-TX datasource? ;-)
