Im stuck on trying to call another script

I have a script that I want to excute another script that places phone calls. I have both scripts done but my main script is not excuting my phone call script. From what I have read on the forum the highlighted line is what i think is what im supposed to do but it does not seem to be working. Sorry if this is a dumb question I am new at UCCX scripting.

Matt, I don't see what you are talking about when you say "the highlighted line."
Also, you didn't mention how your calling the second script from the first one. I wonder if you meant to upload a screenshot?

Use subflow or redirect step when calling another script

I have a main AA script and it calls another script when caller press option 6. When a caller presss 6 it is only transferring the call to the sub script. it does not return any values to the main script.
In this situation, is it better to use subflow or redirect step. i am think redirect step but just want to check with the user community.

Either will work. Here are a few thoughts to consider in no particular order:
Subflows count toward the originally triggered scripts' maximum step count. If you have a lot of steps, this may result in an exception. Redirecting the call restarts this counter since the newly triggered script will have its own counter.
NOTE: You might think that this is exactly why the Trigger Application step in Synchronous mode was created for. Alas, there is a bug which renders this useless in 7.0(1): CSCtd72562
Redirecting the call will result in the user hearing ringback. This would occur because of the recommended two-second delay step following the Accept step of a step to prevent a race condition. I find this to be irritating enough to shy away from it mid-way through an IVR if possible.
Subflows are more difficult to debug. You need to have sufficient code embedded in them such that you can trigger and reactively debug them.
Be sure that the redirect destination of an actual CCX Trigger (CTI Route Point). Do not set it to a value in UCM that is translated or forwarded back to CCX. This results in a race condition which CCX does not handle well.
If you were asking me as an individual my answer would be this: Is the code small enough and not reused elsewhere? If yes, then put it in the first script and avoid this topic all together. If it's reused in a bunch of places from multiple scripts and does not represent a large quantity of steps: use a subflow. Otherwise use Trigger Application if you're on a new enough version or Call Redirect if you're not.

Bash - calling another script's variables

Can I refer to and alter one scripts variables from another, as I with functions?
Is it something like
source other_script
...and then just referring to the variable by name?

yes. When you source it, you get everything from that script -just as if it were copied and pasted to the one you are running currently.

When server start, get "Waiting for another script to finish..." message and doesn't go anywhere.

Hello, my engineer (Japanese) is trying to start AdobeMediaServer but he got stuck after getting "Waiting for another script to finish..." message. Any idea how to resolve this situation?

Form exits when calling another form

I have a form that passes parameters to another form. When creating new records and then calling the other form, it works fine. However, when coming from a post query and then passes parameters to a new form, the form exits upon calling of the other form. What causes this? Thanks for your help. I am using Forms Developer 6.0

My form is intermittent, when creating new records, sometimes the other form is called and parameters are passed but sometimes nothing happens and there are no errors. But from post query, calling another form and passing parameters exits the calling form and the called form does not show up. This form calls another form and passes some parameters without problems but when I tried to call another one, those scenarios happen. I am confused because the codes on both my When-Button-Pressed trigger are 100% similar. I dont know why this happens on this one and NEVER on the other. I hope you understand my query. Thanks a lot for responding. Please help.

Calling Ant script from Jdeveloper

Hello Gurus,
I am trying to call Ant script from Jdeveloper.
I am able to call it when i don't use any javac in ant script.
But as soon as i include a javac command

I get below error
C:\ant\windows\svn\AntJava\Project1\build.xml:20: Unable to find a javac compiler;
com.sun.tools.javac.Main is not on the classpath.
Perhaps JAVA_HOME does not point to the JDK.
It is currently set to "C:\Oracle\jdk160_24\jre"
Needless to say i already have implemented all the steps mentioned in the internet.
I have my JAVA_HOME correctly set in my PATH environment variable.
I have tools.jar in the CLASSPATH
Please give a solution from JDeveloper perspective and not a generic one as i am done with all the steps provided in internet.

Hi Nagaraju,
First and foremost, You should have a QTP installed in your system.
You should have a licence to use QTP in ECA.
Then, You should create a script for every QTP script you have and refext them in one of your master scripts or where ever you want to refer them.
While create an eCATT for a QTP Script, give a name, version(optional) and the QTP option in the external Tool field. Enter your script and give the mandatory fields like title, Component and then press on button "Script" and brouse to the QTP script location.,
Save your ecatt and use it anywhere as you use your general scripts, but remember to use REFEXT instead of REF to call your QTP encbled eCATT scripts.

Calling PERL script from scheduler

Hello All,
I am trying to call PERL script from dbms_scheduler which makes the database connection using DBD module to read some values to perform the operation. My scheduler job kept failing with the following error:
ORA-27369: job of type EXECUTABLE failed with exit code: No such file or directory
STANDARD_ERROR="install_driver(Oracle) failed: Can't load '/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/x86_64-linux-thread-multi/auto/DBD/Oracle/Oracle.so' for module DBD::Oracle: libclntsh.so.10.1: cannot open shared object file
It can't open libclntsh.so.10.1 file when I run the job, I guess because in job session, it creates a new shell and doesn't inherit the .profile and none of the environmental variables get set. When I run the PERL script manually it works because of all the env variables, so I put all those variables from my .profile into PERL script itself using ENV function but it still doesn't work, failed with very same error. And yes I do set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to point to $ORACLE_HOME/lib directory. Moreover, if I run the PERL script manually from a shell where I dont inherit .profile, it fails with very same error, so it is related to the environment issues but I have no idea how to fix it. I read somewhere the setting those env variable in PERL script itself doesn't help because by the time PERL get executed all the compilers are already initialized and and they don't use those environement variables anymore then. So the question is how to make it work?
I would really appreciate if someone can help me fixing this, it's gonna change my life here :)
DB Version: 10.2.0.2 (also tested on 11R2, same problem)
OS: SUSE Linux 64 bit

Calling ant script from another's project ant script

I would like to ask something about ant script. Sorry if this is not the right forum but I could not find a better one.
I have 2 projects ProjectA and ProjectB in 2 different direcory structures, that contain 2 different build.xml files. I am trying to call ant of ProjectA inside the build.xml file of ProjectB like the following:

        </target>Unfortunately I get a different output than calling ant for Project A from the command prompt. Shouldn't this call to ant for ProjectA from ProjectB be exactly the same as calling ant from the command Prompt

the problem is not that it does not file the xml file (although you re right, I changed it) but that later on in the building it behaves differently
So, basically, what I want to know, is this the right way I am doing it or the two approaches are different cause in my approach ant is not called from the project's directory but from another ant script?

PHP script calling another but staying on same page

Hi,
Im thinking of writing an additional PHP page, that has a link to another PHP page, to do an insert. On the current PHP page, I have a counter which I would want incrementing after the 2nd PHP script is called, but don't think its possible?
I'm saying this as I will need an anchor to another script which when called, will load another PHP script - which will do the insert, but take me away from the current page.
So basically, I want to stay on the first PHP script showing a counter, click to call another PHP script, but all the user will see is a counter increment.
Here is what I have thought will not work:

Can we call another flavor using launch button or script button

I am creating a Welcome screen ( 1st flavor for SMEN transaction) . However I want to call another flavor ( 2nd flavor for SMEN transaction) from 1st flavor . Second flavor will have a few transactions ( for example which are used only for budgeting , so this flavor will work as a budget cockpit) . I know we can make both flavors available in users' flavor bar , but we really wanted to give them a push button which takes them to this new flavor . This is less confusing for users . Is there a way to do that ?
Or is there a way to call Favorite folder ?

I tried doing what you suggested , but I am not able to point to the new flavor .I guess there is no control ID for a flavor and Dynpro screen for SMEN flavor are all same .
I am not able to open up just this new flavor , my link opens up to the same welcome screen with all flavors in flavor bar.

It used to be the case that my carrier would put a beep at the end of the ring tone if the person you were calling was on another call. But they stopped it ages ago.

I've created a customized menu and at the instance of me selecting a menu, a VI should load itself dynamically. I am using call by reference. Sometimes it works and sometimes it won't. In short, what I want to achieve is load VIs dynamically and close them dynamically once they finish executing. Thanks !

You might want to try to better understand shell script programming. It makes it otherwise difficult for a poster to recommend you a solution. I don't believe you can expect others to do all the development and testing work for you. Since this is a forum on a volunteer basis, you might also want to consider marking helpful replies and review received answers more carefully.

Using CURL, like I suggested in my first reply was an easier solution, since you don't need to to script Expect, but it turns out that you might need Enterprise Linux 6 or install at least CURL verison 7.19 to support sftp.
