Image in header of PDF - Web Template

Hi guys,
My client want's to have the company logo in header of PDF generated of web template how can i achieve the same.
If i go through the Export wizard in the web template then i have limited options for header display wherein i can't set image in header. Is there any function's or something else which can help me to display image in header.
Please help.

You can create print versions of BI applications. To do this, you first export the selected Web application in PDF format. You can then print the PDF version. A dialog is provided to support you in creating print versions. You use this dialog to specify the layout of the print version.
Note that when printing Web applications, it is only possible to export and print the following Web items:
●      Analysis
●      Chart
●      Maps
●      Report
●      Information Field
●      List of Exceptions
●      List of Conditions
●      Text
You cannot print MIME objects or other Web items. If you want to print MIME objects (such as logos) that you have inserted into a Web template, you must insert the relevant MIME object into the Web application by using the Report Web item.

How to display embedded image & text in content presenter web template

We have a requirement to display both text and embedded image together like in WYSIWYG editor in Webcenter spaces. The content has to be dynamic and is context sensitive so that users in the same role can edit and publish the content. The users who are in different role would see different piece of content.
To achieve this use case, i think Content Presenter enabled with Site studio is the best choice. I have created element and region definitions with WYSIWYG and region templates in site studio. Created contributor data file in UCM. Content Presenter in webcenter is configured with that region definition and the region template etc.
At design time, the contributor data file is edited and some image / text is added in WYSIWYG editor.. But however at runtime view, i could see only the text added in WYSIWYG editor and the file name of the image embedded....Any one successfully used Content Presenter with Site studio???

Web template image cache

goodmorning everybody,
does anybody know where I can clear the image cache when running a web template.. It keeps displaying the old image even though I replaced the image with a new one in the mime repository...

- WAD menu tools -> setting -> delete cache -> delete cache
- delete browser cache (Internet Explorer or other)
and
- SMICM->go to->HTTP server cache->invalidate->golbal in system
or transaction rsrt -> cache monitor -> delete
- transaction RSRCACHE

Flexible web template image not resizing

I have created a flexible web template using div tags. This is very basic layout. Header,menubar, sidebar ,content, and footer. I am having a problem with images in the flexible content area. If I resize the page the image does not resize. I have placed the image inside a div tag but it is not flexible like the content div tag. I want to be able to resize the page and have the images resize as I drag the page over. Any ideas on this ?

The simplest way to fill a liquid division is to make a small image tile and repeat it in background with CSS code:
Example:

Header and footer in Web Template output

Hi,
I have created a web template consisting of several web items like - information field, text fields, chart & analysis. With the help of VC we are exporting this web page into PDF. What my customer want is that to show some particular informatio in the footer like page number's company name and all.
Is there any option that i can do all these things from my end that is from BW end not from VC..
Any help will be appreciated.

Fix table header line of Query in default web template WAD 7.0

Dear all,
I would appreciate if somebody could help me to set parameters to fix the header line of a Web-Item DataProvider (Query) in the default web template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN for the BEx Web Analyser. I mean I want to see the header line with the characteristics and key figures description even if I scroll down in the query.
My idea was to create a second frame in the template and to fill it with the same DataProvider just with the header of the Query. The problem is that the performance of the query would be badder if we load two Dataprovider/Query instead of one.

Thank you very much for your answer! I have tried to find a paramter in the web application designer to do that, but without success. Now I have included a new container with the same Analysis Web Item, but it does not function! May you have a better idea??

Inserting an Image in a Web Template

Hi,
I have to insert the clients logo as a default into my web template. But when I went to INSERT and choose IMAGE in the web template the source only showed me the SAP logo. Where can i insert/create the client's logo and have it in my web template.

Hi,
You have to copy the logo in MIME repository first.In SE80 select MIME Repository-> Expand SAP-> BW-> Expand Customer and then right-click select Import MIME objects and give the path where ur logo is stored,It will copy into repository.While creating we-template give the above path.System only reads images from MIME repository.By default SAP logo is stored in repository,thats why it displaying that.

Header links in the web template is not working

I have a created webtemplete in that, header links in the web template is not working. But individually header links. I am not why they are not working in webtemplete.

Hi Bob,
There are many XML schema files for the data connection, I recommend to check if the references to the XML files have been changed to the new schema files in the manifest file.
For example, if we create a data connection called GetUserProfileByName, then there will be one XML file and three XML schema files for the data connection.
Please make sure that all the references are updated in the manifest file.

Q: Freeze header row in BI7 web template...

Hi Experts,
I have created a web template in BI7, and I would like to freeze the header row so that when I scroll down, I can still see the name of the different columns.
Does anybody know if/how this can be done?

And before SPS13, i frame is useful to realize what you want to do. Using 2 "Analysis" web item. and display of 1st analysis web item is restricted only thin the header of the table and the 2nd Analysis web item is used as "table". display of this "analysis" is also restricted to 10 - 30 rows.

Convert SEM-BPS Web Templates to PDF

Hi everyone, one of my clients is requesting to convert all his SEM-BPS 3.5 Web Templates to PDF files dynamically.
I've already make a research on SDN an found several post about converting ABAP objects to PDF format (like <a href="/people/sap.user72/blog/2004/11/10/bsphowto-generate-pdf-output-from-a-bsp).
The thing is that I'm not an ABAP guy, my expertise is on JAVA.
I've just want to know if any of you have already found a successful alternative method to convert these web templates on PDF files using any Java techniques available.

Insert an image in header and export to PDF/Excel WAD

Hi experts!
I'm trying to create a Web template for one of my queries with the WAD.
I've added a table at the top, containing a logo and One custom text. Below that table, I've added a CONTAINER_LAYOUT_ITEM, and in this element, I've added different item, like BUTTON_GROUP_ITEM, INFO_FIELD_ITEM, NAVIGATION_PANE_ITEM and ANALISYS_ITEM, related with one query.
One of the buttons I've created one with the action EXPORT but in the Data Binding secction, only the items (BUTTON_GROUP_ITEM, INFO_FIELD_ITEM, NAVIGATION_PANE_ITEM and ANALISYS_ITEM) are shown. So I can't select the table I've created for the export.
I've tried to put the table in one CONTAINER_ITEM, and the select it in the export command, but it doesn't work.
Does anybody any idea about how to inlcude the logo and the Title in the PDF or Excel export??

I'm confused, you are returning a GIF, not a PDF in the code below, but you are telling the client you are returning a JPEG.

Web Template Heading as variable per URL parameter?????

Hi,
is it possible to give the Heading/Title of a BW web template by giving over the (wished text) as parameter value in the the URL.
As far as i could find out, with the standard web Objects available in the Web Application Designer it is not possible. (May be i am wrong but all i could see was the BW Objects with the value relating to the Query objects. Whereas a simple Template heading has noting to do with any QueryObject)
Is there any other way of doing this? Maybe Java Script?

Hi,
the best approach to do this (would also work with bookmarks, ....). Set a caption of a web item where the caption is not displayed and add in your url the command sequence &cmd_1=item%3dYourItem%26caption%3dYourtitle
Then use the SAPBWGetItemProp function to get the caption.

NO header detail appears when downloading to excel from web template

When we run our queries via a web template and through the portal we get the results which shows the query title and report details. When we try to download this to excel the header(report title etc. )information doesn't come down but all the rest of the report does. If we go in again and change the variable values for characteristics (query is being changed and run the web template (via portal)again and download to excel the header (report title etc.)the whole report title and report detail now appear. Looking for someone who has resolved this problem.

For anyone who is interested, this was caused by our email client, not BIP.
