Image in Matrix

Hi All,
Can anybody suggest me how to retrive image in Matrix column. I used following code on Matrix. I saved image in databse of specific item. Image saved in Database. In val4 i retrive that image in matrix but it is not work. Itemcode and Itemename shows in matrix properly. But image third column not shows but that image only name shows in # column.
Can anybody tell where i am wrong to retrive the image ?

Hi Harish,
When adding the column to the matrix that will hold this image, have you set the column type to Picture?
Set oColumn = oColumns.Add("F", it_PICTURE)
You can find the enumeration for all column types in the SDK help file under the Add method of the columns collection.
Hope this is useful to you,

Niall

  • How to show image in matrix by selecting matrix column type as "it_PICTURE"

    Hi All!
    Can i show image in matrix, by selecting matrix column type as "it_PICTURE". If yes please write the steps.
    Thanks & Regards
    Surojit

    Hi
    First you have to set the matrix column type as it_PICTURE then bind that column to a userdatasource or dbdatasource. In the following code I am using userdatasource . This code will   set the picture to a sepecified columns first row. Please create small image and paste it in your c drive (15X15 size image-- "c:\pic.png")
    Dim oColumn As SAPbouiCOM.Column
                Dim mtxDisp As SAPbouiCOM.Matrix = form.Items.Item("mtxDisp").Specific
                form.DataSources.UserDataSources.Add("udsPic", BoDataType.dt_SHORT_TEXT, 254)
                oColumn = mtxDisp.Columns.Item("colPic")
                oColumn.DataBind.SetBound(True, "", "udsPic")
                mtxDisp.AddRow()
                mtxDisp.GetLineData(1) '*Loads UserDataSources from line X*'
                mtxDisp.DataSources.UserDataSources("udsPic").ValueEx = "c:\pic.png"
                mtxDisp.SetLineData(1) '*Sets Matrix line X based on current UserDataSource values*'
    Hope this helps

  • How to create a 16-bit grayscale image from matrix of values

    Hello all,
    I'm having a problem converting a series of measurements into a specific image. I have a matrix of nxm dimensions (n and m variable), which contains measurement data. My intention is to transform this matrix into an image to be analyzed later on by an external software. The trick, however, is that the image has to be in 16-bit grayscale format: in grayscale for doing the image processing, and 16 bits to make sure that resolution is not hindered.
    I've been looking around the web and still haven't found a way of somehow mapping the measurement values I have in that matrix into pixels (16-bit grayscale ones, that is). I have access to the Full Development System version of LabView, but not other toolboxes.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi everyone,
    I've managed to get it to work thanks to some help from people on other forums. The key is to use the IMAQ driver, which gives the VIs necessary to create images on 16-bit grayscale (only supported nicely by PNG format apparently).
    The discussion on the other forum can be found here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11101420/structure-of-16-bit-grayscale-image-to-be-generated-in-c...

  • Image Processing in C#

    What I want to do is as in the following.
    1. Load image from jpg/bmp file and display on the PictureBox or any other image control keeping image ratio
    2. Perform Image Processing, for example, zoom in/zoom out, change brightness/contrast
    Does any .NET class supports this? or should I implement it with my own code?
    If I should make my own code, is the PictureBox optimal control?

    Hmm.  If you don't know where to start then maybe the do-it-yourself approach is not going to work for you.
    Here's code for a simple control you can use to display an image with a transform matrix and a color matrix.
    using System;
    using System.Drawing;
    using System.Drawing.Drawing2D;
    using System.Drawing.Imaging;
    using System.Windows.Forms;
    class ImageControl : Control
    public Image Image
    get
    return image;
    set
    image = value;
    Invalidate();
    private Image image;
    public Matrix Transform
    get
    return transform;
    set
    transform = value;
    Invalidate();
    private Matrix transform = new Matrix();
    public ColorMatrix ColorMatrix
    get
    return colorMatrix;
    set
    colorMatrix = value;
    Invalidate();
    private ColorMatrix colorMatrix = new ColorMatrix();
    protected override void OnResize( EventArgs e )
    Invalidate();
    public ImageControl()
    this.DoubleBuffered = true;
    protected override void OnPaint( PaintEventArgs e )
    if( image == null ) return;
    e.Graphics.ResetTransform();
    e.Graphics.Transform = transform;
    ImageAttributes imageAttributes = new ImageAttributes();
    imageAttributes.SetColorMatrix(
    colorMatrix,
    ColorMatrixFlag.Default,
    ColorAdjustType.Bitmap );
    e.Graphics.DrawImage(
    image,
    new Rectangle( 0, 0, image.Width, image.Height),
    0, 0, image.Width, image.Height,
    GraphicsUnit.Pixel,
    imageAttributes );
    You can set a transformation matrix to do the zooming, panning, etc.  And set a color matrix to do simple contrast brightness adjustments.
    // Some example matrices
    float[][] colorMatrixElements = {
    new float[] {2, 0, 0, 0, 0}, // red scaling factor of 2
    new float[] {0, 1, 0, 0, 0}, // green scaling factor of 1
    new float[] {0, 0, 1, 0, 0}, // blue scaling factor of 1
    new float[] {0, 0, 0, 1, 0}, // alpha scaling factor of 1
    new float[] {.2f, .2f, .2f, 0, 1}}; // three translations of 0.2
    ColorMatrix colorMatrix = new ColorMatrix( colorMatrixElements );
    Matrix transform = new Matrix(
    1.5f, 0.0f, // horizontal scale of 1.5, 0
    0.0f, 0.5f, // 0, vertical scale of 0.5
    20.0f, 40.0f, // horizontal offset of 20, vertical offset of 40
    Contrast and brightness are performed together in a single matrix.  Contrast scales the output range and brightness is the offset.
    Zooming is just scale and offset.

  • Matrix  with one column browse one photo

    hai everybody
    i am going to  attached  photos in each and every columns ...
    pls....

    I dont know what you mean exactly? In matrix you want to show images or you want to store images through matrix (as attachments)?
    If you want to show images in matrix, the matrix column must be image type as
    <column uid="colPic" type="117" title="" description="" visible="1" AffectsFormMode="1" width="40" disp_desc="0" editable="0" right_just="0" val_on="Y" val_off="N" backcolor="-1" forecolor="-1" text_style="0" font_size="-1"><databind databound="0" table="" alias=""/><ExtendedObject/></column>
    If you want attach image to matrix, the filed you have binded to matrix must be subtype link as
    oUserFieldsMD.TableName = "ATTACH"
                oUserFieldsMD.Name = "PATH"
                oUserFieldsMD.Description = "path"
                oUserFieldsMD.Type = SAPbobsCOM.BoFieldTypes.db_Memo
                oUserFieldsMD.SubType = SAPbobsCOM.BoFldSubTypes.st_Link
                oUserFieldsMD.EditSize = 250
                lRetCode = oUserFieldsMD.Add
    Then when you dbl click on field, the browse dialog will be shown automaticaly.

  • Create thumbnail from selected images

    Hi,
    in my app the user can choose some pictures from his local
    file system.
    I want to create a smaller image of every selected picture.
    So I do this for each image:
    for( var f = 0; f < e.files.length; f++ ){
    name = e.files[f].name;
    src = e.files[f].url;
    path = e.files[f].parent.url;
    files.push( e.files[f] );
    //...some other code, not important for this...//
    image = new air.Loader();
    image.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(
    air.Event.COMPLETE, function() {
    var ratio = null;
    if (image.width <= 100) {
    thumb_height = image.height;
    thumb_width = image.width;
    ratio = 1;
    else {
    var thumb_width = 100;
    var thumb_height = null;
    var factor = image.width / thumb_width;
    thumb_height = Math.round(image.height / factor);
    ratio = 100/ image.width;
    if (thumb_height > thumb_width) {
    thumb_height = 120;
    factor = image.height / thumb_height;
    thumb_width = Math.round(image.width / factor);
    ratio = 100/ image.width;
    var bmp = new air.BitmapData( thumb_width, thumb_height );
    var temp = air.File.createTempFile();
    var desktop = null;
    var matrix = new air.Matrix();
    var png = null;
    var stream = new air.FileStream();
    var div = null;
    var elem = null;
    matrix.scale( ratio,ratio );
    bmp.draw( image.content, matrix );
    png = runtime.com.adobe.images.PNGEncoder.encode( bmp );
    stream.open( temp, air.FileMode.WRITE );

    stream.close();
    desktop = air.File.desktopDirectory.resolvePath( toPNG(
    e.files[f] ) );
    temp.moveTo( desktop, true );

    function toPNG( orig )
    return orig.name.substr( 0, orig.name.length -
    orig.extension.length ) + 'png';
    The problem is, that the "thumbnail" is only created of the
    last selected image. I think it has something to do with the
    air.Event.COMPLETE event. But when I kick that off, an error
    occures: Error #2015: Invalid BitmapData. at

  • Matlab script image support?

    Hi there,
    I'm trying to use the imread function in the matlab script node to translate an 8-bit image into a intensity-value matrix. It works in normal matlab, but not in the node. I can't find the imread function in any of the labview help menus, so I was wondering if labview supports that function at all. If not, does anyone have any suggestions for automating getting the image into matrix form? Thank you,
    Stephanie

    Hello Stephanie,
    Are you using the same script in the node as you use in the MATLAB® software?  What is the error returned by the node?  Are you running the VI on the same machine where you tested the script in the MATLAB software?  The imread function does seem to be part of the Image Processing Toolbox, so you will need to ensure that this toolbox is installed on any machine that you intend to use to run your VI.
    The LabVIEW MathScript node is a textual node and its syntax is generally compatible with the m-script syntax used by other technical computing software.  Jeff is correct in that LabVIEW MathScript does not currently support the imread function.  However, it will likely be added in a future version of LabVIEW.  If you are looking for a solution in graphical code, LabVIEW does provide some VIs for reading and writing PNG, JPEG, and BMP files.  You can find the VIs in the Programming >> Graphics & Sound >> Graphics Formats palette.  You can then use the Unflatten Pixmap VI to get a matrix representation of your image.
    National Instruments also produces a Vision Development Module for LabVIEW that includes more advanced image acquisition (IMAQ) and image processing functionality.  This module is more for industrial and scientific use than for duplicating what might be provided in desktop image manipulation programs.

  • SMM firmware observations.

    Im sure a lot of this ground has been covered but I thought Id put my 'want list' together. I blogged at http://www.sammorganmoore.com/fs7-notes-on-firmware/ Here is the text.. (badly formatted) The FS7 is the finest camera I have ever owned – I want to be clear on that. Slog3 is a fantastic space and the LUTs to delog it are wonderful. This makes the camera pseudo raw at 1/4 of the data rate of a raw camera.. well done Sony. Audio pots, a self powered EVF, low power consumption and other features also make the camera a wonder.. well done Sony!Now I think the camera could be moved to another level with some concentration on the firmware. I know nothing of firmware but I have a sense of what is easy to do and things that will push the processor to a place that it may not want to go. Bugs  magenta shiftWell known – Custom mode kelvin dial is off presenting a magenta shift in the image as one moves away from 3200k. cache recordOn event coverage I like to use cache record , however if I engage S+Q, and shoot an offspeed clip cache record is no longer engaged when I return to normal speed. matrix unstableWhen using custom mode I like to record Slog3, Matrix Off – as matrix adds saturation that should not be there in a LOG image. Matrix appears to ‘randomly’ switch itself on. mlut unstableAn early observation but it seems like Mlut status can be lost on engagement/disengagement of S+Q general unstabilityI cant remember other examples but other settings seem to ‘randomly’ move too. For example my camera is now on shutter speed – Im sure I set it to angle – setting it to angle means less button twongling when engaging S+Q menu delaysWhen I change ISO using the HML switch the EVF only picks up the settings two seconds later – very confusing if you are used to a faster response – If lags are defined by processor speed then the EVF could display a ‘wheel or egg timer’ in the way that computers tell us ‘this is hard, bear with me’ record status lostIn S+Q one can shoot a short shot and then get the camera into a status where the camera is neither displaying the record button or the STBY status – leaving the operator at a loss if he wants to start rolling – hit the record button again or not? A side note to this is the record button on the op side is not as sensitive as most record buttons. colour balance failThis might be a function of using Slog3/Custom which does not present the system enough colour data – but often it is impossible to use the WB button. If the camera is pointed at a white card it will read ‘NG highlight’ if one stops down in 1/2 stop increments the reading then suddenly changes to “low light’ making a click WB impossible. it is called tint!Tint is called tint by everybody and even in Cat Browse. So why is it called Temp in the Sony colour menu? Simple upgrades  Red dot on display offThis would be a simple warning to add.With the EX1/3 Fs100/700 one is still presented with an in monitor red icon when recording – can we have that back please. Display on/off was elegantly done with the FS100 Titles of Luts etcWith the EX1 I had many picture profiles built – they may have had titles like ‘SMM_EXT_Daylight’.. but on screen was not this title but PP3. With the FS7 the same or worse is the case. Ideally we would see something like..Recording: “EI : Slog3″Monitor: “SMM_Golden_Lut :”And in Custom Recording: “SMM_Daylight_Warm”This is super important at the moment because I have a setup “SMM_Minus17Magenta_55k” – this must be on when shooting Custom at 5500k and must NOT be on when shooting at 3200K which needs “SMM_32_Standard”(ideally this would also be burned into the meta data esp in EI so the colourist could go to the selected LUT to recreate the on set experience)  Taking it furtherReally I think the complete firmware of the camera needs a complete revisit. Sony should forget their broadcast heritage menu set up and move towards offering a simple interface that aligns with both Professional Cinema cameras and professional DSLR stills cameras (1dx, nikon D4) LUTsLuts should be consistent both in playback and HFR and not kill the WFM – I will not use Mlut at all until this is the case. LUts in CustomMany shooters are desiring EI mode to be ‘upgraded’ to include sharpening NR et al. I feel this is wrong as keeping those facilities out of EI gives one a safe method of recording image. Custom mode should be expanded to offer LUTs and then one could shoot with Slog, Sharpening, NR and a LUT. SlogCustom, match SlogEIWhen Slog 3 is engaged, matrix and all colour controls (excluding temp and tint) should be turned off – so that  SlogCustom matches Slog EI.  ISO, Shutter Ctemp buttonsPressing the ISO button engages Auto ISO – this is wrongand can ruin shots – Sony should align ISO button to match cameras by everyone else..The ISO button should open the ISO menu, 500-1000-2000-4000-6000-8000-10000-AUTOSame for the other two base controls..Temp 3200-4000-…..1000k-AutoShutter – 360-270-180-90-45-… Auto  RGB WFMThe basic way of evaluating colour in a digital camera is to evaluate large RGB histogram or WFM – addition of this.. even only to evaluate a still or in status mode would add a critical functionality – a functionality that is available on $500 and up DSLR and compact cameras. Bleeps.audio bleeps or clicks could be a confidence booters in start stop and menu navigation (EX1 FS100) AssignableEvery button shold be assignable!LUT ON/Off (see Sony PMW-F3)

    A little update from this weekend. I filmed a drama short. Overall the imagery from the camera and flex of the files is absolutely performing as expected. BUT Somehow the camera managed to perform a factory reset without me noticing (possibly on battery change - maybe I didnt leave the battery in long enough after turning off?). My mind is on story, and the 20odd crew and cast I'm concentrating on.  I faile to notice the factory reset - but was certainly noticing 'no synch' in my monitor! Bad lead? what has happened? Where is my WFM (on the EFV?) Rerig to lookat the EVF which the director had been watching mounted on the back of the cam (nice simple solution). Non happy director! At least the factory settings are Slog and 4k which is what I was shooting. So I lost my monitor (as 4k-1080 needs to be set up) and my WFM and also the camera went to 50p 360 shutter. So buried was I in trying to restore the monitor between takes that I failed to notice 50p/360 for about 10 takes - so they will need retiming in post. Nice images but it is super stressful to have to watch the camera like a hawk. I want the camera to by my friend not the little devil on my shoulder ruining my day whenever I take my eye off him.

  • Camera Raw monitor compensation

    I have this question: what is the rendering intent in Camera Raw 6 monitor compensation? It is fixed or changes with profile version (v2 and v4)?
    And: is the monitor compensation in module Develop of Lightroom 3 the same (i. e. same rending intent?) as in Camera Raw 6?
    Thank you.
    Mauro

    I retested with a specific target image for matrix/TRC and, as far as I can see, neither Bridge nor Camera Raw seem to use the monitor profile in any way...
    Can it be?
    Note that Bridge has no "Use Color management" switch anywhere in preferences. I also reset prefernces (files and registry) to be sure.
    May be that Bridge color management stops at embedded color profiles without using the monitor profile?
    The same for Camera Raw?
    By the way I test another well know DAM software... it uses Perceptive intent but at last it sees monitor profiles.
    A very strange matter indeed...

  • Passing Jbytearray to unsigned char

    Hello Group:
    I am newer in JNI and I have a little problem:
    I have a native method with the follow signature:
    public native int enroll(byte[] template);
    now I have it type data in C:
    typedef unsigned char FPIMAGE; /* fp image data object */
    Implementing my native method i need to call a function of a library to proccess this image(in this case the byte[]) but the signature of this method is:
    FPCODE *cA = bd_fpCode(FPIMAGE *A, int xh, int yw, FPCODE buf, int               qval);
    A = pointer to the fingerprint image pixel matrix
    xh = number of rows (height)
    yw = number of columns (width)
    buf = pointer to an external buffer with minimum size of FPC_MAXLEN bytes as destination for the created fingerprint code
    qval = fingerprint image quality value (in %)
    cA = pointer to fp-code (cA == buf) or NULL, if processing failed
    There is my problem i don't now how to pass o convert my byte[] template to a object FPIMAGE.
    you can help me please!

    Hi,
    bd_fpCode() function is a 3rd party library, right ?
    You can use a JNI wapper to do that, so you do not have to write C code.
    Look at http://jnative.free.fr/SPIP-v1-8-3/article.php3?id_article=4 how to pass pointers to your functions and how to handle structures.
    Alternatively, you can use env->GetByteArrayElements() in your own JNI wrapper lib see (http://java.sun.com/developer/onlineTraining/Programming/JDCBook/jnistring.html).

  • Kernel upgrade failure

    I´m running the process to upgrade DMS to 5.2 so first I had to go to 5.1, now I´m trying to upgrade kernel A1 in DMP4305 but when I am creating the advanced task for a firmware I can't choose the file I need after I upload it as a new asset into the library.
    Hope you have any comments.

  • --- Petition to put the support of TXT-files on the next firmware upgrade (Zen Xtra, Touch, Mic

    What do you think about creating TXT-files support in newer versions of firmware? I suppose it can be great! Imagine: you can store books (HDD! What am I talkin' about? You can store a great library on your player!), song lyrics and more!Message Edited by AL_exe on 0-30-2005 02:24 AMMessage Edited by AL_exe on 02-03-2005 05:55 PMMessage Edited by AL_exe on 02-08-2005 2:3 AMMessage Edited by AL_exe on 02-08-2005 2:33 AM
