Image Map not working in Dreamweaver CC

I'm trying to create an image map over a jpeg but when I try to draw a rectangle over the image, a grey stroke gets placed over the image then moves with the cursor.
Here is the only code on the page. Any ideas as to why this isn't working?

Let me see if I have this right...
1. From Design View, you are clicking your image to select it
2. You are then selecting the Rectangle tool from the bottom left of the Properties window
3. You are then clicking and dragging on the image in Design View to create your map area
4. DW puts a grey line around the image and moves it instead of adding the image map and area tags?
Run your page for code errors at http://validator.w3.org. I can't duplicate what you describe and DW will do strange things when code errors are present, it could be an error DW doesn't know how to fix that's causing the normal image map functionality to fail.

This issue seems related to S/MIME control and IE.
Please perofrm latest updates for IE and S/MIME. More details as below:
1. OWA -> Options -> Settings -> S/MIME
2. If any security warnings appear, click Yes for the control to download and install.
Also try to add OWA web site into Compatibility View in IE.

Image map not working

I have a graphic in a dreamweaver html file that needs to have multiple links on it. In the past you could use image maps to accomplish this or split it up and put it in a table. In the new CC 2014 I was not able to find this feature. Eventually I discovered if I click on the image in the code the map feature shows up, but it does not allow me to draw the shape over the graphic like it used to. I can click on the shape, but when I go the the image it does not let me draw it. Does this feature no longer work? How would I accomplish what I want to do? I would prefer not to split the image up as I know tables are old also. Is there a new way to do what I want to accomplish?

Image Preview not working in Dreamweaver CC

I recently switched from Dreamweaver CS5 to Dreamweaver CC and my images don't preview in Dreamweaver CC interface "Design" mode/tab at all. My images are hosted at an Adobe Scene7 URL that I know the image path is correct because it works when I preview using the image path URL.
I need to get these images to preview in Dreamweaver so that I can ad hotspot areas to them and also visualize what it looks like before making web pages live.

DW should automatically show you those files in Design View.
Unless you are using a firewall, that should not be checked. If you have not defined a site yet, that would never have come up to be checked.
Does View > Refresh Design View (F5) do anything for you?
What happens when you switch to Live View on the page(s) in question?

Image Maps not working in Firefox or IE

For some reason my Golive 9 submenu image maps (News, Locations, etc.) work in Safari, but not in Firefox or IE. Plus some elements seem scrambled in the two latter browser apps. Here's the web page: http://www.frankparsons.com/express/index.html

It couldn't hurt. Using your own CSS (or even old-school tables) will generally make any transition less painful than using program-specific features like the layout grid.

I think the equivalents in DW are called Library items. Haven't used them though, as I usually stick with PHP includes to avoid anything proprietary.

HTML image mapping not working only on Firefox browser

On my website I have some images, which show fine, however the image mapping which is coded using html does not work (i.e. when you click on a certain area in the picture and it takes you to another page). This is working fine for IE, safari and chrome.
Any help / advice would be appreciated.

Image Maps not working

Hi, here's the url:

There are 4 image maps over the word 'Start' at the bottom of the page.
I've linked the pages in the properties panel and there appears to be an 'href' piece of coding in the html.
The other maps higher on the page seem to be OK.
Any clues anyone? Any help always appreciated.

The 'overflow' style when used with values "scroll | hidden" is incredibly useful in controlling floats and margins on your page. When an element is assigned one of these styles, it becomes "a new block formatting context". What that means is that all interior floats (within that element) are automatically cleared, and no interior margins can escape the container. The problem you were having was that a subsequent element was somehow (and I'm not really sure why - didn't look closely enough to diagnose it) expanded enough vertically to MASK the linked buttons. When the buttons are masked, the mouseovers are not detected by the browser and the links don't work. By assigning the overflow style, you prevent that masking and the links are expressed.

CMD+ shortcuts not working in Dreamweaver CS3

I'm have a very strange issue with CMD+ keyboard shortcuts
not working in Dreamweaver CS3 on OSX 10.5. These actions are
working from the menus (i.e., copy, cut, paste, etc.). CMD+
shortcuts work in other CS3 apps. I've searched this forum and
googled up and down and found some references to issues like this
with Dreamweaver 8, but nothing for CS3.
Has anyone experienced this problem? I'm completely stumped.

The problem is that the link in the upper left hand corner, Suzie's Story, is a rollover image but it does not reveal the other image when the cursor goes over it.

Image capture not working in lion

Well! After 10 years or so of OS X my Kodak DC 5000 no longer works in image capture after upgrading to OS X Lion. After connecting the camera and trying to import images, Image Capture says "no device connected".
Went to the loca shop and using the same camera and cable, successfully imported picts to the desktop under Snow lepard, so I know it's not the camera or cable. Been a mac user for decades! never had a problem with "plug and play" until this update!
Do I need to get a card reader now? New camera? Not happening as long as this one works(ed). Already lost Photoshop, but didn't mind as I bought Pixelmator. However, the Image Capture not working is a showstopper. Is this Apple's version of Vista? Help please!

Yes, I have iPhoto 9.1.5, I also used the prefs and this still is not working. The upgrade to OS X Lion broke my driver and I am not able to do transfer any pics from the camera.
I assume I will now need to buy a card reader.

The names for the zones don't matter. You could use the 'extranet' zone for another intranet name if you wanted, the names are just to make it a bit more friendly for beginners.
What you describe sounds routine, you create a web application with a name, then use an AAM to allow users to access it with a more friendly name. Frequently you end up creating
http://intranet.domain.com and
http://intranet as an AAM, or vice versa.
You can use .com for an intranet site, you would need to add the site as an A Host record in your DNS server so that traffic is sent to your internal server rather than out into the wider world.

Hi Rashmi,
The problem would either be in cache update or your mapping. Please provide the sceenshot of mapping (after clicking the value mapping function).
you can also choose the option to throw error in value mapping function, so it will throw error when value not found.

If the banner image is not displaying, it is either not in an acceptable web file format (optimized for web as jpg, gif or png). Or it is corrupted. Or the path to the image file on server is broken.
It's impossible to say more without a link to your problem page.

Camera, Browser & Maps Not Working

It been since yesterday my Z10 camera, broser & maps not working.
Whenever I click the camera icon, it is not even opening.
Browser icon had changed, it turned to a triangle square & circle.

Save Panel Image / Screen Image does not work as an Executable

The Save Panel Image / Screen Image does not work as an Executable. It looks like there is a conflict with the Path, since the Screen_Image.exe is launched as Screen_Image.vi. I've tried this function both ways with the path name change Screen_Image.exe AND Screen_Image.vi.

Any chance you might be able to post some code illustrating what you are talking about?
