Image swap and restore

The image swap and restore won't work. I want to have one
image switch to another when clicked and then get restored to the
original image when clicked again. It lets me click once, but it
won't restore the image on another click. I found that when i
change the behavior (to say, double click) it works. Is there any
way to have the two images toggle back and forth when i have a
single click?
Here is my code:
<script type="text/JavaScript">
<!--
function MM_preloadImages() { //v3.0
var d=document; if(d.images){ if(!d.MM_p) d.MM_p=new
Array();
var i,j=d.MM_p.length,a=MM_preloadImages.arguments; for(i=0;
i<a.length; i++)
if (a
.indexOf("#")!=0){ d.MM_p[j]=new Image; d.MM_p[j++].src=a;}}
function MM_swapImgRestore() { //v3.0
var i,x,a=document.MM_sr;
for(i=0;a&&i<a.length&&(x=a
)&&x.oSrc;i++) x.src=x.oSrc;
function MM_findObj(n, d) { //v4.01
var p,i,x; if(!d) d=document;
if((p=n.indexOf("?"))>0&&parent.frames.length) {
d=parent.frames[n.substring(p+1)].document;
n=n.substring(0,p);}
if(!(x=d[n])&&d.all) x=d.all[n]; for
(i=0;!x&&i<d.forms.length;i++) x=d.forms[n];
for(i=0;!x&&d.layers&&i<d.layers.length;i++)
x=MM_findObj(n,d.layers
.document);
if(!x && d.getElementById) x=d.getElementById(n);
return x;
function MM_swapImage() { //v3.0
var i,j=0,x,a=MM_swapImage.arguments; document.MM_sr=new

  • Image swap and IE7 in DW CS4

    I have thumbnails 80px square and a div set at 600px square I select and name a loctor image and put in the div.
    When I set up image swap all works fine in Safari, IE8 but in IE7 after the image has swapped, if I move the mouse over or near the large image the image disappears and I get a black 600px size square with a red X in it in the top LH corner, this stays untill I click the next thumbnail. Any help would be appriciated.William

  • Show/hide lots of layer, image swaps and page size

    Hi - I am working on a webpage that requires 39 thumbnails to
    show 39 large
    images when clicked and to also show some text on mouseover -
    take a look.
    http://www.redsea.co.nz/lipitor/slidekit.shtml
    I have been asked to use scrolling divs to house the
    thumbnails and so i
    have.
    I'm working through the image behaviours (up to slide no. 10
    you'll see) and
    I'm wondering if there is a better way to do all this. 39
    rollover show/hide
    layers and image swaps seems very laborious to me, not to
    mention the page
    is getting far too heavy........
    Anyone got any better ideas? (apart from a dynamic page) -
    all thoughts much
    appreciated.
    Also, any other issues spotted around this site please let me
    know, I'm
    supposed to have this finished by monday am..
    Thanks in advance

    Yes, I have a better idea. Use the ShowPic extension from
    PVII -
    http://www.projectseven.com/,
    or even do it yourself with the SetTextOfLayer
    behavior in DW -
    http://dreamweaverresources.com/tutorials/settextoflayer.htm
    Either of those would be much better ways, since the page is
    not encumbered
    with the weight of all of the enlarged images UNTIL you click
    on the
    corresponding thumbnail.

  • Image Swap and Image Map

    Hello,
    I am going through some very rudimentary steps of setting up
    site.
    I have an index page with four simple areas I wish to turn
    into hotspots- I created them as slices in Fireworks then as Image
    Swap rollovers in DW. Now, when I try to apply a hotspot/image map
    to the rollover area, I can get it to link to the appropriate page,
    but it seems to have disabled the rollover/image swap attribute.
    How do I keep both properties enabled? Any suggestions are
    appreciated.

    Can you post a link to the page, please?

  • Question about image backup and restore

    W701 about 18 months old.
    I regularly back up using Rescue and Recovery. It says: "Saving an image of your system to your USB external storage device." I haven't found a way to get any clue about what is included in the image. I can't select properties of the backup, or find out what the size is.
    I've also tried google, and of the new info, none of it was useful.
    Does this backup include both drives, C and D?
    And it seems that this backup is just to do a restore on the same computer. If I even replace the SSD with a larger rotating hard drive, I don't suppose I'd be able to use the restore, would I?

    Hi Ashutosh,

  • Backup not recognized after logic board swap and restore from clone

    My MacBook Pro had a new logic board put in. I have an external drive that was a clone of the internal boot drive made with Carbon Copy Cloner, so I had booted my Mac Mini from the clone to continue working while the MBP was in the shop.
    When I got the MBP back, I reversed the clone to updated the MBPs internal drive with changed files from the external clone.
    Upon connecting the MBP's Time Machine drive, and reassigning that volume to TM, TM doesn't recognize the original backup folder as being the one to use. Instead it tries to make a new backup folder. But it fails and reports that there's not enough room on the disk.
    Is there a way to manually point TM back to a particular backup folder? Or am I stuck losing those backups and having TM start over again?

    V.K., thanks for pointing to the hint. I have some familiarity with Terminal, and followed the hint instructions closely. I could see that there was a new file with my new Mac address on the the TM volume. But still couldn't get my system to recognize the old backup, even after restarting and turning the TM drive off and on.
    Since I didn't feel that my old files were that critical, I just went ahead and erased the TM volume and started a new backup set.

  • HELP! Multiple Image swap restore problem

    Hey, Im interested in learning how to perform a multiple image swap restore.
    I've made a central image swap, and I want to make a few others happen on the same 'mouseover'. All done, simple. However, only the last image swap will 'restore' to the original image, and all the rest stay the same. I've ticked 'restore on mouseover' on all of the behaviours, but its so frustrating - please help me.

    This is actually really easy. Setup one swap image, then double click swap image in behaviours. The asterix indicates what image is being swapped but you can add more then one. So simply select the second image you want to change at this point and another asterix will appear. Muiltiple swap actions can be applied using one swap image command.

  • Image swap glitch

    Okay, I've got a glitch with an image swap. There are sopmething like a half a dozen pages in the site rebuild that have image swaps and none of the other have any problems. But this one has managed to find a glitch and likes it so much it won't let go.
    I've got the usual table arangement (as in the Classroom in a Book chapter 10 lesson) with the base image in one cel and the links in the others. There are three images that swap out with the main one. I'm using the behavior of clicking on the link to swap the image, not a MouseOver. People are supposed to look at the images, and then if they feel like it they can put the base image back by clicking on that link.
    No problem with the first image. No problem with the 2nd. No problem with restoring the original image.
    But. No matter how many times I've relinked the 3rd image, clicking on it in a browser gives me a blnk browser page with a message claiming that the image does not exist. When I hit the back button to get back to the page, there is the image right where it is supposed to be. So clearly the code is finding it, but it's sending out a false alert first.
    I am assuming that the glitch is in the code, but I don't know enough about code to know what I am supposed to be looking for to find it.
    Any pointers?
    J. Odell

    I went back and hunted through it again and found the problem. Somehow the code was putting a '3' where there ought to have been a hashtag. No idea why it was doing that, but once I replaced it with a hashtag the problem went away.
    I'd relinked it a half a dozen times, so it evidently really liked that glitch.
    BTW, can you give me any pointers on how you adjust the spacing between paragraphs? two full lines is more than really needed to make the distinction between paragraphs. The version of CSS that GoLive 8 used recognized a setting for adding something like one and a half lines between them. But if that's still in there I don't know what they call it these days. I would assume that it would be in the Block settings along with the justification, but nothing in there looks right.

  • Have a MacBook Pro running Lion and an IMac running Snow Leopard. Want to Back up both images and restore on opposite machine. Essentially swapping images between hard drives. Is this possible and any "gotcha's" to look for? Thanks

    Have a MacBook Pro running Lion (10.7.9) and an IMac running Snow Leopard (10.6.8). Want to Back up both images and restore on opposite machines. Essentially swapping images between hard drives. Is this possible and any "gotcha's" to look for? Thanks

    If the MBP came with Lion, it most likely won't boot with SL. Easiest thing to do is create a bootable backup/clone of each to an ext HD, partitioned to hold each on a separate volume, ensure that the original machines can boot with their respective clones, and finally, try booting the other machine with the other clone. Images are useless since you can't boot with them to test them out.

  • Backing up images on external hard drive and restoring to new internal driv

    I recently purchased a new external hard drive and a new internal hard drive. Before installing the new internal drive, I backed up the old internal drive on the external drive. Then I installed the new internal drive to my Macbook Pro. However, when I tried to access and print my Aperture images on the new internal drive, I received an error message saying "versions with unavailable master images cannot be printed." I clicked on 'show referenced files," but couldn't determine how to recover my master images. I checked the forum and under "referenced files go offline after restore from a backup" it said to go to "File>manage referenced files" but nothing else. How can I recover my master images? Please help - I have nearly 6000 images that are lost without recovering the master images. And no, I was ultra stupid in not placing everything in a vault = but I'm relatively new to Mac OS and thought a backup would be sufficient. Thank!

    The volume name of the new hard drive needs to be the same as the old hard drive - rename it if you have to - then they should be fine.
    If you cannot seem to make this work then you will have to reconnect them with locate referenced files under the file menu. Select all the files that are disconnected before going into the dialog.

  • Backing up and restoring using disk images.

    Hi there
    I want to create a disk image of a mac's HDD, then put the disk image onto secondary internal HDD, so that in the event of the mac going belly up, I can start from the OSX system disk, format the main drive, restore from the disk image on the 2nd HDD, and off I go.
    Using SuperDuper, I created a sparse disk image of the HDD onto the 2nd HDD. SuperDuper created a file called "HDDname.sparseimage". However, when I start Disk Utility and go to restore, it won't allow me to use the created file - the file is visible, just greyed-out.
    I used a sparse disk image because I read that normal disk images will be the same size as the original folders/volume and are read only. I only want it the size of the actual data because of space restraints and would prefer to have it read-write too.
    Is it a matter of just changing the filename from "HDDname.sparseimage" to "HDDname.dmg", to get DU to access it, or can DU not use sparse images?
    Anyone shed any light?
    TX
    Macfool

    Not sure if this will solve your problem, but I notice that although when I click on the Image button and navigate to a .sparseimage file, it is grayed out, I can drag-and-drop that same .sparseimage file into the Source field and it shows up.
    Did you try Images menu > Scan image for restore and selecting your sparse disk image to scan?
    Hope this helps...

  • Help with Editable Regions and Image Swap

    I need some assistance for a project I am working on, and I don't know a short way to describe.  Hang with me, here it goes....
    I am working with the sites 'Navigation' links.  I want to use a MouseOver behavior so that the image swaps when moused over.  I want the MousedOver image to remain when you are on that page.  I can manually make this happen, but I am running into difficulty because I want the Navigation to be located in an un-editable region so when I add new pages, the entire site will update as I make changes to the template.
    I don't know how to create this effect without manually swapping all the images via behaviors on each and every page, and when I need to do these edits, the region needs to be in an UnEditable region so that the template will update all the pages.
    I guess the question is, how can I customize images from page to page in an Un-Editable region in a Template driven page?
    Thanks.

    Image swaps are clumsy for navigation because you have to re-craft your menus every time you edit your site.  This gets very old in a hurry.
    CSS styled menus are not only easier to maintain in DW they are web friendly for all devices -- especially Smartphones who may have images disabled to save on bandwidth charges.
    DW comes with Spry Menus which you can customize with CSS
