Image Tags muddled in Reader v6

Hi, I have an accessible pdf created in Acrobat v9 on a Mac with image tags. Everyone seems to read this fine, apart from someone using Reader v6 on a PC who has the image tags muddled up (with some unfortunate results!). Each time they open the file, they get the image tags in a different order. Does anyone know why this might happen?

I wouldn't swear to this, but I think what's happening is the effect is essentially treated as a separate image during export, but as far as I know you have no way to select it to add the alt text or anything else. I don't really do this kind of work, so I could be way off base here.
A newer version of ID might behave better, so you may want to consider downloading the trial for CS4

Nested image Tag in tableview iterator

In the past I use the tableview tag "tableViewColumn". In this tag a nested image tag inside a link tag was used.
Now I use the tableview iterator. But I can only define one p_replacement_bee in the RENDER_CELL_START method.
Does anyone knows a solution for my problem?

Just off hand I see one problem. In your reference you have 'www.sap.com'. This link wouldn't work (and might be causing your problem, because without the http:// on the front it would assume that was a relative path.
Other than that I don't see a problem off hand. I normally don't render my elements to BEEs and then add the BEEs to the BEE Tree. I prefer to render to elements and then use the ADD method instead of the ADD_BEE method:

Imported keyword tags, image tags, main tags in PSE 12

I have converted an older catalog to PSE 12 for Mac. I have tags in Imported Keywords, and that also show up in the Image Tags, but not all show up in the main tags lists (People, Places, Events). How do I get these all in the main tag groups?

Yes, now I see the tags under "Image Tags," and if I right click the tag in that spot, I have the option to remove it. Thank you.
As to the Remove Keyword Tag option, "should be" appears to be the operative phrase here. It should be, but in many cases isn't. The option appears for some photos but is grayed out for others, even when the "others" have tags showing under "Image Tags." But I can live without this option working, since the "Image Tags" list gives me a woraround. Thanks again.

How to use Photoshop Elements 11 Image Tags in Lightroom 4.4

I would like to filter my Lightroom catalog by people in the photo. This could be done manually in Lightroom using metadata, however, Photoshop Elements 11 Organiser has an auto-analyse feature that does this automatically and creates Image Tags for all identified people. How do I use the Photoshop Elements 11 Organiser Image Tags in Lightroom 4.4?
I have tried:
Created image tags for identified people. These are listed in the Image Tags section of the main workspace and can be used within Photoshop Elements 11 Organiser to filter on people using Search and People features.
Updated metadata within Lightroom
Searched for tags in all metadata fields using Library Filters
I have been unable to find any mention of these Image Tags in the file metadata - perhaps they only exist in the Photoshop Elements 11 Catalog? If so, does anybody have a best practice for transferring this information between Photoshop Elements 11 and Lightroom 4.4?

Yes you can open multiple images into PSE from LR. But actually there is no great advantage in using Lightroom for Photomerge as the export copies are already created in the Library but the saved copy will be the merged version which LR will know nothing about, and which would need to be imported to the library separately.
I would personally start from Expert Mode in PSE11 and then use:
File >> Open
Navigate directly to the folder and select the images you want and click open.
If they are raw files they will open up in camera raw and will already have the light room adjustments included, if the metadata has been saved to file in Lightroom.
Click select all (top left) and then ensure the image depth is set to 8 bits using the drop down menu at the bottom of the dialog. Then click the open images button (bottom right) to send them all into PSE.

Using the af:image tag generates a http 302 redirect - image not cached

Using jdev 11.1.1.3.0 - I have a page template that displays a logo on top with the af:image tag. On my browser I have installed a sniffer called HttpWatch. When I look at the http requests I see that the image is never cached. Instead it shows a http return code of 302 (redirect) for the request fetching the image. the h:graphicImage tag does not have this behavior. Is this by design?

don't know the code detail of h:graphicImage, but the ADF Faces image component reads the image from the resource loader (which is a servlet), which is not the same as just referencing the file on the public directory of the deployed application. So I assume that this is the reason why the image is not cached.

StyleConstants removing image tags

I have a swing application I'm writing that includes a JEditorPane. I have written a toolbar to add a handful of common WYSIWYG functionality including things like bold, italics, and font size selection for changing the text in the JEditorPane. I also have to ability to add images inline. My problem is around the images. I can add an image fine. If I look at the HTML, I see the image tag (although it never seems to put an appropriate end tag, neither /> at the end of the tag or </img> after the tag). If I am to select an area of text that includes an image and make that whole selection bold or change the font size (or most any of the other functions I've have), the image is removed from the html. It still is visible in the GUI, but completely gone from the HTML. Here's the code snippet that makes all the text bold:

I figured out my problem (finally). The problem was that instead of creating a new AttributeSet like I should have, I was getting the existing AttributeSet from the EditorKit and reusing it and that's why I was getting unexpected results. So simply doing:

StyleConstants.setBold(mutableAttributeSet, true);
int selectionStart = editorPane.getSelectionStart();
int selectionEnd = editorPane.getSelectionEnd();
int selectionLength = selectionEnd - selectionStart;
StyledDocument styledDocument = editorPane.getStyledDocument();
styledDocument.setCharacterAttributes(selectionStart, selectionLength, attributeSet, false);gets the right results. That was easy, shame it took me this long to realize it :(. Oh well, thanks me. I appreciate you helping me figure this one out ;).

Help! 'itunes:image' Tag For Podcast on iWeb

Guys some how I have deleted the 'itunes:image' from teh RSS feed on my iweb Podcast site.
Any ideas who I can get this back?

You've managed to change the feed address to
http://www.mod-life.net/Filmsploitation/The_Podcast/rss.xml
and you need to change it back. I assume that you have changed the title of the page from 'Podcast' to 'The Podcast'?
It still has no 'itunes:image' tag.

Oh Dear Google.. When Automated Image Tagging Goes Very Wrong

Wondering about the "image" tag in the Tech Specs example

I'll begin by admitting that what I don't know about coding would fill a bunch of bookshelves, but I've noticed that some people (including myself) have been having problems with their image files lately. I've also noticed that the coding for the image tag in the sample on the Technical Specifications page (http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/techspecs.html) isn't formed like all the rest.

Andy is 100% correct (he makes some of the best podcast software around, so you're getting the advice of the pros here).
What will happen now that your feed doesn't validate is that the image will likely stay there. But that's not because it's correct--it's because iTunes will see a broken feed when it checks, and it won't make any changes at all. So if you add episodes, those won't appear because the feed won't be updated until it works again.
Follow the image art example exactly as listed in the example feed in the technical spec, make sure it validates over at feedvalidator.org, and you'll be fine.

Does Dreamweaver CC support the CSS3 Border-image tag? I can't find it anywhere. I've searched the help for that string with no luck.

Better check to see if it's supported well enough by major browsers. Last time I checked, it wasn't good in any ver of IE.

Adobe Air HTML & JS Developing - Slow on massive Image-Tags

I want to share a problem i noticed while developing an application with adobe air, based on the HTML & JS Stack, which uses multiple image-tags at the same time. I already mailed a bug but unfortunately did not get a bug number responded to refer to hit here. This post is started because i wanted to share a simple example which exhibits the problem.

Concise problem statement: Performance Issues with massive Image-Tags (scaled)
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Create a simple Air-Application. No need for any Air-specific library we just want the Air-Webkit to render a HTML-Page
2. Load ~130 Pictures with a dimension of approximately 1024 x 768 pixels. Render each of them as a scaled Image-Tag with the dimension 100x60 pixels.
3. Load the Page in the Air/Safari/Firefox/IE Environment (Versions: Air 2.5, Safari 5.0.2 (Win XP), FF 3.6.10, IE7)
4. Try scrolling down/left/right/up and resizing the respective stage
Results: The Air Environment performs worst among those 4. It reacts unacceptably slow while trying to resize and to scroll.
Expected results: similar performance to Webkit-Engine in Safari.
I know of one other discussion which seems to be related to a similar thing (http://forums.adobe.com/message/44913).
The Page i used to compare the Adobe-Air rendering & scroll behaviour against the behaviour of Safari, FF and IE is posted beneath (pretty long due to the excerpt of 131 pictures taken of flicker web service).

How to add html image tag in formsweb.cfg file

Dear all,
I am trying to display one image in background(not on form) by using HTMLbeforeform attribute in formsweb.cfg.
from local machine that image is displaying..from other machine which is network I can able to access the forms first page but that image is not displaying..
Where i need to keep the image? Is there any shared folder to keep images?
The following code can give a clear idea...

The image-tag has to point to an url at the application-server which is accessible from the client's browser. So, if your forms-url is something like
http://host:port/forms/frmservlet?config=xxxThe image-url should be something like
HTMLbeforeForm=<img src='/path/logo.jpg' align=left height=150 width=150>where path is a virtual directory on the application server. Either create such a virtual directory or use an existing one, like /forms/java, which points to $ORACLE_HOME/forms/java on the server.
You can test that by puttin the url "by hand" in the browser like
http://host:port/forms/java/logo.jpg
