Image with URL action in a table

Hi,
it is possible to assign a hyperlink to an image so o click an window with the given URL will open. How can I do this with an image wihtin a table. I assign the same URL action but the image is not clickable although the table is set to selectable and editable. Can anybody help?

Hi Kevin,
You can define an Image control uppon a Grid that has Resutls (with URL action as you did ).
If your grid with no results the Image won't be clickable.
Another importent thing for you to notice is the image scale-mode (make sure that it's on Original-size/ fit to scale).
- if you still having problem regardring this issue, please replay with your Visual-Composer version.

Image with URL

Hi friends,
I have a situation, i have an image in my report and if i click that image it should move on to a webpage(say Google).
so, i added that url through Image properties.
Then i previewed that report, tried clicking that image and it worked as i expected(it retrieved the google home page).
But after exporting that report as PDF file, it didnt work. If i try to click that image, only the image gets selected.
I want the report to goto desired link.
Someone please advice me on how to make it work.

I have tested the issue in my test environment and cannot reproduce it. Here, I want to know the detailed URL, for example, whether you have added the parameter in the URL.
The right steps are for your reference:
1.Right click the image control and select "Action" in the left pane.
2.Select "Go to URL" below the option of Enable as an action.
3.Type the URL according to your requirement.

Show image with advanced action

I want to show an image using using an advanced action from a question slide
I have inserted the image on the master slide because its a tick. And the question slides are in a pool.
Is there anyway to show this image? When I click show in advanced actions I get a list of images but none have the names assigned. They show img1, img2, img3 etc

EDIT- I think my main problem is that none of the images have the names that they were assigned. Why?

In order to use Advanced Actions to show or hide objects such as images you need to be able to reference the Item Name of the object. Objects on Master Slides do not have Item Names, so you cannot show or hide them that way. You need to place the objects on the slides themselves, give them a unique Item Name that helps you to find them in lists (e.g. change from img2 to img_Fred), set their Visible in Output to OFF, and then you can potentially use Advanced Actions to SHOW the images.
However, your next issue will be that on Question Slides you only have a few events you can use to trigger Advanced Actions. You can trigger an action via the On Slide Enter event of the slide, but that only applies BEFORE the user has answered the question correctly or incorrectly. The On Success and On Last Attempt events are the other events you can use and these fire AFTER the user has answered the question, but only AFTER the learner has clicked for the second time to quit the Feedback Captions on that slide.

Making a load of A4 scans of an A3 poster into an A3 image with batch action.

Hi again, I'm on CS4
I have a load of A3 art posters that I've needed to scan.
I've used an A4 scanner to scan 2 segments of the A3 posters making sure that segments are overlapping.
There are many posters.
Is there anyway I could go about making an automatic batch action and photoshop would automatically line the two scans up and join them together?
A step by step would be much appreciated.

Simlpe way to load an image with URL link into iOS with AIR

I want to be able to display an image (basically a small banner) inside my iPhone game which is loaded from my server where I can advertise new games.
What's the best way to do this?
Are there any technical issues I should be aware of?
Does it fall foul of any of Apples policies?

It's not at all against policy but you do need a backup plan for devices without connectivity. Package a default banner to load if there is no internet access.
Apple does not require you to ask the person permission to use the internet (like Android does). You're free to load whatever you like.
You can't load or change code regardless so don't worry about that. In fact you can only even package a SWF that contains absolutely no code, otherwise it won't load, so there's no way to change the code in an iOS app. All it can do is read something on the outside and modify its behavior via pre-written and packaged code, but you can't "load or change code" in any way.
For now, mobile apps are not getting the "premium feature" tax Adobe is putting into motion August 1st. They excluded mobile. But be warned (because you made a game and might use Stage3D, who knows) that things might become more complicated if your game is serving custom banners, you're turning a profit on it and you exceed $50,000 in sales while using premium features. Like I said though, this doesn't pertain to mobile apps, yet..

You don't use #workspace_images# since that is for STATIC files, not images in a table..

How can I create a new keyboard shortcut to toggle load images automatically preferrably with one action?

I switch the load images automatically selection back and forth in order to save on my 5GB monthly data plan. Is there a utility that would allow me to create a macro of multiple keystrokes to do this with one action? Something like the macro function in Excel? Or is there another way to do this more easily than going to tools, options and clicking on the box? I don't see a shortcut for this item in the standard keyboard shortcuts list

Getting Russell Brown's Image Processor Pro to work with an action

I have Photoshop CS6 with Russell Brown's Image Processor Pro installed.
I have the ongoing task of processing pics of different sizes and different width/height ratios.
I would like to get the following result using IP Pro (in collaboration with an action):
1. Downsize pic to 960 pixels wide (height doesn't matter, but needs to stay in ratio)
2. Watermark pic.
3. Save.
4. Creating a thumbnail of 320 x 213 pixels, without distorting ratio. This may mean downsizing to 320 wide with relative height, *then* cropping via Image-Canvas Size. Chopping a bit off is preferable to me than distorting the ratio.
5. Save the smaller version as 'Documentnamex' (i.e. adding an 'x' to the document name for the thumbnail.
I have 1-3 in an action and have used it for years.
But as for the task of a smaller thumbnail, kept in ratio but chopped and named with an x - I am stumped. I downloaded IP Pro for the task, but I can't get it to work.
If I save the original with IP Pro (at step 3), how do I then get it to make the thumbnail?
If I create the thumbnail in the action, *then* do 2 saves in IP Pro (thumbnail and 960 version), the bigger one will be pixelated (and no surprises there)
Summary: I want 2 watermarked versions:
1. 1234a.jpg: 960 pixels wide, height relative
2. 1234ax.jpg: thumnail, 320 wide x 213 high
Can anyone help? Am I asking too much of the software?

I copied that .jsx file to a new name "Xbytor Image Processor Pro.jsx" edit that file changed the string Dr Browns services to "Xbytor Image Processor Pro" then commented out all the code that added tools menu items but "Image Processor Pro" and I put that file into
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Startup Scripts CC\Adobe Bridge" even though Bridge CC is 64Bit seems to use theat location.
Bridge CC was updated by the creative clouds update and opens Photoshop CC 2014 now

Error with buttons in an interactive PDF with "go to URL" action applied

Hello, I am having an issue with buttons in an interactive PDF, specifically buttons that have a “go to URL” action applied to them. Most of the buttons in the document work fine and link out correctly however, some of the linked buttons InDesign is adding spaces to the end of the url, which the browser interprets as “%20” and breaks the link i.e. (http://helpx.adobe.com/pdf/indesign_reference.pdf%20). The added space effects multiple buttons in my document seemingly randomly, potential Bug? When the added space is deleted from the URL via the Button and Forms Panel’s URL field it is re-added by InDesign upon deselecting the button. Obviously the links can be updated in acrobat after export, but this is tedious and time consuming. Any help that can be provided would be much appreciated. Thanks!

But I have InDesign documents with sometimes 60-100 buttons in them. Previously I had to do nothing other save out of InDesign as an interactive PDF - perfect, with no editing in Acrobat at all apart from for a couple of document javascripts. It also applies to any interactive element. Buttons that are used for “show/hide” with others to create reveals and builds etc. Buttons that link to other pages within the document.
InDesign allows master page interactive buttons… make once use many times, Acrobat allows individual and painstaking editing of however many pages and buttons there are in the document, sometimes hundreds.
The solution is, until Adobe do a decent job of DC to revert to Pro XI and pretend its never happened.

Navigating a zoomed image with shift+end... but using an action or a script?

i a have a crop script and with all my images i have to clean the floor...
in that script the image goes to 200% zoom, them manually i hit "shift+end" to move to the bottom right of the image... so that i can clean that floor.
can you help me automate the process with a script or lead me how to create the code?

Do you know how to code Photoshop Scripts in javascript.
It is also impossible is Actions and Script to give users complete manual control only interactive controls of a step is possible. For complete manual control the script and actions need to be broken in to two actions or two scripts. It can also be done by adding stops in actions that divide actions into part that can be used to continue execution after the stop and user operations.
If its the just the bottom area you want to crop away its a relatively easy action to record. You would just inster a fit on screen menu item, record a select all, then use menu select>Transform selection rotate the selection 180 and move up the bottom about 10 % commit the transform and finally record menu image>crop. Stop recording the action and turn on the transform steps dialog to make the step interactive. When the action is played the transform dialog bounding box will display and be interactive. You have control of the transform. If the recorded 10% bottom off is acceptable all you need do is hit enter to complete the crop.

CS4 crash: preview an image with a secure URL

Every time I create an image with a HTTPS URL as the image location, DW hangs/crashes.
This is a relatively recent problem (last 4 months or so)... I do a few game related sites, and we have to include this image all the time in the footer. Unfortunantly, we cannot host this image locally:

This happens to me too, with Mountain Lion. It appears to be a bug in Preview. If the file starts out as something without transparency, a jpeg or even a png without transparency, Preview doesn't save it with transparency, even though Preview says it is - check the info for the image.
I have just found a workaround which may be useful: Take a screenshot of your image, then use instant alpha on that. It will be saved with transparency - look under info/general in the info panel.

You mean, you want to show both an image and the text in the same column? It is not a standard practice and against BLAF. My suggestion will be to either use 2 separate columns or probably the text written in the image if your text list is fixed.

URL action to open PDF on a shared drive with credentials

I am using "Go to URL" feature of SSRS 2008 to open a PDF file saved on a shared drive. It works fine for me as I have access to the drive.
I don't want to give access to this drive to all the business users who will be using the report. There are several reports on the drive which they should not access. Is there a way to pass generic credentials with URL to allow opening the relevant document
without giving permissions to every single user.

As far as I know, we cannot pass generic credentials with URL. In your case, we can set permissions for Shared Drive to work around the issue. It is assign permission to specific user on the network.
