IMAQ picture control not working on user computer

I'm using a few IMAQ picture control VIs in an application. When I build the application the picture only works on the computer I devolped it on.
On any other computer the picture does not display and the program is stuck in a while loop waiting for a mouse click on the ok button that doesn't appear. The application does a ton of other things, but I can't seem to get it to display a simple bit map picture.
I do recieve an error when the bit map is not in the correct location, which convinces me that the VI is running. Otherwise there are no error messages.
I'm open to any ideas or experiments that might help me understand what's going on.

Hi Sean,
It sounds like one of two things is happening. Initially I thought that maybe your driver wasn't included, so be sure that when you create your exe that you include the IMAQ driver. Also, your error message indicates that the image is not in the correct location. It sounds like your program is opening the image from a file. If the file is not in the same location on the new machine as it was on the development machine then the program will not be able to open it. Make sure that either the image is in the same location and has the same name, or put in a dialog box for the user of the program to enter a location for the file. You can click the Volume icon on the Windows Taskbar near the clock and click the Mixer link at the bottom to open the mixer.<br />

Using a Windows 2012 RDS Environment, we have users connecting to a CPD website, and as part of the CPD they need to run a systems checker. When they run the systems checker they get the following error message: "Adobe Flash FAIL: Adobe Flash Player local storage settings incorrect. Module 'Resume' feature may not work on this computer". All users are connecting to this environment with Windows CE Clients,I have checked the setting on Adobe Flash and they seem correct but as each user has its own profile on the RDS session, is there something that I should be setting for each user. I have added the website to the trusted sites and it has made no difference. Any ideas

It sounds like what's happening is that Flash Player can't write or read from the local shared objects in the user's redirected home directory because we disallow traversing junctions in the broker process. This behavior was disabled to address a vulnerability identified in some of John Forshaw's research into the IE broker last year.
You can enable this behavior by adding the following setting to mms.cfg:
EnableInsecureJunctionBehavior=1
That said, you can probably gather from the name of the flag that we don't really recommend this approach, and disable this attack surface by default. There's some risk that a network attacker could craft content that abuses fundamental issues with how Windows handles Junctions to write to arbitrary locations.
Unfortunately, there's not a simple or easy workaround that I'm aware of (but it's been ages since I've administered a Windows domain) for this kind of NAS/SAN-backed terminal server environment where Flash is not able to access \Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\ without traversing a junction.

Hi I am new to this forum and am asking for your help. We are sharing a computer, the PrtSc key is working for the Administrator but not when we switch users. We have tried everything that we can think of: From opening a the page(S) we want to paste to not opening the pages. My most common usage is to PrtSc and paste it into an email , but barring that we have tried opening a page in notes, documents, word etc . Nothing seems to work. I do not get an error message , it just won't paste. Since we are not computer literate we are hoping you can help us with a solution . Thanks in Advance .

Flash player will not work on my computer, would love advice

I have windows vista. When I visit a web page that requires flash, it instructs me to download it (even though I'm sure I have it ialready...). I do so, it says it has downloaded successfully but I still cannot view the website. I have uninstalled my current version of flash and reinstalled the latest version numerous times. It even shows up in my list of programs. But each time I visit a site that uses it, it tells me I need flash to view it. Very frustrating. And suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

This was very helpful - thank you. I unchecked "active x filtering" and it seems to be working, under tools in IE. a simple solution, that may have taken me days to figure out myself! Hopefully it continues to work from thiis point forward. Thanks!

SSRS reports are always best viewed in IE and the report result what you see in IE always will not be same and consistent in thirdy party browswers.
So consider using IE as workaround.

Default Dashboard not working after user login

Hi All,
We have one issue in 11.1.1.7.1 where PORTALPATH is not working for users. As a result, user lands on home page/recent page instead of the default dashboard after login.
I followed Doc ID 1576576.1 and Bug 17071629 - PORTALPATH SESSION VARIABLE IS INEFFECTIVE is reported. I applied patch 17071629 on top of 7.1. I have tried and verified that
·     The URL we are using to login is “http://machinename:9704/analytics/saw.dll?bieehome&startPage=1”
·         There is no Start Page set in user’s My Account other than Default.
·         In Answers, the PORTALPATH session variable fetches correct dashboard path.
·         I removed space in the dashboard name and tried with following path “/shared/Dashboard/_portal/PortalPathTest”. Also, assigned same default value to the session variable. I also tried “/Shared Folders/Dashboard/Dashboards/PortalPathTest” and “%2fshared%2fDashboard%2f_portal%2fPortalPathTest” but nothing works.
·         lsinventory shows the patch got applied successfully.
One thing to notice -
1.       Login url is: "http://machinename:9704/analytics/saw.dll?bieehome&startPage=1"
2.       After login, browser URL gets changed to "http://http://scoreboard-sit.wellsfargo.com:9704/analytics/saw.dll?bieehomemachinename:9704/analytics/saw.dll?bieehome" and shows Home Page instead of default dashboard.
3.       Now at this stage, if I append "&startPage=1" to the above step 2 URL in browser, it automatically navigates to correct default dashboard.
Also, This patch has fixed default dashboard in Act As. That means, If I act as a User, I land on correct default dashboard. But if same user actually logs in, s/he lands on home page.
I suspect if URL redirection after login is the actual issue. Please suggest if anyone has an idea.

I think this was the issue -
There was a java script error related to an undefined object, "accessMode" in logon.js. This is related to Accessibility or Section 508 (checked by Developer Tools of IE). We may have removed this code from the logon page which was causing the error. We had customized the page quite a bit previously. When I ignore the error and step through, I go to the correct portal path page. So we are going to replace the logon.js file with backup and hopefully it will fix the issue.

Thank you for the information. I do show that the device and car are capable of this function. I do not show any reason you should not be hearing the notifications. One thing you will want to check is that the sound for both your notifications and media are turned up. Also you can look into going into Settings>Apps>S voice Drive Mode> Clear Cache. This should clear any possible bugs in the application. Please keep us updated on this and we can check on other options.

The work around is to leave iWeb default nav bar and header enabled, add your home made nav bar (outside/below of iWeb default nav bar).
Then turn off iWeb nav bar and header when you are done.

If you only restored from backup, restore to factory defaults/new iPod. If you then still have the problem it is likely a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Beats audio controls not working

Using my beats headphones this morning with my MacBook Air and iTunes. Everything is up to date. Although today now the audio controls on the cord won't work. Normally I can pause iTunes or control the volume. I do this multiple times a day but no go today.
Is this another 10.10.2 bug? Illustrator 2014 CC no longer works properly with my external monitor. I'm getting frustrated with all these bugs.
Also, in my 'About This Mac' info window, it shows my OS as "135122" instead of "Mac OS X" - I'm sure that's not normal.
Any thoughts, anyone?

I did a reboot and repaired permissions, which solved the beats headphones controls not working.
Still concerned about the Mac OS version display though. Curious to know if anyone else has that as well.

Just in case, let's first try updating your QuickTime Player to the most recent version. Does that clear up the iTunes launch errors?

I have two computers. Flash Player 9 is not working on one
computer but OK on the other. It fails using both IE 7 and Firefox

Here is what I suspect is the problem:
The certificate for the Shockwave plug that is needed for the
Flash player to play the content is invalid when the browser checks
for it. Maybe this is because it was originally issued by
macromedia.com and it is now adobe.com. I don't know and no one
from Adobe has responded to my e-mail about the problem as of yet.
Very frustrating as visitors to our web site using IE who
haven't recently updated their players will part of the movie but
it will not play properly or display any of the text. This happened
sometime within the last several days as far as I can tell.
