IMovie '09 crashes endlessly

Question

Have a very short fim-almost finished-but program crashes everytime it is opened.
I tried restating=no help.
I clean the system-no help.
The movie, just over one minute w/sound, consist of several hundred drawings that were photographed w/ Vixia and then fed into the computer.
Any sugestions will be appreciated.

My 5D MkII video imports OK into iMovie '09 at 'Full' size without problems ..usually - although I have recently had a couple of instances of iM09 quitting (since I installed the recent 8.0.1 update). Importing as 'Large' causes no problems and always works.
There's no visible (to me) difference between 'Full' and 'Large' on my MacBook Pro, and, of course, it's less taxing on the processor/graphics system when handling 'Large' instead of the full-size image stream.
You may want to stay as 'Full' if your final result is to save the video to Blu-Ray video (with an external BD burner and using something like 'Toast'), but for other purposes the hi-def provided by 'Large' is sufficiently stunning ..for me, anyway.

I'll send feedback, too. Meanwhile, I don't yet have a need, myself, to import exclusively as 'Full' ..and 'Large' is working for me, till a fix arrives.
