Implementation of OSB service to Http GET XML payload

Hi,
I am new to OSB.I have a requirement where Ecommerce system will post a XML over HTTP.
Our OSB service has to receive that XML using Http GET and send it to a SOA composite as a SOAP.
My doubt are
1.can we implement the proxy service with service type any XML structure
2.Will Ecommerce provide any WSDL so that we can configure it in our proxy service.
Pls help.
thanks

1.can we implement the proxy service with service type any XML structureYes, that should be alright...
2.Will Ecommerce provide any WSDL so that we can configure it in our proxy service.\Probably not, if they are just sending an XML over HTTP that is probably not SOAP, if at least they can provide you an XSD that would be nice... Otherwise you may have to write one...

  • OSB proxy for HTTP GET servlet

    Hello,
    I need to create a proxy in OSB that will accept HTTP/GET requests (with ?param1=value1&param2=value2.... parameters).
    My goal is simply to forward this request to another servlet in J2EE instance that will actually serve the request and send back to OSB the text/xml response.
    Can you please point me to the correct proxy and business service configuration for this?
    Our SOA version is 10.3.6 and we have OSB and J2EE servers in our domain.
    Thanks

    Hello again,
    I found the solution so I will share it with you in case someones needs it the future.
    I created a business service with Service Type "Messaging service", request message type "none", response message type "text" and Http transport "GET".
    I created a proxy service with Service Type "Messaging service", request message type "text", response message type "text". I created a routing node my flow directed to the business service mentioned above. In the routing pipeline request i put the following actions:
    1) Assign:
    Expression $inbound/ctx:transport/ctx:request/http:query-string/text()
    variable queryString
    to assign the inbound query string in a variable
    2)Insert
    expr: fn-bea:inlinedXML('<http:query-string xmlns:http="http://www.bea.com/wli/sb/transports/http"></http:query-string>')
    location: as first child
    Xpath: ./ctx:transport/ctx:request
    in variable: outbound
    3)insert
    expr: $queryString (created in step 1)
    location: as first child
    Xpath: ./ctx:transport/ctx:request/http:query-string
    in variable: outbound
    Now the query string should be redirected properly to your business service/ GET servlet.

  • OSB Service Callouts - HTTP Threads

    Hi All,
    We are having issues with OSB service callouts calling the business services from the Proxy Services. Due to excessive usage of Service Callouts, the proxy services are hanging out in the OSB server. From the Proxy services,we could able to successfully invoke the business services ( SOA Composistes , EJB Webservices etc ) and the webservices are taking few milliseconds to process the requests,but the response is not reaching the OSB Proxy Service. Ideally the behaviour is not happening for all requests, but for few messages. We have set up a dedicated Worker manager ( 10 Min Threads ) in the Admin Console and mapped the Worker manager to the business services ( dispatch policy ),but with no luck. We have followed the below link and its not working.
    http://allthingsmdw.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/osb-service-callouts-and-oql-part-3.html
    Request to help us incase if you happen to see this behavior earlier.
    Thanks,
    Phani

    Hi Phani,
    It is a known issue with ALSB/OSB. There is a documentation in oracle as well regarding that "ALSB/OSB - Proxy Service Callout Causes Stuck Threads Under High Load [ID 861724.1]".
    Symptoms
    Stuck threads when calling a proxy service with a service callout /publish under high load. Proxy services using only ROUTE work without problems.
    Cause
    The service callout instantiates a new thread.
    As the proxy services are running in the default thread pool there will be no thread available for the callout under high load because all threads are blocked by the proxy services waiting for the response.
    This is expected behavior when using a service callout action and can be resolved by correct thread tuning.
    Solution
    A separate Workmanager needs to be configured for the Proxy service. This can be done by using the Dispatch Policy for specific proxy services (JMS, WS ..).
    For detailed information go to the OSB transport specific documentation and look for Dispatch Policy.
    There you will also see the link to the WLS Workmanager documentation.
    Please create a Workmanager using <max-threads-constraint> to limit the number of parallel executing proxies.
    Using this configuration the proxy will not block threads in the default queue.
    The service callout will still use the threads from the default thread pool.
    Hope this helps.

    Karan

  • OSB Service with Oracle AQ with payload type SYS.AQ$_JMS_TEXT_MESSAGE

    I am trying to write a web-service to Enqueue/Dequeue messages from an AQ with payload type SYS.AQ$_JMS_TEXT_MESSAGE defined in Oracle DB.
    In my understanding is that I need to create a JMSModule within weblogic with a ForeignServer defined within it to enqueue/dequeue message to/from the AQ.
    I have created Datasource, JMSServer, JMSModule, ForeignServer (created ConnectionFactory with localJNDIName="MyQueueCF" and RemoteJNDIName as "QueueConnectionFactory" and Destination with localJNDIName="MyQueueDest" and RemoteJNDIName="Queues/<queue_name_in_DB>")
    My business service has an endpoint "http://localhost:7001/MyQueueCF/MyQueueDest"
    When I am testing my service to populate message on to the Queue. I get the following error:
    The error was oracle.jms.AQjmsException: Error creating the db_connection
    My questions are:
    * Am I following the correct procedure to talk to AQ with JMS text message type payload?
    * If yes, how can I get around the issue I am stuck with?
    Please help!
    Thanks.

    ( queue_table=> 'SCOTT.AQJMS'

    end;
    This worked fine for me after a standard DB-installation.

  • Unable to get XML payload with new JDBC interface

    Hello - I have hit a wall in trying to use the new JDBC dequeue interface. I can get an Oracle connection and get a message with the following code:
    OracleConnection connection = (OracleConnection) getConnection();
    AQDequeueOptions deqopt = new AQDequeueOptions();
    AQMessage msg = null;
    deqopt.setWait(queueWaitTime);
    String queueName = "TEST_SCHEMA.TEST_QUEUE";
    msg = connection.dequeue(queueName, deqopt, "SYS.XMLTYPE");
    But I have found no way to turn this into an XMLType (or even an xml string). In looking at it in the debugger I have found that the only variable set internally on the payload is the byte [] returned by getPayload(). However, I cannot figure out how to turn this into an XMLType. I checked the Oracle documentation and they only discuss sending / receiving RAW message types.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Unable to transform EDI document to XML payload in Oracle B2B inbound op

    Hi,
    In our current project we would be implementing Oracle B2B.So I am doing simple POC on Oracle B2B inbound operation for a EDI document for a project requirement.Facing issue if Transformation option selected in Oracle B2B console. Would really appreciate if you guys give me some pointer..
    Below is short desacription of POC:
    1) Created ECS file for Purchase Order(EDI_X12 Standard, 850, Version : 4010) in Spec Builder 6.6.0
    2) Created corresponding XSD and dummy test EDI data file(.dat) in Spec Builder 6.6.0
    3) In Oracle B2B Console, created Document Type and Document Definition
    4) Created 2 Trading Partners : Our Organisation(Host) and MyPartner(Remote)
    5) My Partner is Sender and Our Organisation is Receiver
    6) Linked Document Type to both Trading Partners
    7) Created a Listening Channel
    8) Protocol of Listening Channel is Generic File
    9) Mentioned Folder Path and File Type : %From PARTY%_%TO PARTY%_%DOCUMENT TYPE NAME_%DOCUMENT REVISION%.dat
    10) Agrrement validated and deployed
    11)Checked option Transformation for Agreement
    12) In SOA Composite created a simple Asynchronous BPEL process
    13) BPEL process using a B2B Adapter is subscribed to Document Type(Purchase Order) operatioon Receive and Mode Default
    14) Using a simple Assiign activity to map payload
    15) BPEL then inoke a File Adapter service to write sme XML payload(picked from B2B fatre EDI transformed to XML) to a file
    Issue Faced:
    1) B2B could make oput Sender and Receiver Trading Partners
    2) B2B could make out the Agrrement
    3) B2B is picking up EDI file
    4) If Agreemnet has Transformation option selected, then B2B is givinng below Error:
    [oracle.soa.b2b.engine] [tid: weblogic.work.j2ee.J2EEWorkManager$WorkWithListener@182461f] [userId: <anonymous>] [ecid: 0000JILzvC2E0Va_xLp2iW1EzqZ_0000pg,0] [APP: soa-infra] [dcid: 162dbcacafdb4641:19e705e4:13495b34174:-7fd3-0000000000000070] java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: com.edifecs.xengine.xeobjects.XEHelper.createN2XNative()Lcom/edifecs/xengine/xeobjects/XEDataProc
    at com.edifecs.xengine.xeobjects.XEHelper.createN2XNative(Native Method)
    5) It is unable to transfer EDI payload to XML
    6) Checked payload in Wire Message : still showing EDI payload
    7) Due to this BPEL is facing issue since it is expecting XML payload
    8) In BPEL it is givimng Error: Index Out Of bound.. I guess may be due to EDI payload
    9) If transformation option unchecked in Agreement in B2B console then B2B working good but BPEl failing
    Options Tried:
    1) I Exported Repository,then purged design time data and Reimported and restarted Server and tested..not working
    2) I also created a Parser Scehma for Blank EDI document(that option I found in Spec Builder 6.6.0==>New Document-->Parser Schema(Blank EDI Document) and then placed that Parser Schema file(ECS file) in folder :
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\Weblogic\Oracle_SOA1\soa\thirdparty\edifecs\XEngine\config\schema
    and added an entry in XERegistry.xml
    <Item Name="SchemaFile">${XERoot}/config/schema/Spec2</Item>
    but not working..
    3) Checked namespace in XSd and WSDl for BPEL,they are correct
    Getting no clue how to resolve..Need help...
    Thank you...

  • How do I implement an HTTP Get which returns XML into a View Object?

    I've got a 3rd party program which accepts an HTTP GET and returns information via XML. I'd like to take that XML and then populate a View Object.
    The examples given in the manual are only for JavaScript with an AJAX server that I don't have. Here's an example:
    function UpdateNow() {
         var req = new Ajax.Request("qbwc://docontrol/
         UpdateNow?async=true&AppName=WCWebService3", {method:'get',
         onSuccess:processDataOne, onFailure:reportError});
    }I've been to literally dozens of sites trying to answer my question, but I'm just not knowledgeable enough to know where to start. Can someone point me in the right direction?
    Using JDev 11.1.1.6
    Thanks,
    Will

    I guess the basics would be:
    Create a Java class that reads from the URL of the service:
    http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/networking/urls/readingURL.html
    Then get the XML that you read into the ADF BC VO using the readXML method of the VO.
    Example 18 here: https://blogs.oracle.com/smuenchadf/resource/examples#18

  • OSB: Retrieve non XML Payload from a service that returns status code 500

    Hello,
    I'm using OSB 11g.
    I have a Business Service that invokes a REST based service (AnyXML). The service I'm calling may return a 500 status code and some JSON-encoded information in the response body containing the remote service error information.
    From a Proxy Service, I invoke the Biz Service using a standard Service Call Out. The Call Out works fine if the service doesn't return any error (status code 200).
    The problem starts when the service returns a 500 status error: it seems that there is no way to to get hold of the error information (string) that are in the response body. The $fault variable contains some info, but not the actual payload.
    I have also tried to "resume" the flow (using a resume action) but no luck.
    Is there a way to retrieve a NON-XML payload of a service even if the service returns a 500 status code?
    Thanks
    Luciano

    Hi,
    I have same problem, any idea?
    I created several Proxy Services between SOA (BPEL) and JDE. Proxy Service works correct, but if interface response has an error (fault) from JDE side, we get high level error message from OSB and we lost error information from endpoints. I want to get following error information from response body, which containing the remote service error information.
    e.g. <SOAP-ENV:Fault>:
    <SOAP-ENV:Body>
    <SOAP-ENV:Fault>
    <faultcode>SOAP-ENV:Client</faultcode>
    <faultstring>[ISS.0088.9134] Exception occurred while processing the body of the message</faultstring>
    <faultactor>http://HOST/soap/default</faultactor>
    <detail xmlns:webM="http://www.webMethods.com/2001/10/soap/encoding">
    <webM:exception> </webM:exception>
    </detail>
    </SOAP-ENV:Fault>
    </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    Until now, I solved errorhandling for Proxy Service with single route node, but if I use Proxy Service for “Failover” and OSB connect to Endpoint 2, BPEL-instances with "fault" state get OSB error message and WSG-Response will be lost from $body of messages.--> error-propagation to client is NOT OK.

  • How to invoke an OSB Proxy of type "Any XML  Service"

    I built some proxy services as "Any XML Service" which route to some other business services.
    I have tested these proxies using the debug console and they work fine. The question is, how do I invoke these services from outside de OSB? They recive an xml (duh) ...anyway, i have tried invoking them from a url passing the xml as the "body" parameter as follows:
    http://host:port/myproject/anyXmlServices/aservice?body=<myxml>test</myxml>
    not shure if this should work... how should I nvoke these services?
    thanks in advance
    Jhosue

    Hi Jhosue,
    before answer your queries can you please provide few info for the below mention queries.
    1>While creating Proxy Service what protocol you have selected in "Transport Configuration" page?
    2>If its HTTP, you need to specify some meaningful service name as "Endpoint URI".so that case the URL would like "http://host:port/serviceName"
    3>if the protocol is not HTTP/HTTPS, then you cant invoke the proxy via URL from outside.
    Note:
    If your Proxy is HTTP based then to access the Proxy from outside,you need a Client Program(may be any GUI or standalone code).
    There you need to specify what method you would like to follow GET/POST or others...i mean as per your service configuration.
    If its GET..then u cant pass xml with the URL,instead of that you need to construct a URL string.
    If its POST you can post bulk xml,that too using Client program.
    Thanks

    Thanks,
    Rohit

    you are calling wrong  the Service.
    ¿what kind of service do you have? RPC? Document?
    ir your target service its document, I recommend this:
    1. Test target service with OSB
    2. copy XML request and XML response from the test.
    3. use XML request format that you got at Step 2 in your source service and using it at your "Service Callout".

  • Calling a OSB service(Service Type: Any XML Service) from BPEL

    Recently i had question in an Interview:
    How can a OSB service (of Service Type: Any XML Service) can be called from a BPEL service ?
    This OSB service is not exposed as a WSDL.
    Protocol: http
    Endpoint URI: /TestOSBProject1/ps/SyncReadPS
    host: localhost
    port: 7001
    URL: http://localhost:7001/TestOSBProject1/ps/SyncReadPS
    When i hit this URL i am getting the message --> "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below."
    WSDLURL: http://localhost:7001/TestOSBProject1/ps/SyncReadPS?WSDL
    When i hit this URL i am getting the message --> "Error 500 - Internal Service Error -- This service is not associated to a WSDL"
    Is there any way yo invoke this service from BPEL?

    Thanks for your instance response.
    I had used HTTP Binding adapter in BPEL (with GET).
    Getting below error:
    Unable to invoke endpoint URI "http://localhost:7001/TestOSBProject1/ps/SyncReadPS" successfully due to: javax.xml.ws.WebServiceException: java.lang.ClassCastException: oracle.j2ee.ws.mdds.ArrayPrototypeImpl cannot be cast to oracle.webservices.mdds.AtomicPrototype

    Please help me to resolve this.

  • OSB Service callout losing fault info xml structure

    Hi there

    What's the content-type in the HTTP 500 response from the backend service? (not OSB proxy, but the original source of the fault)
    I suspect it is text/plain or just missing. OSB doesn't know it is XML, and so it escapes it.
