  • Exporting/Importing Batch Process

    Hello,
    I've created a very lengthy batch process and I would like to use it on other computers.  Is it possible to export and import batch processes, or do I have to create them from scratch every time?
    Thanks

    You can run the following JavaScript in Acorbat's JavaScirpt conosle and locate the location of the sequence files:
    var userBatch = '\nProduct: ' + app.viewerType + ' version: ' + app.viewerVersion + '\n';
    // find application sequences
    try {
    userBatch += 'Application sequences path: ' + app.getPath('app', 'sequences') + '\n';
    } catch(e) {
    userBatch += 'There are not any defined application batch sequences\n';
    // find user sequences
    try {
    userBatch += 'User defined sequences path: ' + app.getPath('user', 'sequences');
    } catch(e) {
    userBatch += 'User has not defined any custom batch sequences';
    console.println(userBatch);
    And obtain results similiar to:
    Product: Exchange-Pro version: 8.101
    Application sequences path: /C/Program Files/Adobe/Acrobat 8.0/Acrobat/Sequences/ENU
    User defined sequences path: /C/Documents and Settings/loginid/Application Data/Adobe/Acrobat/8.0/Sequences

  • FDM Scripting Query for last imported source file using Batch Processing

    Hi Experts,
    I'm currently in the processing of automating the FDM load process on our version of FDM 9.3.3 using batch processing and the FDM Task Manager. Most of the process works fine including an email alert which notifies users of when a data load has taken place.
    As part of that email alert I am trying to attach the source file that has been loaded in batch processing. I have managed to get an attachment using the following FDM Script Object of:
    "API.MaintenanceMgr.fPartLastFile(strLoc, True, False)".
    But have noticed that using this only attaches the last "manually" imported file rather than the last file imported using the batch processing.
    My question is: Is it possible for someone to steer me into the right direction of either a more appropriate API or if I have missed a step in my script.
    Any help as always would be much appreciated.
    Cheers
    Pip

    Unfortunately the batch process does not work the same way as on-line. I am assuming you are using the normal batch load and not Multiload (although the batch is simisar).
    the batch file name gets recorded on the tBatchContents table, and moved to the import/batches folder under the folder for the current batch run. However, if successful the file gets deleted (and from memory does not get archived). To add the import file to the e-mail, after a successful load, i think you will need to store a copy of it prior to importing the file.

  • Data import as a batch process - Issue on successive runs

    Hi,
    We have a requirement of creating a batch process that will have to read data from REMOTE_TABLE on remote database system and insert all the rows into LOCAL_TABLE on our local data base.
    Scenario:
    When the batch runs for the first time, since LOCAL_TABLE is empty, all the data is read from REMOTE_TABLE and is getting inserted into LOCAL_TABLE.
    But on the successive runs, the same set of data is being duplicated on the LOCAL_TABLE, which I want to avoid.
    I want to update only those records on LOCAL_TABLE that were updated in REMOTE_TABLE and I want to insert only those records that were newly created on REMOTE_TABLE.
    How can push in some business logic.
    Thanks
    Rk.

  • Can someone help me with a batch processing problem

    I just got my first Mac and I just loaded Aperture and unfortunately a deadline is upon me. I am used to Photoshop but I'm lost here looking at Aperture. All I need to do right now is to pop in CDs full of photos and produce thumbnails of them to put in file folders on my hard drive. I figure it's an automated batch process, but I'm just not seeing it among the functions of Aperture. I know this request may annoy some users, but I sure could use the help right now and I promise to use the tutorial and manual in the future.

    If what you mean is make a bunch of small jpegs - just import the images into an Aperture project - select them all and use export version to put them out in whatever size/format you want. If a preset does not exist for your purposes - create a new one with "edit.." from the presets drop down menu in the export version dialog.

  • Retrieving Automate Batch processes I created in Photoshop CC before updating to Photoshop CC 2014

    I used Photoshop CC this afternoon and created a couple of batch processes. This evening I had to update CC and the result was that when I opened Photoshop CC 2014 the two batch processes I created were not there. Is there a way to import them and from where?

  • Acrobat 9.4.4 crashes when running batch process to remove metadata

    I am attempting to run a batch process to remove metadata from all documents within a folder. Only one or two documents will process before Acrobat crashes. Any suggestions?
    Thank you.

    There may be a corrupted video or image file on your iPad.
    Try to download from the iPad using Image Capture instead and save the photos to a folder. If that succeeds, you can check the files for corruption before importing them to iPhoto.

  • Acrobat 9 Batch Processing - Get PDF filenames from folder?

    Hello,
    Can anyone provide me with an example with how to use Batch Processing (when set to a specific folder/files) to get a list of filenames in that folder? I haven't been able to find any examples online. There doesn't seem to be any built in batch sequences that automatically do this so I assume it will need to be done with javascript?
    Ultimately, I need to automate a process (I was hoping to create a batch sequence to accomplish this) that will allow me to prompt a user to pick a source folder of PDFs and then based on that selection, run a Javascript that I create which will merge all PDFs in that folder into a new PDF, apply some crop setttings to each page, and then prompt the user where to save the merged PDF?
    Has anyone ever done anything like this? I would love to see an example of how this might be able to be achieved.
    Many thanks in advance.

    Have you tried to create a test batch process (now called Actions)?  Actions in Acrobat 10 has the "merge all files in folder" option, and batch processing in previous versions has always included a page crop commad as well as an option for asking the user where to save the file.

  • Reducing file size in batch processes (multiple files)

    I am now using a canon XTi 10.5 megapixel camera. I'm loving it, taking tons and pics, and see my memory on my computer shrinking rapidly. I'm not too worried about hard drive space as I can simply buy another hard drive. Where I'm running into problems is on my iPod. I have an 80gb video iPod. It is suddenly full, Almost 1/2 with audio, 1/2 with photos. I'm realizing that I need take the 5-7 megabyte files each (photos) in iPhoto and reduce them down a bit in dimensions and/or jpeg compression.
    I use photoshop elements and am familiar with the multiple files option. I've used that a bit, nice feature.
    Heres my question:
    I know iPhoto is sensitive to manipulation of photos/changes if the changes aren't done through its interface. How can I go about taking the original pics for a number of events (talking about perhaps 2000 pics right now) and batch process them down in size a bit without weirding out iPhoto?
    Does iPhoto have an option to batch change files in such a fashion? Is it as simple as finding the originals in the finder and simpy reducing them in size and making iPhoto update its thumbnails?
    and how do I make iPhoto update its thumbnails, I forget...
    Thanks

    If you just want displayable image files on the iPod and not the full sized files then a very good solution, IMO, is to export those photos you want on the iPod to a folder on the Desktop. Then use Resize! to batch change the pixel dimension and the jpg compression level of the files. For my iPod Nano I use 640 x 480 and have Resize! compress them to medium. That gives me files in the 100 KB size range. If you want a smaller file just increase the compressions level a bit. Resize! automatically creates a new folder for the resized images so you can try different levels on the same folder. You can get a lot of photos on your iPod at that size. I then put that folder of resized files in my Pictures folder and have iTunes use it instead of using iPhoto.
    Do you Twango?
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Just what is a batch process?

    According to what I have read, one difference between FCE and FCPro is that FCPro can do a batch process. So for importing what would a batch import be. My vision is taht it would be selecting a bunch of different clips and then capture or import just those clips. I haven't worked with tape, just HDD so I am not quite getting the advantage of the batch option in FCPro vs just using FCE. I hope someone here can enlighten me.

    I can see where this would be a big savings of hard drive space if a lot of the tape was not going to be used for a particular project. But viewing it in real time and marking the in points and out points seems like a lot of time.
    But I guess you would be viewing it at some point anyway.
    Thanks for the information.

  • Save or Export Batch Processing

    I have created several different batch processing in Acrobat 9 for Windows to reduce the size of PDF files as well as OCR the files.
    I do the same thing with Acrobat 10 and I can easily export the processes (it's called Actions) and reimport them into another computer with Acrobat 10 installed.
    My question is, how do I save/export those batch processing steps in Acrobat 9 so I can re-import them when I needed?

    Thanks for the super fast reply. I found them under (it's WinXP OS):
    C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\9.0\Sequences

  • Batch Process for creating button sets in Fireworks - help

    Hi,
    I'm new to Fireworks still, I've created some really simple
    buttons and I was wondering if it's possible to do a batch process
    on them to repeat a few steps e.g. changing background colour,
    border colour, text colour etc... It would save me lots of time and
    I could make some extra sets then.
    Thanks,

  • Document for Import Batch Manager

    I am using MDM 5.5 SP6.
    Can someone provide me the concepts for  MDM Import Batch Manager.
    Also provide me the document for MDM Import Batch Manager

    Hi Laksmi,
    As far as I know, the Import Batch Mechanism has been taken away from MDM SP05 onwards. You can perform the Automatic Importing and Syndication using the MDIS and the MDSS respectively.
    You can find the complete process of Automated Import and Syndication in the 2 links mentioned below:
    1) Master Data Management Import Server and Master Data Management Syndication Server - Webinar Powerpoint
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/8973bcaf-0801-0010-b7a7-f6af6b1df00e
    2) MDM Syndication - This gives you the MDSS config required in the .ini file
    /people/harrison.holland5/blog/2006/11/27/mdm-syndication
    The 1st link will give you step by step info about Automatic Import and Syndication process.
    Hope this helps.

  • Image matte key: batch processing possible?

    Hello again,
    I have a question concerning batch processing with Premiere Pro CS5.5.
    I would like to apply an image matte key to about 30 videos. The matte doesnt change, neither does the background photo.
    I would like to know if there's a way to apply this to all the videos at the same time.
    I have only been able to apply it to one video at a time, which means that I would have to do the same process 30 times. Because I have about 12 sets of background photos, I would have to do it about 360 times in the end. So batch processing would really help...
    I need the videos to be seperate in the end (360 videos).
    I hope someone has a solution for me. Thanks a lot in advance!!!

    Check to see if this works:
    Create and Import your Matte into PrPro. Place it on the desired Video Track, and then extend its Duration for all Clips on that Timeline. Apply the Track Matte Keying to the first Clip, and make the attributes adjustments to it. Rt-click that Clip, and choose Copy. Then lasso all other Clips in that Track, Rt-click on them and choose Paste Attributes. Does that work?
    Good luck,
    Hunt
    PS - not sure if a Nested Sequence would also do what you want.

  • How to force Functional Module to use Batch-Process ?

    Hello all,
    I am calling a FM via synchronous RFC. No matter what I try the functional module is started
    in a dialog process in the remote system. This is inconvinient because sometimes the process takes too long and a timeout occurs. I also tried transactional RFC and asynchronos RFC but no  difference here.
    The FM will always be executed in a dialog process.
    How can I tell the functional module to use a batch process ?
    Thank you for your answers,
