Hi,
How can i import an other Buissnes component in my project and make a view componnent with the component of my package and with this new imported component
Thanks

If you want to import an entity object, then click on the add component to project button in the JDeveloper Navigator pane. From the list of files, select the xml file for the desired entity object. the xml file and the corresponding java files will be added to ur project.

  • Creating and Binding View Objects dynamically : Oracle Jdeveloper 11g

    Hello,
    We are trying to create and bind view objects dynamically to adf data visualization components.
    The view object is a result of multiple tables.
    We are using Oracle JDeveloper 11g Technical Preview. ( can't upgrade to TP2 or TP3 now).
    We have found this : http://radio.weblogs.com/0118231/stories/2003/07/15/creatingUpdateableMultientityViewObjectDefinitionsDynamically.html on our search for the same.
    The sample application however, is in 10g , hence required migration.
    Also, it was a standalone application with the TestClient.java having a main() method.
    Our requirement is for Web Application; we use Adf+jsf .
    Guidance of any sort is very much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    there also exist a forum for JDeveloper 11: JDeveloper and OC4J 11g Technology Preview
    What you are trying todo is not trivial because you need to not only dynamically create the VO, you would also dynamically need to create the binding meta data for it (assuming you use ADF). Not sure if the API to modify the binding is public, so posting it on the JDeveloper 11 forum bears a glimpse of hope for an answer
    In JDeveloper 10.1.3 you can't do this

  • Iterating through master view objects and child view objects in same page

    I am working on a project using ADF UIX and Business Components.
    I have an application module with two view objects one the master view object and the second the detail object. They are related via a view link.
    I would like to iterate through the master view objects displaying a customer name as bold text and then below each customer name I'd like to display the detail records in a table via the detail view object i.e. a seprate table for each customer.
    Is this possible - I haven't had much luck!?
    Thanks in advance.

    That's because
    $(".ms-vb2 a").
    is bringing back all the pieces that have that class with an anchor on the whole page, not just the ones in the .ms-wpContentDivSpace
    I don't know the exact syntax, but I think you need to iterate through all the '.ms_vb2 a' items as well - there are multiple ones, and do something like this inside your other grouping
    $(".ms-vb2 a").each(function(index) {
        var val=$(this).html();
       var val2=val.replace(/_/g," ")
       $(this).html(val2);
    That's not quite right but maybe that will help.

  • ViewLink between DB and Programmatic View Objects

    Im using programmatic view objects as described in #132 of http://blogs.oracle.com/smuenchadf/resource/examples
    I can create view links between these programmatic view objects, but when I create a ViewLink from a DB ViewObject to a programmatic view object, the programmatic one fails to see the view link when invoked, and therefore doesnt return the correct detail objects.
    Has anyone created a view link like this before? If so, can I see the code or an example?

    If you look at example #132 above, you'll see a ListOfMapsDataProviderViewObjectImpl - which is a custom ViewObject that delivers data programmatically. There's a method in this object "getFilterCriteria(..)" that looks at the parameters delivered to the ViewObject, and any ViewLinks, to produce a map of parameters that the underlying DataProvider can use to filter its data. When you setup a ViewLink between two of these ViewObjects you may see a filter on a foreign key, since the master view object is retrieving its detail objects. However, when the master object is a standard database view object, the view link doesnt work, i.e. the getFilterCriteria method does not see the view link when it calls ViewObjectImpl.getViewLinks().

  • Drilling down on a Graph Panel component with a View Object as Data Source

    I am using a Graph panel attached to a View Object as the data source, to display a bar graph. I would like to support a double-click on
    a specific bar, to display the row(s) of data behind the bar. I can see in the BI Beans API reference a DrillRequesting event on the Graph class.
    Is this the correct event in which to place logic for this function? How can I trigger this event? How can I retrieve the component attributes
    (i.e. group, series, values), for the selected bar?
    Thanks in advance for the help!

    DrillRequesting event is used in association with BI Crosstab control.
    Did you try addMouseListener() method on the Graph in association
    with getDataSource() method ?.
    You may also want to try posting this query in the BI Bean forum.

  • View link creation on two view objects, and both view objects are populated program(not from sql)

    I have master and detail VO , both views data is loaded in program. Now for show/hide feature, I create View Link Object and using one element from both child and master VO , View Link Object created properly.

    Now because of that , I cannot say what is a instance name of that view link object.
    Hence getting following error  -- Invalid or missing view link. Please attach view link with the bean.

  • How to bind UI component to a view object which is created from a SQL query

    I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.
    I created a method in my ApplicationModule to create an instance of ViewObject dynamically based on a "voCode" passed in :
    public ViewObject loadVO(String voCode) {
    ViewObject viewObject = findViewObject(voCode);
    if (viewObject == null) {
    viewObject = createViewObject(programCode);
    return viewObject;
    I created a Client interface for this method and refreshed the data control of the ApplicationModule.
    From the "Oracle JDeveloper 11g Handbook", I should be able to create a tree binding and a methodIterator executable for the "loadVO" method via the data control of the AM.
    I tried to add the binding manually to the page definition of my jspx page as I like to see if I can replace an existing binding with this new binding.
    I was not able to add the binding as the "Create Tree Binding" required both the "Root Data Source" and "Tree Level Rules" to be specified.
    I could specify the "Root Data Source" to point to the "loadVO" and corresponding parameter but not able to add any rule.
    When I clicked on the "+" icon to add rule, nothing happened that allowed me to specify the rule (if I know what rule I need to add).
    How should I bind the application module method "loadVO" so that it can be exposed in the Data Control to provide the data for a UI component like dynamic table?
    On the other hand, I could create the "methodIterator" first for the AM method "loadVO" but I wasn't able to create a tree binding to reference the "methodIterator".
    Is it possible to invoke the loadVO method with specific parameter value via the "methodIterator" from a bean method?

  • Using different datasources and different view objects.. (ADF 11g)

    In our application we have the need for using two different datasource (an old version and a new verision) - but not at the same time.
    Isn't it possible to base a viewobject on top of two sub viewobjects and run time decide which sub viewobject to use?
    If possible - could someone please show some code examples?
    Thanks...

    Hi,
    no, not exactly. You can have polymorphic views, but the use case is a different. The transaction is maintained by the AM, so if you want to connect to different data sources then you have to connect to them when starting the application, For this you can configure it for dynamic JDBC connect

  • Creating and Using View Objects on JDev 10g against SQL Server 2005

    I'm currently working on this project on Jdeveloper against a SQL Server 2005 DB (I couldn't talk this people to migrate to Oracle... :-( ), and it's the first time I work with JDev against a database other than 10g.
    I had no problem making the connection, and I can see the DB in Conections->Databases, but when I create an app. module, and create entities and views and add them to the app. module to access them through the Data Controls, these don't work. I can see the view on the Data Controls, and when I drag them to my jspx page it shows the menu that let's me choose whether I want to create a table, or a selection, or a tree, but once I choose one, it does nothing.
    I've search all over the internet and haven't found a solution, so I come to this forum desperate for help, seriously.
    Please get in touch; if anyone knows another solution that doesn't involve not using JDev or SQL Server 2005, please let me know, because I basically need to have a few selectonechoice showing some data from a few tables.
    Thanks for reading this post, and hope to get help.

  • Error when dynamically creating and binding view object

    Hi,
    I'm using JDeveloper 10.1.2.1.0 (1913) to create a JSP - Struts - ADF BC application.
    I'm trying to create a lov page that is based on a viewobject whose query (and bindings) are set at runtime (like Steve Muench shows in one of his undocumented ADF samples).
    In the prepareModel() I do the following:
    -unbindRowsetIteratorFromDynamicQueryIteratorBinding(...)
    -changeDynamicViewObjectQuery(...)
    -recreateRangeBindingForDynamicQuery(...)
    -removeControlBinding(...)
    -addDynamicRangeBinding(...)
    So I remove the existing binding, change the query of the viewobejct and recreate the bindings.
    I have got most of the code running except for 1 issue:
    1. The first time I call my Lov I get the a stacktrace (included at the end of this post). If I close the window and click the Lov button again it is working fine.
    Can someone help me out with this one???
    Here is the stacktrace I am getting:

    Here is some more info:
    I can reproduce the problem using the code Steve Muench supplies in his undocumented ADF samples.
    If you add the following line to the jsp in the example code(browseResultsOfDynamicVO.jsp):
    <c:set var="rangeStart" scope="request" value="${bindings.DynamicViewObjectIterator.rangeStart}"/>You will get the behaviour I am facing.
    The first time in your session you enter a valid query and submit it you get a stacktrace. By refreshing the page it works.
    It looks like that when recreating the bindings at runtime something more is fone that isn't done at design time. So the first time the statement fails but once the bindings have been recreated at runtime it suddenly works....
    The main question is: what is it that is done at runtime and is missing at design time?

  • I only have the exported .zip file for a project, can I import to captivate and make a .cptx source file?

    I am working on a multi-person team with Captivate 7. The CPTX source file cannot be located for one module. We have the exported .zip files in our Version Control system. Can I take these files and recreate the .cptx file. I don't mind having to recreate a little functionality, but am hoping to avoid starting from the beginning with this file.
    I know this can be done for RoboHelp files, was hoping some script existed for Captivate as well.

    You might be able to save a bit of headache by extracting the content of the zip. Likely a SWF will be inside along with other files. You could then play the SWF and capture the screens. Might save a tiny bit of effort.

  • Diff between get and find View Object methods.

    Dear Forum,
    I have a very basic query to ask as a newbie. In oaf examples and dev guide I see usage of get<voname> and am.findViewObjects('<vo name'>);
    what is the difference between 2 calls and when to use each and where. An example to use each in relevant context would be great !
    Thank You
    Shanky

    Shanky,
    You can any one of the method but calling get*VO is always fast compare to find*VO because find VO will iterate through all the added method inside the AM and then use the get*VO method.
    Mostly we use get*VO from the AM whereas findVO is mostly used in CO.

I want to import data from one CSV file. So when I imported data and have some empty fields in column C. When I create SelectOneChoice object in my form, and run it, then it takes also empty fields as choices in my SelectOneChoice object. It is when I create Select one choice from column C Why it is so? And what to do?
